It's always late when it comes to updating this app, so disappointing.

I personally love this game, it's just amazing and does a lot more to hold my attention than Minecraft does. There are so many places to explore, items to find/craft, NPCs to interact with, monsters to fight, and bosses to defeat. However, two things really bother me. One would be the fact that writing on signs still isn't a feature for this mobile version of Terraria. And that there seems to be a bug with the colors of wall painting (which may just be my own phone's issue).

I purchased the game for $4.99 and it WAS well worth it and I would have given five stars because of the game being so great. BUT the update that change the controls ruined the game play completely. I love this game but the controls need to be fixed. Honestly returning the controls to the original format would be ideal. If that happens or an option in the settings, where we have the ability to change controls, I will retract my two stars and give a full five stars and take down this review. Ty

Great game, ported from pc so there are downsides such as less items, but still really fun to play. If you experience some issue with the control, the problem may lie in you phone, I have multiple budget smartphone which aren't very powerful, but everything runs smoothly, except for the map that take quiet a while to open. Overall, great game (also recommended to get the game on Steam)

In my opinion the best game you can have on your phone. Doesn't use a lot of battery, easy to navigate in game. One thing i would ask is: making the icons for the quick select inventory on the top left smaller, so we can have more selections... please. With pc you have 9 quick select options but on my phone it's 5 and i know it's the same with the phone or tablet. but having the option to make it smaller and have more quick slots would help a lot.

Finally, after many weeks and months, the controller support was finally added to this trial version. The massive delay on the updates has been going on for a long time. I sent a message to the support since I was just waiting to be able to use my xbox controller to play on my phone but still have no reply after a month. (Not even any kind of automated response). I absolutely love Terraria and the passion of the devs but the customer support is just awful.

I've been a Terraria fan for years. Owned and installed this game since its earliest versions. Own it for xbox 360 and xbox one. It is by far the best sandbox game ever invented. However, the 1.3 release has RUINED the controls for mobile. The new layout has retarded years of intuitive game play. They are now stupid complex for what they need to be, almost to the point that they feel broken. Expert mode enemies are also unbalanced to their console counterparts. Please add legacy controls.

This game is great and has been well adapted to mobile platform from the PC version. Controls take a bit of getting used too but after that it's all good. I would give this game 5 star but dragging and moving items in the inventory takes ages as the drag selection is buggy. I will try and hold to drag an item multiple times but the game doesn't register so lots of wasted time. Once fixed will give 5 star happily!

Got it for Steam, console, and long-since-past mobile. It's as great as it was when I first got it around 1.2. Controls and UI clean up should be patched soon enough (around 2019?), for those who are wondering what's going on. All in all, despite the awkward turns of events on ReLogic's part, Terraria is an endearing experience on all platforms.

I am very fond of this game, and it was the one game I grew up on and made friends with. (that was on PC tho) tbh, it's 100x better on PC, you can mod it aswell. it's (currently) $10 on steam, so its definately affordable. Even so, I would pay $100 for it. (when I bought Terraria it was $30) The game can be difficult, or easy depending on what difficulty you choose. There are servers, and tons of bosses to defeat. Plus you can play with friends! It's an elaborate game and I HIGHLY recommend it!!

Controls are too wonky compared to the PC version. Smart cursor and the mobile zoom cursor are different and don't work super well. Needs different control schemes, and cross platform play with PC. Unfortunately, I think is less to do with Terraria, and more to do with touchscreens just being a garbage substitute for mouse and keyboard.

I'm a huge fan of the pc game but I just couldn't play this version 'cause the inventory is SO frustrating. Why the hell would you get a description of the item by taping it?? Just make it so you tap the item and you can instantly move it, it's simple. One of the most annoying things in terraria is inventory management and it only got worse here. Also make it so you can Press the trash can and keep deleting items from your inventory. an "equip" function instead of dragging would be very nice.

This game is fun but the controls are bad. it keeps on magnifying my screen and the tutorial is (well at least for me) is broken. I put down the door in the right place but I was stuck in the tutorial. I'm definitely not buying the mobile version with these controls but I've seen gameplay and it's pretty good

Interesting to play it on a tablet instead of the computer. The controls are a little wonky. Especially movement. Jumping is hard to get to activate when you want it to and the joy stick seems to jump around. Might be better with one of those stick on joysticks but as is pc version is better.

I love Terraria, it is an excellent game that I can play anywhere without the need of internet! The only reason I didn't rate it 5/5 is because, and every game has this, the crashes. Though the crashes are very uncommon they still happen. That makes some people angry. But either way this game is truly amazing and I see myself playing it a whole lot on my phone just as I do on console!

love this game but I've lost all my cloud games after beating skeletron and trying to continue, after I finished that boss I explored the dungeon and died. reset me to my house and then lost all my progress once I exited to main menu after saving and closed the game. not sure what happened but very frustrating losing my progress that it takes a while to grind out gear in the beginning

Good Game. Needs Controller Support. Terraria has an excellent gameplay loop and it is a great time spender, as your time is seldom wasted, however its lack of compatibility with most controller apps lets it down. The game site says it works with a specific controller however I've had a great deal of trouble making it work. With the console port yhe control scheme should be easy to activate and simple to control. Please look into it.

Pretty glad I tried the free version first. Really annoying bug makes it almost impossible to drag and drop items in the inventory. The final tutorial message stays visible on the inventory / crafting screen only and can't be dismissed, getting pretty in the way. Also, not sure if this was intentional or not, but restarting the game made me start all over at the beginning of the tutorial again. First impressions are VERY important in a trial version, and this was not a good one.

I'd say it's a solid "meh." Let me start by saying I LOVE Terraria. I have it on PC and it's awesome. I decided to try the mobile version for kicks and have discovered that I really don't much care for it. The controls are annoying and clog up the screen. It just isn't very user-friendly. Terraria is a great game but it just isn't well suited to mobile. If you want to play it, just get it on Steam. It's really cheap and lots of fun- all around a great sandbox game, just not on mobile.

Absolutely love this game. Please don't relate it to minecraft because of the blocks, it's 2 complete different games. But honestly it's so fun, can play with friends too, but only by using same wifi. So many different things to do, lots of exploring. Can make your ien 2d style houses, unlimited amount of thibgs to design. Collect and make all kinds of different things and put them in your house and anywhere in the world. Hope this is a good enough review haha. Enjoy!

overall experience is 2.5, but I want to give it more. the controls are frustrating at times and not completely bad but there are nightmares I have with the dragging of items into your main inventory. minor bugs and one major bug that keeps deleting my character from the cloud save. so I have to keep restarting, absolutely horrendous think twice before you buy.

I love terraria but recently i've been having some issues. I haven't played the game for awhile and i wanted to olay it again, it was still installed on my phone. So I opened the app and it opened to a spinning block of grass and 'connecting to server', I was fine then it said 'Failed Install/Download' which is when I got confused. I waited for about 10 more minutes and it still hasn't downloaded. I'm not sure what to do.

Awful controls and we have been waiting for around 3 years if not more for update 1.3 which provides the bulk of endgame content. The PC version is a great game but having purchased this one leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I will adjust my review IF they ever actually release 1.3... I will believe it when I see it. Also a bit confused as to how "storage issues" reduce the maximum world size. It doesn't take up much space, I have plenty of gigs I could allot to your game.

probably the best game ive ever played. best part is that every time i get back into it i get this huge nostalgic feeling and im just generally happy to play the game. you dont even need multiplayer to have fun because theres hours and hours of quests and tasks and goals and theres all sorts of things to do. like right now I am collecting every mask and trophy from every boss. One thing though, I recommend the pc or console versions as they have way more and way better content like moon lord
