Love the app when it works, but they really need to fix this bluetooth issue. If i open this app up, and it stays on in the background. It starts to disconnect my pairing. I only found out this issue after months of trying to figure the issue out, and noticing it happend when I used the app that day. I came here and noticed alot of people were having the same issues. Fix it, and fix it quick.
Like many recent reviews, this app keeps turning off my Bluetooth for no reason. I'll be driving down the highway talking on my phone and bluetooth gets turned off. This is dangerous and seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen! There is nowhere to grant or deny the app access to Bluetooth. There have been several complaints about this but Home Depot doesn't seem to care.
Soooooooooo ungraceful in the way it handles logins. When the login times out, getting signed back in is a PAIN. I like 2FA, but I go to get the SMS code and go back to the HD app and half the time it switches back to the home screen and I have to start over. Best thing by FAR is the built-in military discount program with a barcode that changes to prevent people from abusing it. Thanks for offering a veteran discount, and thanks for PROTECTING IT.
Love home Depot bu the app not so much it's Slow like dial up slow don't dare click a button more than once or you'll never get out of the loop of insanity( despite a newer device and strong connection) lots of technical issues. search function is completely useless sometimes shows me results for random items that have no relation to the search term used. and sometimes opens a random product page rather than a list of search results( again with no relationship to what was actually searched for)
Why is the Home Depot app turning off Bluetooth on my phone? I never gave the app that permission and it is inappropriate. I used the app to notify HD that I had arrived for curbside delivery. When the app turned off Bluetooth I was locked out of my car and could not open my trunk because my car depends on Bluetooth for security. Took me awhile to figure out what had happened and correct it.
Every other time I go to use the app and click on certain categories (like tool chest combos for example) I'll get a notification that says "no products found". It's extremely annoying. I have to force close the app, wait a few minutes and try again. I even have to uninstall and download again sometimes to get it to work.
This app is terrible. It does not make it easy to order. It constantly rejects my credit card information, which I've double checked is accurate. And this is the same credit card I use all the time in the store. It takes forever for the items to update in your cart. It's hard to navigate because it lags so much. This is just a hard app to use and I would not recommend it.
App continually says it cannot connect, or check your WiFi connection (no service). Can't tell If it's always the app or if the store itself is causing a deteriorated signal due to the materials used in it's construction. I have a hard time getting want signal in the store or, even when signed into their wifi. But the app has issues with connectivity even at home where I have a great connecting and high speed internet. HD needs to rethink the wifi they offer customers for a better connection.
App works well. However it will randomly turn off my bluetooth, for no apparent reason. There isn't a permission to bluetooth that I can deny. So I have to close the app and turn my bluetooth back on. Gets annoying having to do this multiple times a day.
This app has so many technical issues you can't even use it. I can't tell you the number of times I've been in the checkout and couldn't pull up my pro number or military ID barcode. You can't click on items you would like to view without getting error messages. It's such hot garbage, the only reason it's not a 1 star is because the workers usually discount my purchases more than the standard 10% for the hassle.
March 01, 22 update was horrible. Only way you can shop is buy using the search bar and searching for a specific item. If you try to drill down by category, when you tap on the category container, it always says, No Products to display. Several additional bugs too. Always shows I have 3 items in my shopping basket but when you click on basket, it's empty. Dumping cache and forcing app to stop, no effect.
Updated. App broken. Slower. Can no longer bring up shopping list in store. This app is trash why do I developers have to ruin something that's working now I can't even use it to shop. Menards app works. Slow and clunky. App allows me to turn off features that are annoying or a little used to me like AD notifications. Also turned off voice search, as keyboard has goodr voice to text entry. Really like that both web and app allow me to locate items in store.
Used to be a great app. Now half the time a simple search - like toilet- says no results. Or clicking on my order link from an email opens app but says can't open order. If i go to the mobile browser version it works fine. Been like this for a few months now. Thought by now they would have fixed. Also frequently when scanning item while in the store says can't find the product.
App was great, but recently the app never shows results for any products, which makes the app completely useless. While trying to find anything, there is an error message that says no products to show. Occasionally it will work for a few minutes, but then back to nothing.
Never availlible when you need it. Everytine I try to use the App at the store it requires me to use two-step verification. I might as well carry my iPad around instead of my phone. Lowes app/method is much better and reliable. While I have been shopping at HD more for projects, this app makes me want to travel a little further to Lowes if I find myself needing to use to app to find products in the store or use discount code.
Can't log into app since 5/4 update. Log in info is requested and entered but it stays on the password screen after entering and proceeds as if you have no account. Can't access my lists or other stored info on the HD app. What I've discovered is that when you hit log in for your standard HD account, it automatically attempts log in to the ProXtra acess HD system. From there it's all down hill. We're middle of a project and are having to switch suppliers because of this.
It amazes me that a company as large as Home Depot cannot produce a reliable app. Your overall design is great, but it's all a show because the overall functionality built into each link or button produces error messages. Please hire more software engineers for your digital team or prioritize your user stories a bit better. Awful app!
Terrible way to make a payment, every time I input my username and password, then I hit sign on, it loads for about 10 seconds and says successfully signed off. It takes about 3 tries to actually get into it. Once you're in the app, it is very slow and has to take its time to load some of the most basic features. I can't believe one of the richest companies can't make a decent app.
I love having the app but it is very hard to navigate and choose your sorting filter product Etc it just doesn't gel easily such as if you're searching for bedding and you want to make it the certain size Etc it's hard to get to that section I wish you would make it easier to find exactly what you're looking for but your search engines dictionary of words seems to be very limited and doesn't find the search sections the person is looking for. I hope I'm making more sense than your site does.
I don't give it 5 stars because the app has had problems for a while to watch the videos. I use different media players and most of the videos cannot be viewed. Apart from that the application works very well and in most cases the inventory quantity of the items is up to date.
This is, by far, the worst app I have installed. I have given thousands and thousands of dollars of business to Lowes because this app has either locked me out of my account, told me common items (like 2x4's) are not carried in any of their stores, won't let me add payment method (HD credit), won't let me finish checking out, or won't honor the delivery advertised. I don't even know who to contact about this because it seems HD as a whole doesn't care
Terrible for Bluetooth connections to other devices! This app will shut off your connection to your Bluetooth devices at completely meaningless and very inconvenient moments. It doesn't matter if you're listening to music or a book. Doesn't matter if you're driving out of a parking lot. Doesn't matter if you're standing in your garage at your house. Phones have no permissions to turn off this apps ability to disconnect Bluetooth devices.
