Tip Yourself - Save Money, Get Motivated

This app really does help save money! I log in each pay week and just add a little something. With preset options or the ability to customize the amount, it's easy to tap a couple buttons and know you've accomplished a goal! Negatives would be that it does kick you out and will occasionally crash. Otherwise I really enjoy it!

Solid app.... but. This app has a massive downside. The money you "tip yourself" has the same nominal value when you withdraw it. If you tip yourself 2k within a year, well, that $2,000 is worth about 1900 dollars. But users of this app (myself included) have little interest in long term. Another example, most people chose exemptions on their w2s, because that's interest you are losing. So it's another impulsivity. BUT, it does work and it's great in a bind. Easy to use and calibrate.

I already have a Banking app, I don't need one to tell me my balance and how I'm spending money. I don't need an app payday advances. What a stupid sell out! I paid premium for a year of service, guess that is out the window. Earning app looks worthless for me. I just want an easy way to save money in multiple separated accounts. That's It! Make it easy to save and nothing to encourage bag habits. Time to hunt for a new tip yourself.

Nice. Takes awhile for the micro transactions to come through. Had problems logging in for a moment, but that cleared up once my internet connection was restored. Happy this is free. Overall pretty good app. So far; trusted. Edit: still a good app, keeping the 3 stars. But I am having 1 problem. 1 of my tip jars started acting up. I had to cancel the pending transfer for $1; I pressed withdraw, jar tipped upside down, & got stuck. Transfer went through, now idk where my money is. Please fix..

I have never been able to save money since childhood. This app totally transformed that. I saved 100s in weeks. The small tips add up, & you dont realize it. It makes it easy to save, & fun. You tip yourself for what you think you deserve a tip for. It can be small or large. It becomes addicting when you see the numbers rise. The pro option is great with auto withdraw and hidden total. The auto deducts weekly forcing you to save. The hidden hides the total saved to not tempt you. overall A+++

The only way I find to put a little money away is here. It takes a few days to get it back into my bank account so I often say forget it I will get a paycheck by then. I also like reading the reasons other people have tipped themselves too. I have multiple tip jars, one automated one because I chose it that way and I change the amount everyweek to reflect what I want to save. This way I have to save something even if it's only $1. A great app that has real world use!

Can't verify my account, so I haven't have been able to really use it. Verification screen crashes every time I try to enter the microdeposit amounts. Hopefully this can be fixed, and then I'll be happy to update the review. otherwise, it looks great. Crossing fingers.

It's a great motivator to watch your tip jar grow with each tip. It makes you want to save more. You can set a goal for several tip jars at once, and tip each jar according to priority...or you can simply keep it at one jar. When you are ready to make a withdrawal, although it can take up to 3 business days to process, the funds go right back into the bank you use to make your tips deposits from. Ease of use: ☆☆☆☆☆

Well, I fell for it. I thought for a while that a good app run by someone who actually cared about helping people save money existed in tip yourself, and I loved it. It was helping me save in ways that no other app or service had before. It had no other frills or tempting distractions that would tempt me to spend money. I should have known it was too good to be true. The developer has sold out to an app that encourages irresponsible financial behavior in it's customers: the earn in app quite literally encourages you to spend your paycheck before you have it! And that is only one among many downsides the earn in app has. So in other words, this developer took what was absolutely not broken, and decided to fix it in order to make money. I loved this app previously, and am disappointed to see it disappear. This company has stabbed its customer base square in the back, and they lost this formerly very happy customer permanently.

I downloaded this app weeks ago and entered my banking info. Since that time, i have been unable to log in, so i have been unable to use the app. I contacted cuatomer service about the issue with no results. My last 2 inquiries to them have been ignored. Now they have all my banking info and i cant even use the app. Very disappointed.

Was a perfect app for saving money that was simple and easy to use but they will be shutting down operations by the end of June 2020. They were bought by Earnin which is an app that I have no interest in. Sad to see Tip Yourself go. It was so useful...

NEED TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS!! takes FAR too long to transfer back and forth and it's RIDICULOUS! other apps are instant, this can be too! Uninstalling and using an instant app, this is absolutely insane.

I am so incredibly sad that this app is going away. I have looked over the Earnin app and it looks awful and I have no interest in using it. I loved this app and used it for so many things and I am very disappointed that i won't have this app to help motivate me anymore. I hope you will listen to these reviews and hopefully reverse your decision to combine with Earnin.

This app is such a great way to save money without really thinking about it! I've been using it about 4 months and saved almost $300! Going om vacation next week and am so glad to havr a little spending money!

every time I click on terms of services it doesnt take me anywhere but to the main page or another random page in the app. this is somewhat concerning as I prefer to read the fine print.

A good app that reminds you and helps you to save, but you don't earn any interest on what you deposit, they probably do. Your money is best kept where you can let it compound interest, no matter how little the amount.

an easy way to save extra on payday! only downside is the length of time to withdrawal funds, but that just keeps me more accountable of my money. over all, love the app! yay for tipping myself!

I love this app, I tip myself everyday sometimes twice or even thrice! The best part about this app is it's absolutely free to use! The upgrade options provide additional jars which be useful when you want to organize your tips better. Love the app, five stars guys, you earned it!

I was loving this app but I got my account on hold because of too many micro deposits fail attempts and the support team is just telling me to un install and reinstall the app, which isn't working. I might end up deleting it....

Love it! Makes saving money feel exciting, with the saving challenge. Also can create a tip jar with the $ amount hidden so you can surpy yourself at the end to see how much you saved

i love this app and i have tried several financial saving apps but this one let's you save the amount you choose to put away at the time. i completely forgot that i had put money away and was low on funds and i has 250 dollars saved that i had forgotten about. completely saved me from being broke

Love love this app! I used to try to save with cash but would always end up spending it...and this way I can save a bit every day! I even forgot about this saving for a while and then opened it and had a nice surprise money ☺️🤗🤑 Exactly what i was looking for !

i love it. it is an easy way to save money and since there is a lag time on transferring back into the bank, it deters one from spending it!

great app for saving for a goal. Interface could maybe be slicker, but thos totally accomplishes its goal: helping you save!

The app kept stopping when I tried to go into my Gallery and get a picture of myself from a folder. When I hit the circle to add a pic, it would only pull up the last 12 or so pictures I took, so I picked my niece at graduation.

Tip gives me a way to look forward and plan for my goals and time with family!!! I have a sense of accomplishment when I look at the posted sums in the "jars." When I decide on making a transfer back to my account it is so satisfying to see the result of saving with Tip.

I put$ in and when the time came to take it out, I had no problems. It was fast and easy. I am re-saving again and using this app again to hit my goal.

Ok. So your combining with earnin. Well i looked them over and see nothing to be excited about and a lot of concern. Basically your good working app is going to be useless. Your facebook group for questions is not actually yours, its a fan group. And there is no info on if the new app will have anything like the functionality i have come to expect. Unfortunatly there are no other apps that appear to work even close to like this one. So..back to hiding money in the matress.

Update 3/03/2020: I had to contact customer service several times to find out why my money from my closer account wasn't transferred. Also my paper check from an earlier withdrawal. After the 3rd time (yesterday) I got it today electronically.

i really like this app it make saving fun qmd convenient. i do wish there waa some widget to qdd tip jars, i cant find anything anywhere to add jars. this app has so much potential and things it could do. im still using it but i have some great ideas who could i email this to?
