Toon Blast

Used to be fun. If you are lucky you might be able to beat multiple levels in a day, but now it has been programmed to where you don't get possible matches often enough to beat a level without boosters or using coins for extra chances/lives. My team is usually in the top 3 for team challenges, all experienced players, and now all of us are getting stuck on levels, sometimes for 3 or 4 days on a single level, and that is ridiculous.

I initially gave this game five stars but recently I haven't been enjoying it as much. I'm tired of constantly having to update it to get new levels. Another thing is that the difficulty has gone up, which I initially enjoyed, but some levels are hard to a point where it becomes annoying because you can't pass for some time and the rewards have lessened and aren't worth the challenges you have to pass

If i could give it zero stars i would. The game is terribly rigged. The minute you get boosters like double the stars etc. You stop being able to pass levels. The minute the timer on the booster runs out or you get tired of playing and come back to the game after a while all of a sudden you can pass the levels. I once went a whole entire hour because of the free hour booster and didn't win not one level.

I love this game. However, there's times that it takes 2 days and alot of cash to clear a board. Once you're stuck it screws up your team play and rewards. I think it's designed exactly that way. No fair. Also it would be nice if my boosters were available during game play. All of them. And choice where to place them. It always drops somewhere that screws up my doubles. I can't always afford to buy stuff to win. And from the team prospect I'm not helping if I'm frozen for two days.

Initially i rated this game 5 stars but i changed my rating because Wow! You can spend an entire long weekend stuck on 1 level - missing only by 1 move. It's so frustrating but surprisingly you still continue playing. I just HATE how the arrows do not pop the bubbles and then you end up losing the level. So annoying lately. Changes mean less rewards to earn, more to buy!! Within the game it's frustrating!! Boosters are inevitably put where they hinder not help. Some levels are almost impossible because of the way the cubes fall. And suddenly it's easy.. after the competition has finished?!! Also people coming from nowhere and suddenly going to top of leader board !! And now these stickers!! They are seriously making my eyes hurt, bouncing around the screen! May have to stop playing!😞

Hi. I originally stopped playing this game because it became too challenging to beat levels in a timely manner. I re-download and got past level 800. It's become tedious again, with some levels being way easier to beat than others. I like the new updates, but I don't want to do the same level 10 times. Still 3 stars.

Have to admit with reviewers with all the issues. BEWARE when you get the free 15 or 30 minutes because even if you DIDN'T tap to claim (thinking you can play it later for whatever reason) it'll be GONE! Was told it'll start counting down all the same...unlike Candy Crush, it stays until you physically tap the screen. Alot of levels are becoming VERY frustrating 😡 4 stars to 2!

I agree with other posters. Level of difficulty has increased greatly. Developers say they can be done in one try and they can, but often seems like a fluke once you've wasted 3 days and 30 tries on a level. Paper airplanes showed up for a time as a reward, but that was months ago. I will not purchase coins and am getting more irritated at the difficulty. A challenge is fine, but this is getting ridiculous.

UPDATE: I'm changing my review from 5 to 2 stars. I really dislike a lot of the recent format changes. The prizes for the tournaments have been reduced, level difficulty has increased and there is a constant bombardment of purchasing options. The game just isn't as fun now that many levels require coins and boosters. _ _ _ _ _ _ Love that this game is completely playable with no ads or required purchases.

Played this game for years and I'm able to complete levels without having to purchase anything. But I can now say the game is rigged. I wish I had my screen recorder on because it just didn't make sense. I had one bubble left to pop and 3 more moves. I decided to combine a disco ball and rocket. I had enough colours around the bubble that I knew it would be popped by at least 3 rockets. The rockets went through the bubble but never popped it. The algorithm picks and chooses when you can win.

I used to love this game. Now, I no longer find it as much fun to play. The folks who bought this game have changed to fewer rewards that help folks make it pass the brutal levels. It is clear they are changing it to get folks to buy more bundles, passes, coins etc. When many experienced players are getting stuck on some levels for over a day and lots of lives used, you know the odds are not working. On the tough brutal levels, the odds are favoring the house too much it seems to me.

Used to love it. Not any more. This was my go-to game. I liked everything about it. Now it's junked up with "stickers" on the blocks. This might not sound like a big deal, but if you like a neat and clean user experience, these little stickers add clutter and distraction. I'm done until stickers are gone. The world has enough distraction. I go to games for relaxation, not even more distraction.

Despite its obvious use of addiction theory to make you WANT to keep playing, I used to love this game. Now, with the new "rewards" system, it feels like it forces you to keep playing. Unlimited play rewards would be great if I had a choice about when I could use them. Additionally, I'm frustrated with all of the extra ads that come as a function of how the rewards are now provided, and frankly, I miss the coins. The game play is still the same(ish).

This is an extremely fun puzzle game. It's not a match three game which if you're like me you're tired of. It does require you to match colors. But it doesn't matter how many order they are. It has a lot of fun little mechanics and cleverly designed puzzle boards. The only downside is that the app is always trying to sell you some stupid power up and constantly interfering with accessing the next level by throwing all these screens in front of you I'm trying to get you to buy stuff.

Great Game! This is the first game that has truly kept my interest and I've played a lot of games. The levels of difficulty are not too high where you have to constantly pay for add ons but just high enough to challenge you to work to pass the levels. There is also the team element to the game too which is great! 5/5 highly recommend.

Took away the last incentive to play. No longer get coins to buy helpful gadgets. Just get more free time to play. I have a job and a life. I don't need a bunch of free lives to play more. I used the little gadgets to get past harder levels. Must be some way to get more money from people. No longer fun. Update: has gotten better since the last few updates. Thx

The come-on in their ad shows a bear that is in danger, and by matching blocks of the same color, the player can save the bear. I'm past level 11. And ,"WHERE IS THE BEAR!!!??????" Shortly, I'm going to delete this game because it's not what it purports. Makes me think the owners of the game are up to something sneaky, with my contacts, and info, when I downloaded this game........I should give it a zero for misrepresentation.

7/26/21 update: I would still make one change... add a confirmation BEFORE using 100 coins for 5 more moves. I can't tell you how many times I've accidentally hit the big button and wasted 100 coins. I was initially annoyed with changes, particularly cutting the tournament reward. But I've noticed now that, even at a high level, I'm able to earn enough boosters/coins to keep going if used sparingly. And I do wish that removal from a team wasn't permanent. Still my favorite game!

From 5 back down to 3-Love the game, but the levels sometimes get quite difficult to pass. The rewards are less and there's constant package popups. They've changed the packages, it's more expensive for less coins. This game is challenging but still entertaining..especially when part of a team, however, it's getting annoying lately

Wouldn't let me transfer my progress when I changed devices even though my account was already linked. I was rather upset. Having to start over from 1 when I was nearing level 2000! Edit: still the same issue, nothing has been fixed after almost 2 years. Changed devices after reaching 5810 and now I'm having to start over AND change teams since my team is too full. :-( not happy!

Good game, very addictive. The main drawback is that you can't control when you start your unlimited time - it just starts automatically as soon as you win it. Which is very frustrating since I would prefer to save the time for when I can enjoy the game, instead of needing to waste the free time

Like many games out there, you match the same color blocks to clear a level. To make things more interesting, you can join a team. Your teammates will be able to give you lives and, if you're lucky, if your team wins a weekly tournament, you can win up to 500 coins per tourney. The major problem I have -- and many others can attest to this -- I believe the game makers have devised algorithms to prevent you from clearing levels, ask but forcing you to spend money. PLAYER BEWARE!

I'm really enjoyng this game, I was getting so fed up with complicated games that practically forced me to spend money to advace. I love the simplicity ofToon Blast, it's so colourful and the boosters are free! If you're looking for a game that's easy to learn, progresses quickly and yet gives your brain a break from strategy and complicated plots; you have found the perfect game right here!

Every time I have to update the app it keeps coming up with "update your game to play more levels", even though I've done it. With each new update the game gets worse and new levels don't come out fast enough. I've been playing Toon Blast for years and it's not how it used to be unfortunately. **update** Still doing that and now talk about jacking up the price for coins! 😳

Decent game, annoying attempts to upsell. To those complaining about it and increasing difficulty of levels, a) its a free game, and b) that's what is supposed to happen. I'd recommend it to others. Good way to kill some time. Also, please enable more characters for writing reviews, I don't want to sound like an idiot to get my point across. Thanks.

I don't understand how this game has such a high rating after seeing so many negative reviews. Very sus. It's a total money grab. You can tell when the game decides you've played enough for the day without spending money, because the levels suddenly get impossible to beat. Until you either pay them or wait a few days that is. Then suddenly you beat a round first try. Again extremely sus. It's nice there's no ads tho. Just constant spamming to purchase things. Overall I would not reccommend.
