TroveSkin: Your Skincare Coach

It took me awhile to get the hang of this app but it's super useful now. Of all the skincare apps I have tried, this one definitely has the most products listed when you search, especially if you use mostly Korean skincare products like I do. I love being able to customize my own routine and when my skin turns out feeling super amazing it's nice to have whatever order I went with to look back on. I don't have the patience to write it all down or remember. A community forum would make it perfect.

Free version is absolutely useless now. Skin analysis was never a great feature for me, so my main goal with this app was to compare photos myself to see how my skin is doing. Came back to the app after not using it for a while and now I can't even look at my photos from before because they are behind a paywall. Had to pay for one month to get photos of MY OWN face back, which is a bit ridiculous in my opinion, won't be using the app after the payment expires.

It's the best of its kind, but the bar is low. The face scanner isn't great, but I've yet to see a good one tbh, and you can no longer access old logs (it's premium now). You used to be able to log individual product usage, if you deviated from a routine, but can't now. The selfies log vs analysis log..silly to have separated really.

I used to love the app, but now I can barely do anything without subscription. I don't want any analyses or help with anything, I just want to see my selfies from the past! Why do I need subscription for that? It's such an unfair method to force us to subscribe!

Editted review. Have been using this app since 2019. Very disappointed that this app has become more money oriented. Before you can view your selfie log from the very first time you took a selfie. In my case since 2 years ago and I can see how my skin improve and when i had break outs. Now you can only see up to the previous 7 days...which nothing much can be seen in 7 days.

I gave a 3 star rating long time ago, but deleted the comment and updated it to 5 star. The app quality has improved a lot! It gives really good insights about your skin and products that you use. Absolutely love the flexibility of the routines! I think in the compare your skin tab, you could add a button to take a selfie (took me a bit to find it). I also wish the camera was mirrored like instagram as it makes me look weird. Overall, I would recommend this app to a friend :)

This app is great, but it will be better if we can check how often we use a product, the day a product run out, and when it out, remove it from the routine or not, buy new one but still keep the old one, so we know which day we start the new one, and compare with the time we use the last one. The skin health function also needs to improve

I'm not a fan of the free tier. You can't see or compare your past photos in full view but only as a tiny thumbnail. It's extremely restrictive. Most features are locked behind a paywall. The old view of listed products made it easier to search through. Now if you added too many products, you would have to keep scrolling until you found the one you're looking for. The delete account button doesn't work either.

Hey guys, I have really been enjoying this app. I've had it for nearly a week now. An issue I have noticed is that after 4 products are added to my list: It will show broken image files. The listing itself is fine, it just doesn't save/remember the images. Otherwise, it's been really helping me build some good habits for skincare. I can't wait til my region (US) gets the "recommended products" section available!

I like that it can analyze your skin and show where improvements can be made, and which areas to focus on, BUT that's basically the only great thing about this app, because although you get points for the activities you complete, the rewards system does not work at all. There are never ANY rewards available. But it's still a good app to analyze your skin.

it's honestly not bad. the grammar and sentence structure of the articles sound as if the writer isn't as familiar with the English language as a native would be. now, I'm not judging or saying that's bad or anything, only that perhaps an app (such as grammarly) could be used to make the articles, blurbs, and instructions more concise and clear. other than grammar, great app. great concept, great execution, and I'm actually excited to see my progress as time rolls on. thank you!

glitchy and doesn't work very well edit: It doesn't acknowledge when I've already added a daily selfie, won't allow me to delete any of them once they're posted, constantly has the "complete skin log" option available and doesn't ever actually finish it when you tap it. Or at least, if it does, it doesn't say so. Also, it tells me I have excellent skin but also that I look 10 years older than I am. 🤔 I really like the idea of this app, it just seems a bit inaccurate.

I really do love this app. It makes it easy to see how even a single product change can affect my skin, or how my skin responds to a new product over time. The only things keeping this from a 5 star review is it seems incomplete (the points are currently worthless and there's no graph or anything like that to correlate to different products, plus the 'favorites' option doesn't seem completely functional) and the ONLY way to add new products or select products you are using is through pictures.

So far no rewards or products. While it is interesting to compare my skin and analyze it, I keep doing the challenges (which are repetitive) for seemingly no reason. Also, the articles are repetitive with bad editing, they relay very little useful information. The articles would be a cool feature if they were written better, more unique from each other, or relayed more interesting information. Overall, all this app does is analyze your selfies.

I've only been using this app for few days, but it's really good so far! It has a nice, simple design and is easy to use. The only problem I have is that the analysis feature isn't very accurate. It says I have no spots, and instead marks my acne as large pores. It might be because of my camera quality though, I'll try taking the photos in a different lighting and see if anything changes.

It's a very helpful app but there are quite a few bugs. One is that options and stuff don't save. I keep changing my skin goal to "Reduce Pores" but it keeps resetting to the default to reduce acne. Another problem is that it tells me im in the top 10% of my age group but there is no option to set my age. it says my skin age is 35 but I'm only 26! so top 10% does not seem correct at all!

Great app! Was a little skeptical at first but the initial analysis was almost near perfect. After taking the skin and routine quiz, it was pretty much spot on. I love that the recommendations of products are tailored to your skin type and they aren't all that expensive so you know they are pushing any one high priced product. Its definitely worth saying again- Great app! :)

I like the overall goal of this app. firstly one thing I'm not too happy with obviously is that it tells me I'm older then actually am which is odd seeing has everybody in real life thinks I am half a decade to decade younger than I actually am. it doesn't save my quizzes once I've completed them it keeps a lot of me to retake them over and over. I like that I can put all of my products in and see you when I started using them to see if it's does show improvement.

The scanner is just guessing. I didnt expect much from it, but when the scanner doesnt pick up the red blemishes as spots or picks up the eyebrows as wrinkles (when I deliberately furrowed my brow). Its a good tracker app for self guidance, but that's about it. I tried the scanner at least 15 times, different lighting conditions, facial expressions, plain Jane background. None of them made the scanner any more accurate.

I am only a few minutes into using this app. I usually don't review an app until I have had ample time to use its features, but to continue with the skincare test, it seems I have to rate the app, or it resets the test. I liked the skin analysis that I have experienced so far. You take a picture of your face and there are very clear instructions on how to get the best picture. Disappointed that it says skincare recommendations arent available in my country. (USA) Some of the quizzes dont work.
