TV Remote Control for Samsung

I don't usually write reviews... but when I do it's when something is exceptional. What can I say, it exactly mimics the traditional Samsung remote! Oh, and no nonsense "calibrating" or trying to hook it up with the TV through Bluetooth for 2 hours. I pressed "install" and was controlling the TV in less than 1 minute. Also, the ads are non-invasive and acceptable.

Happily frustrated with this app. I thought I had found the solution to my problem of not having a remote for my Samsung 32 inch. However, 2 frustrations arose... firstly tapping the volume button is quite tedious but I can live with that. Secondly, the enter button on the remote doesn't work, which is vital for its functionality. I cannot open files or select certain options without it. So unless this gets fixed, I cannot rate it higher than 3 stars. ALL the other buttons work, just not enter.

Good app but it takes a few seconds to load which is annoying if you need to use it quickly.

Good TV remote but can be much better. The hardware remote does its function well but to replicate it like for like on a software/app platform does not do the best justice. For example moving the pointer when Web browsing should be easier than on a hardware remote but it is actually more difficult. Also, there is a bit of lag in response so a button could be pressed more times than necessary if not used to the timing. It is nice for use out of familiarity.

The only problems are the ads. They are anoying.

This is infrared remote which means it can handle ON/OFF unlike other wifi based remotes. Suitable for samsung TVs which do not have a power button. Supports almost all remote functions including Smart Hub navigation. The biggest issue is that it prevents the auto screen lock to cycle through various ads and drains battery if you forget to close the app while watching tv. Apparently, the developers value their ad revenue more than you phone's battery.

This was a pleasant experience. The remote works perfectly with my LG TV and it's a really well done app. I'm at a loss for words because there a so many bad apps or apps that don't work and this has been perfect. I have an LG UK6750PLD

This would be useful if it wasn't for all the ads. Ads are played almost every time I use this thing. Having to wait for an ad to load before you can press a button makes it useless. Whilst i understand that the developer should recoup their development costs, the number of ads and the time to load adversely affects the utility of this app. Because of this, I cannot recommend it.

I'll have to downgrade to one star because everytime I open it, I get a LOADING window right in the middle of the screen that won't go away, probably the ads from what I read with other clients. Shame because this remote app was very useful. This gets back to its 5 stars if it can be fixed.

Very good. I was using another developers Samsung remote and that worked too, but the ad frequency increased to the point where it was unusable and there was no option to pay for ad free. Whereas this app works just as well and the ads are tolerable and do not interfere with app use. Many thanks!

This App never had ads in it before, it was free all the time I used it. I even think I paid to register it. Now with this new version I've got ads popping up all the time. I'm just about to remove it and find another application I can register to get rid of these damned blasted advertisements! ☆¿'#%¡*&☆%&$¿€%¡¥%#£% ads! .........................................................................

My remote broke a while back. Looked to replace that specific remote online, only to see the cost to be $80+. After tiring of constantly having to get up to switch through the source inputs manually, I downloaded this app. So far, it's been working like a charm. Thanks.

Fantastic... except that it won't turn the tv on if its been turned off. which is bad cause if you've lost your remote you won't be able to use the app .. (my tv is a strange one though as there is no button to turn it on manually..not that I've found anyway.. others tvs may be different...

This remote worked with little setup to contol my Samsung Smart TV with a Xiaomi Poco X3 mobile phone, and it looks just like the original remote that came with the TV. The only issue was that one of the bottoms did not work, but that was correctable thanks to the trouble shooting included with this remote.

The last update ruined the usability of what was a 4+ star app. Now the app sits and clocks and clocks. That's IT!!!!!!! AWESOME APP DEV RUINED IT by requiring an ad be downloaded BEFORE it ggives ANY FUNCTIONALITY to the people ad revenue depends on. So if you have spotty data service in your basement/home or mountain/ocean view condo this app is absolutely. useless-wasting space and energy. Now You MUST DOWNLOAD AN AD B4 what was a great simple app will give you a remote control keypad! Email the dev to change that to get an add after 5 min or so and timeout in 5 seconds or less. Then maybe this app will return to glory.

Works. Crapily. When the volume blasts on the tv and you're trying to quickly turn it down, this thing needs to load an ad. Which takes about 15 to 30 seconds so everyone in your house will be awake by the time you can use it. Get a replacement remote on amazon for $10. Seriously, why does everthing have to be ruined with ads?

Thanks very much to the developer for this excellent app. It is compatible with my xiaomi redmi android phone. It works for my old samsung LCD tv perfectly. There are only occasional ads which are ok as they do not appear every time when the app is activated =)

Too many ads, won't even work w/o ads. Used to be a good app but now it is so desperate to load you a 5 second video app it won't even work if you're not connected to the Internet. It will just keep loading forever bc it demands these ads. uninstalled.

Bought a display tv and saw it was in retail mode. :/ I didnt want the retail menu stuff popping up while using the tv. This app let me access all menu settings just like a real remote. Perfect app for a Samsung tv after 2006.

Incredibly easy to use. I'm in the hospital Instantly connected to the hospital's as easily as my home. Each time it was as simple as opening the app. No paring necessary! Excellent work, Backlash team!

Only remote that actually works for the my smart tv. I lost the remote and all the other apps have that 'one time connection' bs but don't realize ppl use those apps when they lose their remote. Great job!

This app works perfect. My wife is always having problems with something related to the menu and the universal remote will not bring up the menu. So Thank You for creating this app.

Best working remote for Samsung TV

Works perfect for everything, except for the 1 thing I installed it for: The source button and power button dont seem to work. All the other buttons seem to work fine.

The app works well at first, but the screen rotation stops working after so long and the app fails to load at some point after that. This is my third time installing it.

Loads an ad every time I open it, sometimes takes 3 minutes. That's a lot of hassle to adjust the volume. Aside from that it works perfectly.

Excellent, except... A paid for version needs to exist to eliminate ads. How about $1.49? I would gladly pay that. (The ads ARE high quality, and they don't pop up all the time.)

Straight forward. Worked as soon as I downloaded it. No trying to pair or any other garbage. An app that does what it should and doesn't have obtrusive ads. Will recommend to others.

Works great with Smart TV. I use the Wi-Fi version on my main phone...so it was a no brainer to use the IR version Hope this app works in the future as TVs change.
