Please remove superfluous features and make essential features work correctly. This app is really sloppily crafted. E.g. during check-in a dialog appeared and asked me to choose my travel documents... between two blank options. Pretty amusing. Happily, it wasn't an emergency, this wouldn't have been so amusing if it had been...

Gotta say, I absolutely love the feature that allows you to pin your mobile boarding pass to your homescreen! I'm leaving a review just because this is such an awesome and helpful feature! You just tap the hovering pin, and it pulls up your boarding pass instantly. So much easier than trying to juggle with an app to load your boarding pass.

I had booked a flight. it did not show up on my united app, so I thought it didn't go through so I booked my flight again. it was a fiasco booking this flight as it kept looping back to finish booking. I ended up with 4 bookings. I was able to cancel them, but I'm still being charged for two flights. now I added a checked bag, which was supposed to be cheaper if I did so prior to arriving at the airport. no deal. I'm supposed to get free checked bags with my credit card. not happening.

Had to rescan documents multiple times. Had trouble getting boarding passes. Had to text through the app for an hour before they would rectify problems with my boarding pass. They just told me to check in through the terminal at the airport. They only helped me after I demanded a boarding pass that day. It is impossible to tell how long the chat queue is. They did eventually get my boarding pass to show up on the app, but they provided no way for me to print it off earlier.

App needs tons of improvement. Password and info was set up,but when you try and sign in, it doesn't recognize password or information. No miles saved, nothing saved. Basically have to register everything over again. So no reason to set up account, unless u like filling out account info for fun. Sure it gives u bording pass info, which is why I gave it 2 stars. Otherwise pointless to set up. Waste of time. Good luck everyone else.

This is the first review I've ever left and I saved it for a good occasion. The check-in process at UA is painful and full of hoops to jump through. I shouldn't be forced to download an app for something that can be done 98% online and the app is slow and painful. I'm incredibly unimpressed by how painful this is and how many times I have to re-enter information and how incredibly not intuitive. If I could leave 0 stars I would in a heartbeat.

When trying to plan/ purchsde travel, app will not recognize filters. - Fails to keep "Refundable" setting ON during one single/ entire booking session/ flight search. - Fails to exclude "Nearby (destination) Airports" for one single/ entire booking session/ flight search, even thought I have de-selected those Nearby Airports in Filters & clicked "Save". Very, very frustrating & a HUGE waste of my time!!

Awkward User Interface/Experience. Does not work when my VPN is running - claims it is not connected to the internet. When I am logged in, it should automatically attach my Loyalty Number when I add a trip instead of making it several extra steps. Though I think the most recent update did make that slightly easier. There are just an unnecessary amount of sub menus.

I add to re-enter information probably 5 or 6 times. App doesn't save things like my covid documentation, the US address where I'm staying, my declarations, so I had to re-enter over and over. App works a bit better than doing it on desktop but overall disappointing and frustrating experience.

As we were boarding the plane we were told to download the app and save our credit card information in order to buy food and drinks on board. Turns out, instructions were wrong, and I gave the app all my information for nothing. Couldn't buy a single thing on the plane. Make a better app. Give better directions. Come up with solutions before problems arise. Be decent. Please.

Not the most user friendly app to navigate compared to Delta. United likely won't read this, but they really should make it easier to view boarding pass of connecting flights, such that if you open your boarding pass within the app, you can swipe to see your second boarding pass.

It is a slow app, and has a clunky UI. I would recommend simplifying the UI. Also they had a great feature, they had a widget that was 2x2 that had a count down clock on it for your next flight. And now they removed it with the latest update, they do have a 2x4 size countdown widget but it is huge! I would give this app 4 stars if they put the smaller widget back in. Thank you

Good so, but the structure is a bit convoluted. The organization of it all is a bit forked and you can't always find what you're looking for where you expect to find it. The game center is a nice addition. It needs a lot of work, though. I'd be happy to send screenshots of spelling errors and issues with buttons that aren't labeled.

This app really makes me crazy. It is unable to link my upcoming flights to my account, and consistently shows no upcoming or past flights even though I am logged in, nor does it allow me to add any. For baggage, it redirects me to their equally useless website, so what exactly is the point of this? If the purpose of the app is to put me off of ever wanting to fly United again, then mission accomplished.

we are traveling to Scotland & have found that we have to have a COVID test the day before return to the USA. however, it has been next to impossible to locate a place in, or within 100 miles of where we will be staying, & United airlines has been less than helpful with this problem! the only thing United did was take too much off our time, waiting on hold, & after a 30 min phone call, were not helping at all!

this was a terrible experience trying to get checked-in. I try to be objective, but you all seriously need Branch.io to help you with deep linking and user context. I was asked for my email multiple times, my phone number multiple times and had to verify my device with the app after I signed up even after I was asked like 6 verification questions from the same device during the sign up process! If it wasn't for the email to check-in not working also, I would have never completed this process!

Not optimized for Galaxy Fold 3. I can not upload documents to fly internationally from the app, which is actually causing a big problem. It also will not let me choose which vaccination I've been administered from the drop down menu. Please fix asap.

The only real use is for checking in and viewing the boarding pass. Checking in has to be done multiple times to work. The boarding pass isn't available, regardless of you are a premier member.

The app is really smoothly designed. However, their bag policy is misrepresented in the app. It doesn't mention the basic economy exception for trans-atlantic or trans-pacific flight. This may encourage people to check their carry-on unnecessarily.

We had unacceptable "service" once we landed. we traveled with 2 kids, 6 months and 3 years old. one of the car seats was stuck on the carousel and the other was out of the bag and a belt had fallen off. We could not get anyone to help us. The one girl at the United desk was too busy to call for maintenance to help us get the car seat off the carousel. my daughter had to stand there and move all the luggage as it came around. so it would not break the stuck car seat. Not just one flight, but 3!!

The UX designers at United need to find a new hobby. It's embarrassing. But it's not just them, so much of United's tech is broken. Several years ago they let you have a password longer than 32 characters, and their API will let you use it. However their mobile app checks password length on the front end and then tells you that you can't log in 🤡

Update 2: they fixed the map bug. Update: how in the world does the airport maps not work on the app. Why text me to check out my route if it never loads.... What a bug to have then to emphasize it over every time you connect a flight using a text message They have come a long way in developing multiple iterations of the application. It comes to show how the involvement multiple teams can help progress the airline application and the consumer

Seems fairly good, But after they asked me for my credit card information so I can buy drinks contact list on the plane, I entered in all the information they required. Continuing on with checking-in online, I had to pay the fee for baggage. They then asked me for all the credit card information again. Pretty idiotic. Not a huge deal, but pretty idiotic. Maybe I missed something, but I shouldn't have to look for it.
