Universal TV Remote

Works great with phones that have an IR blaster still. Works great on my Galaxy S5, though one of the buttons on the remote for the Toshiba TV doesn't work, but all other buttons work. App works offline and it's really simple. The details Samsung remote app (Peel Remote) no longer works as it was never an offline app to begin with (plus that app was full of unnecessary bloat). So this is the next best alternative source for an IR blaster app.

Great little IR remote control app if you are lucky enough to have a phone with an IR blaster. A very non-intrusive app with a tiny add banner at the bottom of the screen. I could easily turn my Sony TV on & off & change the volume. I could also access the Menu function. I was too lazy to try to program the remote for my cable box. I do wish there was an input toggle button. That is my only complaint.

Do you want a bare-bones tv remote that doesn't spam you with full-screen ads? Then oh boy do I have an app for you! Also - though this app's TV and Cable box selection may be limited, there's enough overlap between different brands' IR codes to allow you to use the remote with most TV'S and boxes, even if you are technically using the "wrong" preset. Just play around with the name brands, you're bound to find one that works.

It didn't find my exact TV and cable box models, but out of several apps I tried, it had the best alternative that would work. The nice things about this app compared to others are, no intrusive ads, the ability to save more than 1 device, the ability to edit the buttons, and the speed that the device loads.

I can't get all the buttons working but It's only missing two that were just short cuts to things I don't access often and I can get to through the menu. So far this is the best remote app I've found because of how customizable it is and it doesn't constantly have ads popping up. I just wish you could pay and get a no ad version.

It's definitely saving me right now. It wasn't as plug and play to set it for my tv as the Anymote one once did, but after a little manual editing in the buttons it's working well. Thanks.

This app is the third one I've tried it was all good until I was watching YouTube videos on my smart TV. I noticed for some reason I couldn't use up or down on the remote. Other than that it seems to work fine.

Works well. My tablet is now my remote and takes the place of four physical devices. The tablet is an alcatel, so it may be the problem... The whole setup works 80% of the time, may be a hardware or software issue but it's pretty good and it keeps my coffee table uncluttered.

Okay- I only needed the Universal Remote for sound control. My sound bottom on my LG TV does not work, This app was very simple. You have to press and hold the correct volume icon for more or less sound.. It works great now I can now control the sound, it was very easy to install. It's picked up my TV set on the first try.

The setup is like the dev never tested it. Seems like it could be useful but you were required to make a new remote and given cryptic codes that you somehow need to know. No ability to try and make sure that it worked before setup wascompleted. After I exausted the 4 codes that were available, there was no indication of how I could try something else. Needs to be rethought.

I love this app in comparison to Peel Remote. Peel would slow down my phone, have ads pop up when I wasn't using the app, and take about a minute sometimes to even load the remote. This one has none of those problems.

tHANK yOU for making a useable, simple, perfect app!!!! works perfectly on my Android Note 4 and my Samsung TV. I love that the ads are small and at the bottom of the screen. I uninstalled the PEEL Remote app because of the anoying ads. Kudos to you!!!!!!!!!

Makes my Hitachi TV work since I don't have the remote. 4 stars since I can only use it to stream from PC and not for OTA viewing. (can't access the special menu to scan for channels) Works better with vibrate on key press turned off.

Worked perfectly on initial setup. Very good customization and no ads so far. Opens quickly and goes straight to the remote. Has all the menu buttons and stuff I wanted. The exact simple kind of remote app I've been looking for, that actually works, without ads. Good stuff.

Very good app, even for custom remotes that are not included on the list!! It's nice to see the option to share remotes, but I cannot find the option to import it back... :(

Has a huge list of remotes, extremely customizable. You can pick and choose different buttons from all your remotes to make a single universal remote with all the most used buttons for all your devices. This app has features i never even knew i wanted.

Great little app. Simple user interface with lots of supported models, and not attacked by ads every 5 seconds like other apps. I can finally control my AV Reciever I got used from across the room! 100% would recommend this app if your phone has an ir blaster. (using HTC One M8)

This app is so easy to use and set up. Library full of remotes pre made or you can make and program your own! Worked the very first time with both my sony tvs . Cant wait to see what else its good for!

hands down, best remote so far! very simple remote nothing fancy, easy to set-up and easy to use. no annoying ads popping up everywhere. highly recommended!

Power button broke on mine so that's all I need this for but the power and volume works great. Haven't noticed any adds yet but I leave the app as soon as tv is on soooo. Anywho it works great for what I need!

I would love to give this app 5 stars but it didn't have anything for Dynex brand tv. I know it's odd but not first one I've seen. But app works perfect on every other tv & dvd players I have.

Volume control could be made better by holding the button, not just one step at a time. There should be function for switching between TV and HDMI.

Tried several different apps, this is the only one that supported both my 11 yr old Sanyo TV and 17 yr old RCA stereo receiver. It's also worth noting my Android device is a Samsung Galaxy Note 3. So a big thanks for making all my old mismatched junk work together! Great start to a top-tier app!

Works great. My AV unit wasn't pre programmed but with the learning feature I was able to build it. Unlike another remote app that will remain nameless, ads here are tastefully unobtrusive. 👍

This app is the best one out there... Would have rated 5 stat if it would work with my Sherwood audio receiver :-/ and also had led it control... But don't waist your time with others... This is the one that lives on my pbone. Simple and minimulist design.

Real, simple and doesn't fill your phone up with disruptive pop-up ads! This is the easiest and the best IR remote app I've had ever used and/or set-up.
