Upside Gas - Best gas deals

App started out great. Lately every purchase I have takes longer to finalize, if at all. Seems like more and more the transaction can't be found which I find hard to believe due to the fact that the transactions hit my credit card just fine. Seems like this has definitely gotten worse since the last update. May just switch to another companies app for the discounts they offer.

Overall a good app. The amount you get cash back changes, so don't be surprised if you see a penny back per gallon one day. It does go back up. The highest I see is maybe 15 cents or so. It averages around 8 or 10 cents a gallon. It adds up fast if you drive alot, well worth it. The app is pretty laggy though, that's why I knocked off a star. It works, but it's slow compared to other apps that run fast on my phone.

Adds up faster than you might think! I love that you can cash out to a bank acct OR to your choice of many different gift cards. In about 8 months I've gotten back around $110. It's well worth it. Some cities have more options to use it with. I'd like to see more participants in places with none. I almost always will go a little farther out of my way to shop at the places who come up in the app.

Was going to rate 5 stars, but the problem is that I cannot use the textboxes when trying to request a restaurant. Also, when I press the X to exit, the app thinks I requested. I know that Upside is a growing program, but in order to make it grow, you need to make sure that people are actually able to do requests for their favorite businesses or the businesses in which they work at.

Great app! I love what they're doing with all the dining areas and lots more gas stations now. Only thing is sometimes when you use the easy check-in with a credit card or end up using a gift card, it doesn't allow you to upload images of receipts anymore. It should be an option to choose whether to do it by your credit card that's on history or to be able to do a receipt as well.

It's okay. I've used this for over a year, and I've pulled about $20 or so from rebates. More recently, I'm not sure what's been up, but I haven't gotten anything. I know some of that is because of multiple discounts (BP.me, memberships, etc), but some of it has been issues on Upside's end. If they could fix these system glitches, the app would be fantastic, but recently it's been a bit bumpy.

I downloaded the app and started to set up an account, but I can't seem to read the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy before I do that, even though the app asks me to and provides links for me to do that. Each one pops up but closes within a few seconds and returns me to the "create an account" page. I've tried several times and the same thing happens each time. I can't agree to those documents without being able to read them.

This app can be hit and miss. Most of the time, it's fine; great even. You claim an offer, fill up, and a few days later, cash back is received. Sometimes, after going through the trouble of finding a station with an offer (usually some trashy place) and waiting multiple days... Upside "can't find your purchase" or some other random problem. By then, any receipt I might've saved is usually long gone. Unfortunately this is becoming more common and their support just rehashes the same feedback.

I like the app. I'm surprised by how much I've received back after 3 fill ups. Yes the drawback is there aren't many choices YET but they are new and working on adding more gas stations, restaurants, and grocery stores. I'm sticking with this app because so far so good. I believe it has potential and I'm curious to see how well GetUpside does in the future. EDIT: I would rather be getting discount at the pump. It takes too long to earn enough money back to download to my card.

The savings are spotty there are very few participating vendors My largest issue is that Upside constantly spams you with notifications ( even if they are turned off in your settings) as well as spam emails. I am still waiting for someone to respond to my request to delete the account. If you don't want to be spammed I highly recommend that you don't download this app.

Was really looking forward to using this app. The cash back rewards would have been great --had I been able to use any of them! There was NOT ONE offer that was "near me". When I say near me...I am talking UNDER a 5 mile radius. EVERY SINGLE OFFER WAS OVER 10 miles & more from where I live. Personally I just can't see driving 20+ miles (Round Trip) to save $.11 per gallon. ESPECIALLY when gas is almost $5.00 a gallon where I live. I just can't afford the trip!

Bait and switch. Happening regularly now. I drive extra miles to get a station with a decent price just to find out that the price at the pump is 10 to 15 cents higher than what was on the app. Discounts are now only 1 cent. Getupside gas stations end up being the expensive option. So, then I drive to a non-getupside station to get a real, lower price. Ironic that getupside is the expensive option and actually costing me money.

Great to save on gas with only one exception. Anytime I fill up completely the server doesn't connect my transaction and I miss out big time with fuel rewards. I've even submitted my receipts to customer service to show proof, and they always dismiss them. Fix this issue and it would be an Amazing app to help save consumers some hard earned money!

App works well most of the time. It won't allow me to link a bank account (it times out every time), so I have to cash out through PayPal. Not ideal. I get the promised cash back maybe 75% of the time. Other times I get an E-mail with some excuse, and when I upload the receipt, it tells me the deal has expired. But again, it works most of the time.

I am a Roadside Assistance Tech, I've gotten alot of distance with this app, however I feel it should be easier to change Fuel Types on the fly. I've had a few errors out due to the inconvenience if trying to change the fuel Types, Since I service all kinds of vehicles with different fuel requirements, Deisels, premium, and regular... Still tho, great app

I barely want to give this app 2 stars. Like so many other pay apps, they lure you in with an initial reward, then paltry returns after that. Also, it needs to be able to switch between fuel types. Twice I have selected a Diesel offer and used the correct card and it ended up not validating (am currently in a validation period for the second, but I don't expect it to work since the first did not). It shows regular as the claimed offer. Missed out on $6 and likely not receiving the other.....

Using the app is easy and their customer service team is quick to respond and generally very helpful. If I had any downside (pun intended), it's that sometimes the gas prices displayed differ from the actual price paid upon arrival. If you are ultimately looking for the cheapest option after cashback, that affects your decision and you may waste a trip by checking in to a more expensive station. Id love for stations to be held accountable for inaccurate pricing, if possible.

The app seems to be straight forward when using it with my debit card. The 19 minutes to complete a transaction thing can be bothersome at times especially if I go to a busy station. The offers could be way better too. This 1 and 2 cents per gallon most of the time almost makes it not worth it. Increase the offers and do away with the time limits and this gets 5 stars.

It heavily depends on how well the receipt for gas is printed out. I tried twice. One the receipt had a print error but still legible. Filled in what the picture couldn't and no credit. Second time the receipt was perfect but was missing one piece of info, no credit. This app is worthless, I'll stick to finding the lowest price I can on maps and apps for stations I regularly pump with. Using data while at the stations wasn't guaranteed either. Trash.

This is a great app. I enjoy the Google maps feature it offers upon selecting a gas station. The rewards are real, and definitely add up incrementally over time. I used to use ibotta for groceries and always had issues with getting my monetary rewards. I quit using ibotta for this reason. I was leary about get upside, but have had no issues. They make it easy for you to get what's yours.

They give you one great cash back on your first fill up but then it dramatically decreases. 1cent here 2 cents there. The worst part is they set me to a more expensive gas station several times with false prices on the app. I put in the new price and find that I passed several cheaper places to get to a more expensive place. I guess the app is ok if you use it at restaurants and you really double check the real prices.

Please install an "Upload Receipt" option for every transaction. Each time I select a station and I check in when I arrive I've had to go back, weeks later, and email my receipt. Sometimes I pull up to the pump and immediately after I get an option to upload my receipt, but, not when I "Check In". I've had to email my proof of purchase over many times and it's very frustrating.

It's amazing that in almost a year there are still no improvements to this app. And based on other reviews I'm not alone in my opinion. It does appear that there's a few users actually getting something back, which is kind of a miracle, I suppose. But even then if the app says you'll be getting .23/gal or whatever and then you see it pending at .01/gal😒 but then even that never processes or "has issues" I'll be giving the app maybe 2 more days to finish "processing" and then I'm deleting again.

Extremely disappointing. After the first fill up you hardly get anymore cash back, so it's not even cheaper than cash. I would constantly have issues getting a receipt and/or verifying a receipt. It would take days to process each claim! There is also a ridiculous $15 minimum when cashing out or you are charged a $1.00 processing fee. In the end, I probably spent more time and money just trying to find a gas station that works with this app. Sad!

It was great until they could never seem to find the transaction in their partner data. If they can't find it after 10 days you don't get credit. Of my last 6 transactions they can't find 5 of them. The 4 before that, they could only find 2. So there really isn't an upside to using upside!

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this app. Even when I had a minor issue or concern about whether a grocery store purchase would be recognized because I selected the wrong card upon check in, I contacted their support team and received a speedy reply that explained it would still be credited because the card I chose was listed on my account. They were quick and very helpful when I needed them. A must try app. You have to get gad and groceries so why not get some real cash back.

Not worth the trouble anymore The app used to be easy to use and reliable. Credits would go into your account later the same day or the very next day. The last several times I've used it, I never get credit. Days that no transaction could be found that matches. ??? I send the receipt, not sure what else I could do on my part. But no reason to use it if I never get anything from it.
