VIP Access

Screen animations waste time. Have the developers of this app actually use it on a daily basis and then have them experience the annoying multi sec. wait while the app opens up and does it's flowery screen transitions and flashes in between updating the secure key. These graphics are unnecessary and take up time. I can enter my other passwords while waiting on them. They are pretty, but consider removing them from the app.

I liked the app otherwise. But to improve its productivity, custom home screen widgets should be included as well, especially for getting the latest token. Currently, In order to get the latest token, I have to open the app again and again which seems messy to me. A home screen widget would be really helpful for such use cases.

The token function itself has been working great for two separate Apps that use it for 2 factor authentication. My biggest frustration is with Norton itself not making it work (at least for me) for their own 2 factor setup in accessing my Norton account. I spent over two hours via chat a week ago with support people who had no clue about the App or the service. The 'supervisor' took screen shots and made it look like he was going to escalate, and a week later it is crickets. Unbelievable!

I appreciate that one of sites I do personal business with actually requires me to use VIP Access on the laptop as well as my mobile. I wish more of them used this app as a means of secure login. It must not require much bandwidth because I've never been unable to use it. It's sooooo much better than waiting for a text or email to be sent, with a code that expires in 5 mins., especially since I can't always get a text in our area, & email may require a stronger signal, or there's no Wi-Fi, etc.

This works fine for what it is. But there are a few annoying things about the experience of using it. The widget is massive. It used to be 4x1, and now seems to be 4x2. Can this be made smaller or resizeable? Also, the animation of generating the numbers means I have to wait an extra second before I can read them. There really should be no animation before displaying the generated code.

App itself is fine, but often has trouble communicating with my computer to connect to the VPN when confirming through push notifications. When I key the generated number it, it works 100% of the time. But when I confirm through push notifications, it may take 2 attempts (6 times selecting accept) I'm order for it to connect. Not sure if this is an application issue or a server communication issue.

You would think for an important application that is used to authenticate access to a system, that the company would ensure it worked flawlessly before releasing an update. I've turned off the cell and updated to the 2/10 fix to no avail. Looks like I'll have to reinstall and go thru the hassles of having to get the credentials approved at the companies to allow access for me.

Bug fixes and improvements on Feb 10th? That's a joke, bug creation and app failure is more like it. With the "fix" being reinstall. Which takes more time than it does for the company to fix. I've got over 20 sites linked to this app takes days to reinstall. If you can at all pick a different version, by a company that cares before pushing out failed updates which have the potential to cost millions $$$ in lost time a productivity for thier customers... You should do it.

After I did an update on my Android, it won't open. This is the 2nd time this has happened with a phone update. Then when I uninstall and reinstall, it gives me a new Credential ID which no longer links up with my bank account. Very frustrating and time consuming to sort out!

For those that are getting an incorrect code error message you probably got a new phone and transferred everything from old to new as I did. To fix this you will need to call the business you are trying to log into and have them update the VIP app credential ID. Once I dis that everything works seamlessly. Hope this helps

Overall simple and user friendly app. There is a bug in widget, it doesnt work in dark mode Please allow app to change foreground background colour based on system mode I m forced to open app in dark mode where widget could have done the job.

Awful, app never works and support is non-existent. I recently got a new phone and had to setup the 2FA (2 Factor Authentication), the link to set it up doesn't work and the support link doesn't work either. Why you even need to have all this security for your walmart account is beyond me, but needless to say this doesn't work well and even when it does it's a huge pain to even login to your account.

After reading reviews and answers it will create more problems from updates and the ability to use on other devices. Plus it's like the government hiding other unneeded items not wanted but included with the App. No thanks.

Sort of works but different accounts use a completely different screen. Screens are poorly labeled so overall it's confusing and error prone. Another bad example of thoughtless design.

This app simply doesnt work anymore. When I had it on my Note 8 it worked fine. But now, on my note 10+ it does absolutely nothing. Cant log into certain apps anymore either. Update: For whatever reason it never occurred to me, that a two factor authentication system based on your device, would need to updated in the VIP system for your BRAND NEW device. It's amazing that now that I've registered my new phone, it ACTUALLY works. Sorry for the low review at first.

Hate this app! Very unwieldy to have to switch screens back and forth to get code to paste onto password. I often can't get the protected site to open and can't use the desired mobile app at all. There are many other approaches to two-factor authentication that are much more efficient and user friendly.

I would give it 5 stars, but this app will no longer load on my watch, which was a fantastic functionality. It stopped working on my LG watch about a month ago and won't install on my new Galaxy Watch 4. Once they install functionality for pairing my my Wear devices, I'll adjust my rating to 5 stars once this is restored.

Only downloaded it to give it one star. App is terribly thought out. The fact that you can't transfer it to a new phone without having to re-registered stuff is a very out dated method. You want something that's modern and isn't held back by stupid ideas? Go with Authy. I'm also an app developer and I simply like making fun of others for their terrible ideas. You can easily get locked out of all your 2FA accounts if your phone breaks and you're using this terrible app.

Great to enhance security, it is constantly asking me to name the same devices. Also there's a remember my device option b7t it is constantly asking me to add it. Would be good to this issue fixed.

This app likes to uninstall itself which will then lock you out of your 2FA account. I have no idea what causes that. I'm running Andriod 10 on a flagship phone. There is no way to recover from losing the app or phone. There is no token backup or recovery. After having had this app disappear 3 times in 3 years, I am done with it. For accounts that require this kind of token, get a hardware key. If you have the option to use Authy or something like that, use it instead of this junk.

Symantec, you're not the first or last vendor implementing TOTP. Enabling 2FA by calling somebody to communicate that obscure ID is weird and makes it non interoperable with other apps where people already have many others TOTP accounts. I don't want to install yet another obscure TOTP client. All I want from you is QR code that I can use with my favorite TOTP app on my favorite device. No backup doesn't allow porting it to other devices. Usability of this app is horrible. Enable QR please!

We use this for security at our work. I switched phone and now it is not synced. There is no way to sync them easily. I have looked on the website and moblie site. Reinstalled and all. The website looks like a kid put it together. The help is jist for the qr scan codes. Terible user interface with no information on helping this issue which should be a common problem. 🤔

Still crapware. Can run on one PC, have 5 licenses and second PC appears as untrusted device. Can't make it trusted, instructions for adding a trusted device are incorrect and unusable. When it comes to security, don't do it sorta okay; make it 100% okay and functional.

The app start to consistently fail to launch on my note 9 after the Android 9 January security patch. I am not sure if they will patch this so I should wait or uninstall it and not waste my time getting another key and re-register it at the sites I use it in. I can only wait so long. My other 2FA's have no issues after the update.

Does not work! This is supposed to be 2 step verification for Walmart Wire sign in. It doesn't work. I have the Samsung Note 10 and this app doesn't work on it. I had the Samsung J7 Prime and it didn't work on it either. I use my phone to do alot of surfing and I have to wait until I am at work to log into the wire. Sometimes I need to check things when I'm not at work. Very frustrating!

Terrible. There are much better 2 factor apps, but for some bizarre reason some sites require this one which isn't any more secure and just inconvenient. It's been throwing an error message for weeks and locked me out of my accounts. Symantec's support never responds to messages.

Push notifications are suppressed in many networks. it works for airtel but not for other networks like Vodafone, jio. I am using S9 mobile. I am not sure what preventing the notifications but there is something. Forti client mac book application doesn't have the option to provide the manual VIP access code so it still worsening the situation.

How is this getting 4 stars?? Im just repeating what so many have said already with it only working the first time. Thats only after going back and forth on seperate devices to access and input different info into each. There is nothing conveinent or helpful about it. It has only conplicated and slowed everything. I hope this thing is fixed or thrown out completely.
