VOA News

I was glad to find this app. It brought back memories of how I found VOA and others channe surfing on sw and mw. However, nostalgia won't make up for the lack of background playback! I can't put on some headphones, lock the screen and throw my phone into my pocket! I can't even navigate away from something I'm listening to browse other content! It seems this and some other functionality used to be in older versions. Please put them back! They are fundamental to a good media playback experience.

This app was really good but suddenly it is not. Now there are "forced" notifications of news articles (which I could block) but this major new version of the app (unannounced) truncates articles at a particular number of lines so you can not read the whole article! The new version also starts playing audio by default which is really bad since often that is not appropriate. The developer feedback email address bounces and office 360 says it does not exist.

Well designed, great performance, clean user interface, comprehensive and informative.

This app give me confusion because is only app i use to download voice of studio 7 now i can't get it it just change and say i must start my language so my language is not there shona its only English yet for the beginning my language was there now i am not able to download studio 7 to share with others

Most of the apps I have found quite good , But some were sham . Some were laced with occult power. I had to struggle with a lot of cybertronic / magnetronic jeoopardies . Also, often, some apps were modified , manifesting irrequisite funtions . Even when the handset was under lock with encryption , it was same . Somebody told me ," Countrywise, there are different versions of cybertronic gadgets." Moreover, there is high-tech sci-fi digital propaganda warfare cyber network operating....

The app had been improved in certain areas but had been downgraded in very important areas.The app no longer auto cache news materials,when u come back offline the news is gone, you now only find a blank interface as against the previous version where u can read news cached offline.This new version no longer support widget,widget gives u the ability to view news headlines right from your home page,d audio cast no longer play in d background, I hav to stop using d app,pls return these features!

Radio means radio only. Should be radio only. Radio should not be a TV. Should support Audio only. But your stupid APP giving excess forms like video. Text display and other rubbishes. It makes the App too heavy to function lightly. Your previous blue colored App was good like that. But the present red colored App messed up all. Please revert to old simple ONLY RADIO (ONLY AUDIO) functionality. Or provode such a simple and light APP. Waiting.Thank you.

When it works, it works well. But ... the listed program title often is actually something else -- music instead of news, etc. Also it often just stops. Sometimes I can restart it. Sometimes not.

The new update I can't make copy to the sentence or word so I can use it like if I want to translate it

This is a great resource and news outlet. I use it in several language's to both keep my language's fresh but to get relevant and timely news stories from those regions.

Headquartered in Washington DC, Voice of America is a well-known US international broadcaster. The application is free as well as free from ads and IAP. The news are neatly classified, and easy to navigate. Recommended for all regions of the world.

Not happy with the new layout. I used to change the language through the app and now it's telling me to download separate apps for a different language.

There is nothing you can download here. Bad. I installed and uninstalled it many times just to see if there is at least a change...no, there isn't. Nothing changes in this app. Still useless

2 Not for the content. But need more articles for each region. Very few articles for each region. Need to improve in that front alot.

for the most part, it is good. the sections that divide up the news by topic and region haven't updated since June.

Good format. Easy to use. Sometimes slow to refresh stories when you open the app.

Clearity very good. Listening to and from Africa perspective is encouraging. Listening daily 24hrs is too good. Keep it up.

Voa is simply superb. I must confess your station makes my day. If there were a rating that's higher than 5star, I would give it to this station and quite honestly too.

Whenever i stream radio on voa, the radio switches off automatically.. This really irritates and lets me to give just two stars !

I uninstalled it after trying to set it up. It forces you to accept notifications, which I do not want.

An effective channel for learning spoken English in various fields ,especially for overseas listeners of which native language is not English
