If you connect the steering wheel it shows you a screen that says"press + when you're comfortable" but what you have to do to start the game is exit the game and go back in it. What's worse is that when you actually start to race you're face the wrong way so you have to guess where to drive because you're facing behind the car. . But at least you can use the headset for other VR games on the app store.
All of the bad reviews are true. Waste of time and money. I finally got it to connect from one user's review about turning off wifi and mobile data, but buttons are negotiated, and phone powered down after 1 1/2 races. when it did function properly, I had to turn my head to the side to get full screen. Un-installing and returning.
Works as expected. The wheel paired with my Note 4, Note 5, and my Note 9 perfectly. Plays very well. Graphics aren't exactly top notch, however far beyond what I expected for a $10 headset, with a free game. My son loves this game though. The device does press on my power buttons, however I just tap the phones back button and it doesn't affect gameplay. This app also works with any headset, including any Cardboard set, and GearVR "WHEN DONE RIGHT".
Here is a tip for those not being able to sync their bluetooth phones. Make sure you bluetooth is on, prior to scan. Then, turn on GPS locator. Then turn on fishing reel Bluetooth, hold down the biggest selector button. The device will then link up..... I don't know why it works, but it does....
Here are some tips to connect to the steering wheel . 1 make sure blue tooth is connected to vr rf racing . Can't connect? Don't worry. .2 turn off wifi & mobile data. .3 put batteries in steering wheel. .4 press scan. .5 try uninstalling the app and installing it if it doesn't work when you press scan. .6 when you press scan and it works, turn on the steering wheel and follow the instructions on your phone. Then let's race! 😀😀😀😀 Happy racing! 🏎️
Tried two different phones never works. Googled, tried all the suggestions, only got it connected ONCE and mistakenly felt confident enough to give it to my son as a Christmas gift. He's so disappointed. Not sure if it's the app or the piece of junk steering wheel. Now debating if i why to throw it in the landfill or let someone else try to make it work...
the interface for blutooth was difficult due to instructions not being accurate.. you have to turn off the controller, (with blutooth on)open the game, hit scan from inside the main screen, turn on the controller and press + as for the graphics and sturdiness of gameplay.. its not worth what i paid for. the graphics the video shows are nowhere near it. the game lags and is beyond blocky which makes gameplay more difficult than fun.
Don't know about all these reviews saying it won't pair or work because thr controller paired immediately and flawlessly on both a Galaxy note 10 and Note 10 + and iPhone 11. The headset isn't half bad for it's cheap price and it fits even my huge Note 10+ with the case off and doesn't hit any side buttons.The game runs smoothly on all devices I played it on and though simple is fun in vr. It did make the Note 10 a little hot but not enough to worry. Worth the $10 it costs imo and kids love it.
Was not impressed with this game at all!!!! Controller hooked up fine to it but when we tried to play, it only let me have rear view it would NOT let me change the view to see in front!!! This needs to be fixed! This app was recommended on the box that my sons VR came in!!
Scan button doesn't work in the app. So it's been pointless purchasing the vr headset and vr racing that is attached to this app. EDIT: finally got it to connect. App is shoddy. Game is super laggy and incredibly blurry. Yea, I'm disappointed not matter how little I paid for the set. That should give an inkling of how bad it is.
It was great with one exception, the normal setting (without VR) in settings is impossible to turn on while playong the game. It makes you stay in the option, and you cant get out. Restarting does nothing because it doesn't save settings changes. Very dissapointed!
Not multiplayer game. First issue screw to battery. Syncing, when scanning the app has to be open and blinks three times, then press + and then loading. Then put the phone in the VR headset. Next issue was the phone protection case wasnt fitting on both samsung galaxy 9/10. I had to remove the red casing. then I wasnt able to get phone out and had to pry open. the volume was too load and had to lower less than half. VR alignment inside game rotated to the right, until in racing then it realign.
sucked. don't bother. the controller does not interface at all with your phone, its laggy, and it makes me want to vomit when i try to used the vr headset. this might be an ok app with an actual controller and decent headset. but otherwise do not bother with this
The game keeps rescanning my steering wheel and I only got a chance to play it once because it only worked once. Also the pads to prevent the side buttons on the phone from being pressed don't work anymore and my phone keeps on restarting itself! It's an enjoyable app that you can't always depend on!
I can't connect to the steering wheel. I tried to restart my phone and turning off and on my bluetooth. It didn't work. So Cheap. I can't play the game without the steering wheel. What a cheap way to scam people out of 3 dollars.
Will not pair with blue tooth. Will not pick up the steering wheel even with the scan button on the App. Waste of $39.00 and 2 hours of time to try everything to get it to work for my son.
what good is it if the game screen will not rotate 180 degrees. the clamps on the goggles have two clips at the top that push down on most device volume buttons and when you rotate it the other way to avoid volume clamping, it doesn't rotate with it.
This is junk. Read and believe the reviews. Tried to connect via Bluetooth (turned off data and wifi as instructed) on i phone and three different androids for my son. Didn't work. Taking back to the store for a refund .
It keeps glitching and it keeps facing me backwards and it makes it a lot harder and I can't see where i'm going.
very nice experience! Keep it up and improve the overall quality of the gear and game and you could have one solid winner! Think...Ashphalt Extreme Racing 8 or 9 graphics and sound. Then lean towards a universal oculus rift construction of the VR headset. Nice work so far!!
Well spent 14 on the steering wheel and the game wish it had more levels had the game for 30min and already half way though it works great though love the idea and liked playing it just i wish it had way more then u guys would get a 5 star rate but very worth my 14 dollars pretty fun
Im giving this a 2 cool game u can drive in all but i need someone to tell me how to make it look foward when i drive and not backwards it also took a while for me to figure out hoe to connect it to my steering wheel but it connects now i just need to know how to make it oook forwards and when i turn my head i need to know how to make the game turn also but this is kinda disappointing i really dont recommend this game unless u really want it
The steering wheel will not connect to my device and its making me mad. Please who ever made this toy, please fix this because i can't play it like I want to. My phone is really old and its a Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro and i think it's not eligible for my phone type so PLEEEEEEASE FIX THIS!!!
Could not rate. Like others bluetooth connection not working (suspect old bluetooth version wheel). Websites are down. Old unsupported wheel and software. Took wheel back and unloaded over 300MB bandwidth and wasted time :-(
steering wheel wont connect. we tried 3 different phones, 2 samsung models and 1 OnePlus model. its crappy we bought this game and it wont even work. BT claims theres a passcode on the steering wheel.
This is an unexpectedly good game after you get past the useability issues. The headset that comes with the game is a piece of junk. The Bluetooth steering wheel controller is the best part and works great when you can get it to connect. I love that the game lets you disable VR so that you can play without the headset. Gameplay is simple. But it's not half bad!
