Synchronization instructions:
- Synchronization is a new feature that keeps a movie in sync between two devices. To enable sync, first set up the IP of your peer in Settings/General, where you can also find the IP of your own device. Do this on both phones.
- Select a video to play. If it's a local video it must be present on both devices.
- In the VR UI, click the "sync" button on both devices to enable synchronization.
- On one of the devices, start the video by pressing the play button. After a small delay, the movie will start playing synchronized on both devices.
Seeking and network play is supported!

Permission usage:
NFC, WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE : Used by the Cardboard SDK to set up and save your headset configuration.
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: Used for finding the IP of your device and displaying it in the Sync settings, to help set up synchronized play with another device.
INTERNET, READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required for accessing media on the device and for streaming.
Note: The VIBRATE permission is not used and will be removed in the next release.

I see so much potential in this app. It was really easy to work with, I loved the idea of having a menu in the video player and the little movie theater was cute, but after using the player for awhile, I noticed that evreytime I moved my head, the setting/environment would move too, making it really hard to select other videos. YOU'VE GOT TO FIX THIS. I can't think of another app I would use other than this one. Which is why change needs to occur quickly. This app would be so good w\o this.
Wow. I am really impressed. If you have a VR headset you must try this. It changed the way I will watch my movies. I loved the VR UI and the screen lock. Definitely will buy the paid version. At the time I wrote this, there was no updates for about 9 months. But I must say that It works perfectly. No missing features or glitch. Probably no update needed yet. Only thing I would love to see added is a pass though camera button maybe at right side of the screen. Just to find stuff around IRL.
Hasn't been updated in a long time. Bug 1: Video doesn't automatically move onto the next film, even when I have them loaded on the phone. Bug 2: Recently started, the app no longer remembers where you got to in the film, it therefore starts from the beginning again even if you click resume. Only just started doing this since updating Android. Developer needs to pull their finger out and release some fixes!!!
This is the most stable and easy to use VR movie player I have tried so far. It also opens non VR movies to give a cinema like experience. Other apps need you to adjust every time a new type of file comes. This does that automatically. The head guided controls are not too far apart so not too much movement is required.
It's the best VR player I've used. I've tried more than 10 vr players and this one is better than them all. It's easy to use, has a nice interface and also a ton of features which no other vr apps provide. The only downside is this app auto exits sometimes while I'm watching a video and it's happening since last 2-3 days. Once that's fixed I'll rate it 5 stars.
This app WAS great. Simple interface, highly customizable playback options. 2D to VR support, good controller support... Recently, however, audio does NOT play in VR mode. Even if video is not split to cardboard view, upon entering vr mode audio MAY briefly continue, but then no longer works. Multiple files, types, sources, all the same problem. Developer, please fix, or help to troubleshoot. Will rate 5 stars with fix, because it was for years.
five stars because it supports EAC and also supports video formats and plays high quality videos without slowing them down and also has easy to use and useful tools it would be even better if you could change the position of menu in vr mood to left and right too.(I know that left and right is possible) thanks for your wonderful app. keep up the good work.
Best vr app I've come across. Having controls at the very bottom is very convenient and the fact that you can control it by looking at whichever button for a few seconds to select is genius. Would like more options like being able to create playlists or a shuffle option.
This is good, detects type of video automatically, theater room view is nice. You can accidentally play a video you don't want though (when pointer is hovering over thumbnail). Easy to change screen size. The screen in 2D mode doesn't drift away and this is the best feature of this app. This is better than gizmodo app which i think is second best vr player here.
Powerful player for 3D movies. I like it. I had a problem with headset with magnet lock on cover. Experimenting with Cardboard SDK I set "magnet as trigger" once and it broke player a little (video is always centered). But I was not able to fix it anymore neither in Cardboard profile nor in app settings. Reinstalling fixes it.
great but I have one bug. sometimes, one side of the video is way bigger. it's always the right side. I fix it by exiting, and either uncheck or check vr mode checkbox then play and set it to vr with the button bottom right side. this always fixes it. I'm weary to purchase because of this.
It's great, probably the best player out there for SBS videos... but over/under videos are no longer correctly aligned for me. Verified with multiple videos too. When I first began using this app last year, the same over/under videos worked fine.
Love it app. Very useful in playing various stereoscopic 360 videos, even in 4k. Can you please add a " switch eye" option? Some artist who make SBS stereoscopic footage swap left eye to right eye so a person may easily cross his eyes to watch the video but it also makes footage unable to be used in VR.
Absolutely awesome and the best player. Plays normal videos perfectly in Vr for cardboard type headsets and also lets you control your orientation and screen size, a feature which I found missing in all other apps I tried. Great job to the developers and UI team. Thanks.
To reiterate, headset profile settings can't be changed (inter-lense distance, screen to lens distance, etc.). Whatever values you enter doesn't work/save. The app is great for the most part, but the above needs to be fixed.
Cool app, It has support for Bluetooth controller, which is rare. I'm just having trouble changing de inter-lens distance, it resets to default . Also it doesn't have a VRbuilt-in browser . Other than that it's very functional
perfect for those who want good codec or even custom ones. full of good features and detailes setting. the only draw back is handset setting reset every time you open the app and also screensize is small even if you choose big in the settings
It worked well for some time but suddenly I can't change the inter focus distance and the distance of lens from screen and other headset profile options which is why the videos are getting blurred. Waiting for a reply to fix the issue soon.
It took me a while to find this app. This is the best VR video player on Android I've seen so far on Android. It works perfectly, has many features and is not filled to the brim with ads. ♥️
Whenever I'm watching a video, it keeps sliding to the right or to the top depending on what position I'm watching it in. If this problem gets solved, I can give it a higher rating.
One of the few players that gave me access to navigate the file i want to play from internal storage and the interface has many options while keeping it simple. 5 stars, great app
This app works better than any other app I've tried for VR movies. Unfortunately, it stops after 15 minutes... movie stops, screen goes black. I hope this gets fixed!
Among all the apps which titlesled VR Video player, this is THE ONLY one managed to show SBS 3D a movie without any latancy. lots of helpful setting for the better experience. very pleasing, thanks guys
I find almosy everything perfect with the app, my only problem being that the audio and video are not synced sometimes, that can get rrally annoying. Everything else is great
I rarely write reviews. BUT i have tried soo many VR apps and all were useless. This single app gave me all the features and also supports google VR services which enables us to change headset config with the click of a button
I tried different VR apps but this app suited my needs as it has better UI, controls and features when compared with other similar apps. Some of the great features are, 1. User Interface. All the player controls are positioned in such a way that it doesn't interfere while watching the movies. 2. Screen size can be adjusted easily. 3. Supported by Google cardboard. 4. Screen lock is flexible.
