VSCO

I love VSCO, it definitely has created the atmosphere of art that Instagram was originally intended for, and has managed to keep it that way. It does have quirks, and locks a lot of presets for premium, I have never had major issues like some other people have had. I do however, miss that in the latest update they took away the 'Trending' category on the home page. I spent most of my time there after I went through my feed, as the other categories are stagnent and don't change often. It's sad...

I've used the free version of VSCO for a few years now because it was the best option for photo editing; I didn't mind the ads or that certain features were locked because the interface was so user friendly. Now, however, there are suddenly paywalls on tons of features and presets that used to be free. Thing is, I wouldn't even mind paying if it was like this from the beginning. At this point, I'm just going to uninstall and move to another app; heck, I'll just edit in Instagram instead.

I've been using VSCO for years and although I've never gotten the premium option I've never had a problem with the free version. But recently simple features that used to be available in the free version have randomly been moved to the premium and it's very disappointing because these are features and filters I used to always use. At this rate, I won't be able to edit my photos decently without upgrading to premium. Whatever free features were available before should remain.

Love using VSCO, very user friendly and produces high quality images. However, with their last update, they made certain editing tools that I use for nearly ever image locked and only for premium users. These tools have always been free to use the past 8 years I've had the app. I don't see why this was necessary and am very unhappy with the change.

Used to love this app but within the last week they've taken off so many editing tools for the free option and so many presets too that the app is pretty much useless if you don't pay. I've paid for some presets in the past but it seems like the ones I've used the most have now disappeared. Simple tools like highlights, clarity and grain are now unavailable. I downloaded it years ago because it was a great free app and could be even better if you paid. Deleting asap. Extremely disappointed.

I wish I could give ZERO stars! The app keeps crashing when I want to save my work!!! Imagine spending such a long time crafting recipes and editing only to realise that you can not save your work!!! I have lots of storage space and my operating system is up to date! Yet I can't save my own work? I have uninstalled and reinstalled this app up to 10 times now...NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

I had previously bought many preset packs. Did not switch to the new model, because felt no need and also had paid my share for the app. Now they are taking away "premium" features - tone, clarity, etc - that were previously free, instead of innovating and adding new, truly premium features. Poor decision. Only regret is the money I spent on the preset packs, that are now unusable (highlight/shadow corrections and fine-tuning to me are essential). Follow the Russian warship.

Now why would you suddenly just decide put these normal, everyday, free filters and settings on premium after all these years. If it was something new you were coming up with that would've been understood. But this makes NO SENSE at all. You really should work on it or in no time you're gonna loose alot of users. I could this was my go-to photo editing app for anything but NOT ANYMORE! FIX IT!

So many bugs ruining what could be an amazing app - seriously considering membership renewal. The most frustrating ones are all to do with the studio page. Firstly, scrolling occasionally glitches and loads images already scrolled through (devs aren't recycling the items correctly). Secondly, long press any photo and it gets stuck, the app glitches the photo in and out, when you click the back button it exits the app rather than returning you to the studio. Video export quality is also poor.

I have been using vsco for a few years and I really loved it, I have been using it to create my small personal gallery. However, the latest update will probably cause thousands of people uninstalling the app. Almost every feature is premium now, you basically can't do anything with the photo unless you pay for premium and that makes the app useless. This app really went from great photo editor to a useless commercial app.

Really is a shame, been using the app for years, have over 3k photos on there, even bought some filters way back when, and when the subscription thing came about, they were locked for me once more, and I still didnt mind.. But now, in the latest update, you cant even access basic stuff like Tone and Grain without a subscription. What a waste of a good app, time to find a new one I guess.

Loved this app before! Have to change my opinion about this app from 5 stars to 2. Have been using vsco since 2016, always thought that that's the best app, but what happened to it? Seriously, tried to edit one photo today for freaking 4 times, just using 2 simple tools, and couldn't save because of the highlighted blue line saying that I should try new options/free trial and etc. and that highlighted line was on SAVE button, it doesn't saved my edited photo, 4 freaking times! So disappointed((

I have been using VSCO for about half a year now to edit product photos for my shop as well as for my own photos. After having been a big fan of their features, the recent update has made the features I specifically use the app for, only available for premium accounts. I would not reccomend downloading the app if you just are looking for basic features which can be found in the photo editor from your camera app already.

I've used VSCO for years since it first came out & it was my favorite editing app to use but last night in the middle of an edit, the grain feature that was free for yearrrsss, all of sudden was locked! It is now part of the membership option. Grain & tone were my favourite to use as it was always part of my photo editing process now that its locked I'll have to edit my photos elsewhere. Which is truly disappointing. I'll be uninstalling the app.

I've been using this app for years and what happened recently is so ridiculous it actually made me laugh. Basic tools ended up behind paywall, just like that. At this rate soon we'll need to pay to change contrast lmao. I won't uninstall it just yet as I bought some filters years ago and maybe VSCO will get better one day (doubt it). I'd say it all went downhill after the rebranding and forced sign up. Subscription service for photo filters... give me a break!

Well... I used to love editing in VSCO, I thought it was so good and well put and it's presets we're simply amazing, but my favorite thing was that I was able to add grain to my pictures..... now all the cool tools you have to pay to use, and it has started to become annoying. Make everything else part of your membership, but not the one tool that once made u famous. Bring grain back!

Used to be my favourite editing app since it first came out in 2011. They've taken away filters that I've previously paid for/claimed and now they're locked - meaning that I need to pay for membership again in order to access filters I already owned?? The membership isn't worth the price anymore. It's gross that they've gotten so greedy and took free features like grain editing away. Guess I'll have to find another app to edit in.

I've been a fan of VSCO app for years and there's no other app that can beat the features this app has, or do i say "had"? I've been waiting for so long but it has never updated even after i updated new versions. I mean what's up with the camera focus? I cant even tap the screen for focus because it'll just snaps pictures. Thought it was my settings and it isnt and you've removed that feature, what gives?? Allow us to tap on screen for focus when using the vsco camera.

I like the VSCO experience but there's quite a few bugs and glitches, icons don't show up, I'm sent all the way up everytime, doesn't recognize new photos nor videos. I love the vibe, the tools and all but it's just very buggy and feels incomplete sometimes. Patiently waiting for an update! Cheers!

Well. The filters are great. The interface is nice and streamlined. I've really enjoyed it for the 2 weeks I've been using it. And yet. And yet. How can a photo app fail to detect newly taken photos unless I RESTART my phone? It makes absolutely no sense and is a massive inconvenience. It's beyond a bug, it's an issue that completely sinks this app for me and would give me pause about putting money into it again.

Attn! You can't cancel your free trial subscription via Google Play. It doesnt work. You'll get charged. VSCO doesn't handle subscription cancelling by themselves, they pass it on to dispute to Google. Latter one will not qualify you for a refund. As I got stuck with the app for a year, I tried to get into it. After two months of attempts, I've given up. If you need a set of filters, it does the job, but not if you're up to anything more complex. The UI is bonkers and doesn't make any sense.

Just got the "premium" version after having the free version for YEARS. With no issues. I've edited the same d@$m pic about 5 times now, when I push save it freezes then goes to my VSCO gallery instantly. With the pic sitting there...UNEDITED. Cleared cache, forced stop, uninstalled and reinstalled. Zero stars because it's nonfunctional.

I've used VSCO for years and have loved it, BUT this new update has locked features that have made this app worth having over other apps. Now you can no longer adjust highlights, shadows, add grain, clarity, change the undertones. By locking these features under membership they have made the free version completely unnecessary and seemingly useless :(

Got the premium membership. Vsco is awesome especially the slowmo and all the new features for video but ever since I updated to the latest version it keeps on crashing and freezing and I can't do even the most basic of things anymore. Tried clearing the data and all to fix but it didnt work. Please fix the bugs as soon as possible.

please make the scrolling stagnant when I click into a photo - it sends me right right back up to the top of the reel when i hop out of the blown up photo screen :-/ makes it difficult to explore my feed. I'd like to view the photos big as possible and keep scrolling uninterrupted. Just little experiences like that in the application annoy me. But overall really good app and have always loved vsco and development. UX details just need to be refined

I am unable to save any of my edited images to my camera roll. The app will say "saving" but nothing happens and then restart over and over again. It's really frustrating to not able to post my edited images to Instagram or anywhere for that matter.

Yes hello, I had paid for this app so I could make edits that INCLUDE the smooth option, but it does not show up and it makes my videos look bad and plus it makes my videos skip ALLOT how could I fix this. If I don't find a way or get the option later on, y'all may lose a user of this app and soon will want a refund for the app not working right.

This was a 5 star app for the longest time but now that they've pay walled basic features that have always been free (grain and tone for example) it's forcing me to go back to using Adobe Lightroom for basic editing. The presets are the only thing left of value.

Really liked this app but it's getting more and more buggy and less user friendly :( all my pictures in my studio are gone. When I click and hold on a picture to input it stalls and I need to close and reopen the app to then reselect all of the photos I want to import. I keep getting filters in my favorites after removing them they continue to appear, just small things like this make the app not as enjoyable, especially having a membership I pay yearly.
