In the several years I have used this app I have never been able to get through a complete game without it shutting down on me and failing to be able to stream. same thing on their Playstation app as well. You would think by now, they would have the bugs worked out, ESPN, and TBS both, Can never get through a ballgame without the app crashing multiple times or just failing to work at all in the first place.

Every single day, I have to log out of my TV provider and re-authenticate in order for this app to work. After searching online, this is an issue that many others have. This has been going on for years. Extremely frustrating to say the least. Besides this, WatchESPN is my least favorite streaming app. Slow interface, videos buffer often, and occasionally loses connection to my Chromecast.

For a company this big, this has to be the worst streaming app. Its always buffering, and even when its not, the audio is out of sync with the video. The same issues happen on espn apps on other platforms too, so its not just a compatibility issue. ESPN needs to catch up to the times. No other network or video streaming app has these problems in 2018.

Terrible streaming quality that doesn't even appear to be 1080p. The streams buffer constantly no matter how good a network I connect to which is far more infuriating considering I just stated that it isn't even 1080p and beyond that I can no longer scroll to a point in an old replay of something I can only watch it from beginning to end. This would be far less terrible if the app only saved my place in the video I was watching like any other streaming app developed in the past 5 years. A completely sup par experience.

The app works OK most of the time. But, as it's not been updated since 9/2017, it's entire functionality has been incorporated into the main ESPN app. And, it's worked better that way ever since. Plus, there is not ESPN+ on this. There really is no reason to use this app over the main ESPN app, and they should just pull this app from the store.

Trying to watch Monday night football and every time the play is about to start the screen blacks out and the loading circle comes on or it just says error. I close the app then go into the app and it's either on commercial or I have to sign in again. I have cable and internet so there is no reason for the app to not be working. If you want to watch ads the app works great so download it. Just don't expect to see an entire game on it. It works for about 5 plays every quarter.

Just ridiculous. We shouldn't have to watch the entire 1st half of a game just to get to the 2nd half when the app crashed. Where are the controls for the replay videos? Not being able to rewind, pause, or fast forward a replay is unacceptable.

The streaming quality is GARBAGE. Other than that it is a well designed app. If I watch the same game via YouTube TV or DirecTV Now, the quality is much better. The mouse better up their streaming quality game if they want to compete with Netflix in the near future.

Trying to watch the UFC debut on the app. They delayed the start because of an NCAA game. Didn't bother to put it on one of their 50 other channels until the game was over like FOX used to do. Way too much buffering 2 seconds of video to 15-20 seconds of buffering. Poor picture quality as well.

This is the worst app I've ever used. It never works. I've been trying unsuccessfully to watch things on it for 1/3 of a football season, and it never connects to my provider, or something. I get the "Needs to Reauthenticate" message every time.

This is the worst app ever to include the Amszon app. Total trash. From one play to the next buffering and it's not my network because Netflix, Hulu, Amazon and the rest play without buffering. Put some money into your servers ESPN. This is garbage! It's funny how there's no buffering during the commercials! Trash

had membership to espn+ for almost 10 months. Error every time I logged in using the ESPN app (as suggested) and I had to "restore" before it would allow me to watch anything. occasionally had errors loading (blank screen) that I could not differentiate was a wifi issue or an ESPN app issue.

I've contacted everyone possible in order to cancel my account. However, every single person I speak to tries to transfer me to someone else, or send me to a different website. I have used it one time and am still being charged every month. I will never watch ESPN again and will tell every single person I know about this.

It's a great app. I love watching my college basketball games. I dont like the recent upgrade I can no longer rewind and see replays of certain plays I like or forward past the commercials. Please fix that.

Good idea, doesn't work. At first I thought I just had bad signal, but I can watch 1080p streams and videos on youtube or twitch with no buffering, but switch to this app and watch a loading circle more often then video.

This app WILL NOT connect to my DirecTV account !! No matter how I try, it simply won't work !!! Yes, I've uninstalled and reinstalled, hoping it might work, but not anymore. Very. very upsetting !!"😒😒

New title "Watch Nothing" Cant even selecg my provider since all the selections arent srt up with links to take you anywhere, you will click on Xfinity for example nothing happens you are just stuck at the service provider selection screen...why is it so hard to make the app STAY working...

Mostly works. I hate the login issues I seem to have at times. I get they are trying to protect the revenue stream, but work harder to make the usage seamless to those of us that use this. Also ADD SLPIT SCREEN Mode already. Geez. 5* if those two issues are rectified.

Content would be fantastic if they could fix the issues with the quality of the stream, always seems to have issues with buffering and can rarely hold high definition for very long.

horrible never works and tells me I need to buy a espn subscription with my provider ...... which I have had for 12 years now. 10 of which has been full HD so there is no reason I shouldn't be able to use this. it won't even give me s place to login anymore!!! and of course they never answer me back. Don't download WASTE OF TIME

Never works. Absolute waste of time and memory. Causes more frustration than not watching the game at all. Do tourself a favor and just save yourself the trouble with this app and just beat yourself in the head with a heavy pan.

If it Aint Broke dont fix it!!! I am really not liking this upgraded app. I don't know if it just me, but I've had the watchespn app for years with my Shield Tv and everything was great for me.With this new version of the app, I am no longer able to use my shield tv controller to scroll around the app and move around and this app,I have to use a mouse.

last update over a year and a half ago. update it so it runs smooth. loads for 10 seconds then I watch for 3. just continues to do that while streaming. so this app is broken for the time being

Completely useless. I stream all my tv with no issues except for this app. I watch espn on youtube tv no issues but this app is useless buffers every 30 seconds. It is brutally painful to use and angers me more than watching my team lose.

Needs to re-authenticate, and after relinking to my provider, it still needs to re-authenticate. Doesn't resume my content where I left off. Lots of content, but the ux is severely lacking as a platform.

Used app one time to watch a football game and was happy. Recently I found I could watch NHL hockey games, but app quit working. It seems the app is no longer supported.and you must subscribe to ESPN+.to watch these games.

Streaming is awful. Constantly cutting out and freezing. All other streaming services work fine on my devices. WatchESPNs quality seems to decrease every month.
