Wattpad

This used to be a really good app, I used to love reading on this. But now it's full of ads and they even put an ad banner at the bottom of the pages, you also have to pay for everything and it's really annoying. There's bugs, for instance at the end of a chapter some lines sometimes disappear when you read it in pagination mode. Plus the app crashes all the time for me, I can't read 2 chapters without the screen becoming fully grey and the book info showing.

Love the app a lot! Used it for a while now, but one thing that annoys me SO much is the add bar that was added at the bottom of the page! Its so distracting!! Another problem is when I want to publish a chapter on my fanfic. It would always say error! I would have to delete the app and reinstall it over and over again, and its getting very infuriating. Other than that its a very good app :)

I've been on this app for a while now, and I didn't mind the adds. Sure it's annoying that every other page there's an add, but I was okay with that. But now, they've begun showing adds while ON the reading page at the bottom and it's EXTREMELY distracting and infuriating! I can't focus on reading and the changing, moving, flashing add on the bottom. It really ruins the quality of reading.

I love it, I've used it for a year or so now(before the time there was a limit to offline books). What I DON'T like is that ad bar at the bottom of the screen, not only is it distracting, it completely unnecessary! We get ad viewing already. I understand that they want readers to buy the premium + or whatever. But some don't have that kind of money. SO can we get a ONE TIME purchase so that we can AT LEAST get rid of the ad bar.

A very good app. I write and read on it almost every day. My only complaints are that it shows all these dangers about smoking ads. If they showed others it would be a nice change of pace, and it will cater to storys or books you read on there, even if it's not saved to your library or a reading list. It also keeps deleted storys in your library / Reading lists, and it's annoying to find a story you were looking for, only for it to be deleted, or moved so only a certain audience can see it.

I usually love this app as I love reading and seeing other peoples work. But the inflation of ads is very annoying to me. I never minded the ads every few pages or so, because I can't afford premium, but now I've noticed an ad bar at the bottom of the pages which is usually a very popping image. It is very frustrating to read with the ad bar and has made it so I dont want to use the app as much.

I absolutely adored this app since it brings back so much nostalgia. Lately they seem to be very money hungry (I assume it's for the competitions) but the ads I am watching- the money isn't even going to the story that I'm reading (bc it's free)! I would feel better if it was going to the author I'm supporting but it's not and the ads end up being a major distraction. It's gotten to the point where I turn off my internet to read a story.

Completely gold. I can write my own stories any time any where,even when I'm offline. But there are a few problems with wattpad tho. First the paid stories,when it comes to people who are broke wattpad made a solution to add a ad button that gives coins as a award but most of the time they aren't in the app and I needed to do lots of stuff just to get it. And second complaint is that I wish that there are more style or font when it comes to the letters. Either way it's a really good app.

I used to love Wattpad, and although I still do, I think the ads are starting to get to me. There's too many. They're fine between chapters, albeit a bit too frequent, but really annoying along the bottom of the chapter, and they don't go away. I do recommend it because of the ease of use, but if a lot of ads are a deal breaker, I suggest waiting until they either lessen or remove the ones inside of chapters entirely.

Okay, love the app and everything, but I would appreciate it going back to only having to watch the one add and being able to go back between chapters. If you accidentally go to the next chapter you get an add, and then when you try to go back you get ANOTHER add. You don't even get go back to the other chapter. Not to mention that each add has three separate skip buttons...just one or two should suffice. I want to use this app more, but this is a hassle that makes it hard.

Litterally the best app out there! You can have an infinite amount of stories added to your library and can make as many reading lists as you want so it's easily organized! The writing is so good too! You can write in bold, italics, and even underlined! The only thing I have wrong with the writing is that you cannot use different fonts, which would be really nice to add to the story- anyway, the app is really nice, it's helped me write and read some amazing stories Ads are the WORST!!

Great stories!!!! App is quite easy to use. You need to pay for the ad free version of the app but still the app doesn't have too many ads, it's bearable. Ads are there and you have to pay for some stories too, like chapter wise. Some of the starting chapters are free and to open the rest you have to pay. But it still has some great stories which are completely free. You are able to save books online too, not a lot but quite a few.

I've been a long time app user and have experienced the differing versions of the app. BUT, the addition of banner ads at the bottom of the screen is horrible. They're intrusive, distracting, and disrupting. They cover words and sentences. The ads are taking over the app. I get inflation, drops in users, and/or whatever the cause but when it comes to the overuse of ads, customer/user satisfaction should triumph. Next thing we know, there an ad after turning a page

I like this app, but now we have a ad bar at the bottom of EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER. So it blocks some of the story, it's annoying sometimes. Then, I also write on Wattpad, and sometimes I'll add about 3 spaces between thing and I'll save it to work on later, but when I open the chapter back up there is only 1 space when I saved 3 spaces, it's annoying. But aside from that, I enjoy the app and the people that are on there so, I do recommend it.

This is a great app, there's plenty of books and a huge variety. The authors are great and it's a great app for beginner writers to share their writing with the world. However I am having a few issues with this app but it's not just this one so it's probably just my phone. It keeps auto closing and I've uninstalled and reinstalled at least 7 times. If anybody know how to fix this that would be great. Xx (Edit: it was just my phone lmao, got a new one a few months ago and it's all good! Xx)

A user since 2016, loved the app then. Now, not so much. I keep forgetting why I don't use Wattpad as much. Everytime I go back, there's something taken away for free users. The ads are not consistent and buggy too. Some has fast forward, some don't. You'll be stuck in loop of ads if you want to go to the previous chapter because you swipe to next chapter too fast and still doesn't direct you the previous chapter. If the author publish their work on different platform, check it out!

I've been using Wattpad for years now and I've never had any problems with it, but I think there's a big problem with the ads. I don't mind watching an ad after a chapter but now there have been added ad bars to the bottom of the chapters. They are quite annoying and distracting, especially when you have 'dark mode' on.

Hey! Long time user here! Um, so the little bar at the bottom of my screen, yeahh, the ad. Let me just say that I absolutely despise it. Also, why do you need it? There's already an ad after 3 chapters. Also, while I'm doing this, I also, have hated, and will always hate your coins and the pay books, or the premium. Honestly once premium was added, it lost the feel of the old wattpad. G'day :)

I love this app, I do, I've read hundreds if stories and fanfictions and it's the best reading app I've come across, but there is a problem. I like to wrote stories, and today, I spent a good 2-3 hours writing an amazing story that I was confident in (Which almost never happens), but then, I went to edit it, AND EVERY SINGLE CHAPTER WAS DELETED! I'm so pissed because now I'll never be able to get that back, I can rewrite the story but I've already forgotten some of it. Please fix this.

The app is really wonderful, yes, but I keep running into this problem. At first it was only on stories I was reading where it would freeze and I would have to restart the app and had to find my page again which really ruined the quality. The it started happening while I was writing, and now while I'm just scrolling through! It's ridiculous if you ask me. Can you please fix this?

This app is really good and best i suggest! But the problem is, even if i save the story I'm writing, the story got deleted! Can you believe it! I spend half or more hours writing one chapter! Please, fix it! It's really annoying, i open the story to edit it, there always come a suggestion, that review time or whatever it's called. I'm just really annoying! Fix it. Thank you.

It's great reading at Wattpad, it's just that I really miss the old version where I can save my favorite lines and quotes. I have a few of them before and it's just nostalgic when I try to find the button for that because it's already gone. Oh, and the ads, they are everywhere! And sometimes, I click on it accidentally when looking at the story info, then when it's done, I'm already angry.

I love this app but now there is like a permanent ad at the bottom of the screen and it's very distracting from when I'm trying to read I don't really enjoy this as very off-putting to the reading experience when you have dark mode on (Edit: for a while now the ad at the bottom wasn't there, but then it suddenly appeard. Now even more annoyed)

I have been using the app for few months and I really like it. Overall app is good but It's my humble request for the creator to add another feature that shows the publishing date of every chapter in the book so that it's easier to determine the time the writer is taking to update a book and it is easier to understand if the book is discontinued or on going.

I would have given five stars but the major notification problem is annoying. I sometimes get notifications very late and this creates situations with other readers/writers. Please, it is recommended to provides a more stable update to the application. Thank you in advance. Including emojis (and everyone can use it, not part of a premium) will be really great.

Been using this app for years! Ads showing every now and then were ok; annoying, but durable. Now there are flipping adds on the bottom of the page. And it's a moving add. Very distracting. Please remove this. I know I'm not the only one that finds this flipping distracting.

Been using Wattpad for years now, noticed there are quite a few bugs lately. The missing text bug on the last page can be fixed by just using the scroll bar on the bottom of the page, but other bugs are not as bearable. Such as being unable to reorder chapters when editing and the app crashing on PC when attempting to edit certain chapters. Also where is the about section on PC and why is it always "unavailable"? Other than the many bugs I still enjoy using it.

It's doing what its supposed to do, just with too many unwanted side effects. 1) The book acts if a chapter was never published, even when the writer personally confirms that he did publish it and in fact it already has views. Had to delete and reinstall the app to fix it. 2) The options "Bonus Chapters" and "Writer's Reveal" show up, but disappear the moment I click them. Also, the writer confirmed he made no such bonus chapters or anything. There's more but I have ran out of space to write.
