Waze - GPS, Maps & Traffic

Hi, I drive uber and for the last 3months i have been using waze. At first it was good and it would take me to my destination within the given time. Now the latest update has broken ETA on my destinations and waze is unable to find adresses given in the uber app. If i follow the map given in the uber app, which is very difficult sometimes, it takes me to the exact destination but waze fails to do so. Sometimes it will guide me into routes which are not allowed for cars. Please fix it

There are several articles online about data usage and they're all incorrect misleading at the very least. I used more data in my first half hour than they said I should use in a month. It's due to downloading of new maps despite the fact that I started the route on Wi-Fi. If you have limited data, I suggest just using Google Maps where you can easily download maps for offline usage. Waze needs to make it easier or more transparent about data usage.

I have used waze for several years now. And I've always loved it. But now, whenever I change apps, it turns off my route! I can't switch over to my YouTube music or Facebook or anything without it resetting. Then I gotta put my destination back in and let it find it and everything. Please fix this bug!

Overall great app but one issue that's been bothering me is the fact that since March 2022, whenever I try to use Google Assistant to report anything like traffic, it would fail and say that something went wrong and I'd have to manually dismiss the error message. This is super dangerous as it only happens when I'm driving. For the record, I'm using a Galaxy S20 and in the past, I didn't have any issues with using Google Assistant to report traffic conditions until March of this year.

When it works it's great and stand alone it's one of the best, but when used with Android Auto you can get major issues. Real lag at the moment and GPS speedo has disappeared. Sadly had to go back to Google Maps until its fixed and unable to contribute to Waze community. In Waze's defence I think it's and Android Auto update that has caused the problem. Can't wait to come back.

Keeps crashing and restarting every few seconds when used in Android Auto. Started happening recently in the last week or so, happens repeatedly every journey. Reverting to Google Maps until this is fixed.... Edit: I ended up getting a new phone and this isn't occurring now. However, this app is crying out for some really basic features concerning camera alerts - firstly it needs the option to alert ALL cameras, regardless of whether you're below the limit, along with a second warning within 50m or so as you reach the camera. Secondly it needs the option to customise the alerting distance. Mobile cameras can operate up to 1000m so it's entirely possible that you might already have been caught before Waze even alerts you to the camera. TomTom's camera app has these features, it would be nice if they could be implemented in Waze.

This issue is present on both my phone and my car system, both are up to date. Thanks. Was working well until speed camera alerts stopped working - now audible speed camera alerts no longer work, I still get a banner across the bottom of the screen but no audible alert despite all settings saying I should get the alerts. I hope this gets fixed.

I love this app, I always joke that it's my favorite and most used app. It works smoothly with my car's display screen and is so helpful for any traveling. I like that it's interactive, in real time, and 98% accurate. It makes my long work commute more enjoyable and relaxing knowing what the road ahead looks like. I highly recommend to everyone.

I find all the different options to report incidents very useful. I would like to see two more options added. The first would be the ability to report fast flowing or light traffic after a traffic jam. Often times the map still shows heavy traffic for a big stretch when in reality you have passed the traffic jam and the flow of traffic has been restored. The second option would be the ability to report when you are stuck at a railroad crossing.

Been using ways for several years and it used to be my go-to, over Google Maps and my car sat nav. Even recommended to friends. However, recently I've been very disappointed with the app. It's navigating routes that are taking longer than they should, not recognising no entry roads, taking me on motorways unnecessarily. No idea what you guys have done and I'm not impressed. If it doesn't improve soon I'll be uninstalling.

For an app that's been out this long, there are some truly embarrassing issues. You can't preview voice options, navigating by voice only is risky and will cause you to miss turns because it announces too late, when searching for addresses, there's no zip code in the results, so if there are multiple results with similar names, have fun figuring out which one is your destination. There are just so many minor issues that literally don't have to exist 🤦🏿‍♂️. Always a frustrating experience.

Working well again now, the issues since my previous review have been fixed. I am however now experiencing a new intermittent issue with the UK "Kate" voice. Sometimes she says "exeeet" instead of exit, she often pronounces "destination" with a French accent, and sometimes one of the other voices suddenly takes over from her mid sentence - not sure which other voice it is but it's another female voice and it still has Street names. I think Kate is feeling a bit under the weather! 🤣

Misspeaks when used thru Android Auto... When using Waze thru AA, the voice maneuvers only speak the distance ("In one mile...", "In 900 feet...", etc). The ONLY time the full maneuver is said is at the actual maneuver. This has been a problem for years on two phones. If Waze is used standalone on the phone, it speaks correctly. For this reason only, I use Google maps for navigation (AA wired to the car).

I have been using Waze for 8 years, and it's my preferred navigation. BUT, recently Waze appears to be incompatible with Android auto. The result is the screen in my car going completely black, with our the ability to use other apps on the screen. I need to force quit Waze from my phone to correct the issue. I am now using Google Maps, but I want my Waze back! (Note the app is fine, until connected with a hard line into my car)

This app has lost it's shine. Full of bugs. Doesn't show estimate time of arrival(ETA), so I reinstall the app. After reinstalling it, "sign-up later" button does not work. Reinstalled the app 3 times and still facing the issue. Also having connection issues at time when my internet is perfectly fine and fast (tested by running high resolution YouTube videos). I moving back to Google maps if its not resolve fast and it continues to introduce new and serious bugs.

I had lower the stars to 3/5. On my lastest trips I have been struggling with the position blue arrow to follow my car/position. Once I map my trip, the arrow freezes on the same place even while driving. Imagine trying to get from a difficult place with lots of exits and you rely entirely on your Waze to choose the correct one...well that's have been a MAJOR issue for me as I've mistakenly taken the wrong exit multiple times and not to mention reroutes of 15-30 extra minutes.

Great app for navigation but when its in error mode it is a nightmare to fix! Bad Waze has spotty coverage on long trips or in heavy traffic. Reroutes are long and often take longer to get to destination. Lots of advertising while driving you can't see the screen or click out of. Not good! BAD WAZE!!

I usually use Google maps and now have maps in my car so I don't use Waze that much. I tried it out again the other day and while some things look cleaner in the app there are some regressions. The inability to hide the search bar at the bottom, especially in landscape mode is a real problem. One that apparently has been around for over 2 years. I want a passive mode where I do not need to enter a destination.

Great, until it's not. As long as I only have one destination and set it before I get rolling, it's great. Not being able to use voice search through Android Auto to change/add a destination is a huge drawback over Google Maps. Losing connection on long trips with spotty coverage is also a PITA because again, it won't let you do much while moving.
