the new updated version is bloated with entirely too much animation and flash. It sacrifices functionality for what try's too hard to be smooth. I've tried hard to like it, but I just can't. I'll give it another month and I'll make the switch back to channel 4. also, the constant bugs with the incessant notifications for every single update is maddening. i don't want to ignore all of them but it won't matter in a month when I will probably be forced to delete this app.
Never works. Overloaded with ads Every time you switch to full-screen, you have to watch another ad. Often times it doesn't even work. But, you have to watch the ad first before you find out that it doesn't work. Being as in how everybody watches stuff on the internet now and they are a new station, you would think they would put a little bit more into their app. Very disappointing.
Always informative. Easy to navigate. All the important info in one stop when I can't watch the news.
while the station itself is great I uninstalled due to having to turn off the top news alerts constantly bc you get fifty a day. I'd turn off the alerts and five minutes later there would be another popping back through. don't provide an option to turn something off and then completely ignore your user's preferences.
app was recentaly updated, it is a step backwards. It is slow to open, and has lag when you scroll and click links, and freezes. And the overall format is harder to navagate. it needs a bit of tweaking.
They finally fixed the app -- kind of. But they need to drop the ad for Custom Carpets. It cuts in every single time you open the app to watch the news which causes you to miss part of the news story.
Can't read any stories. You can click on an article and that's as far as you can go. Then it takes a few tries to even back out of the app. Even tried uninstalling and installing again. Was fine until recently.
I don't like the ads that keep popping up! Sometimes it's hard to find an article that I'm interested in that came up on my feed. Otherwise, I enjoy the options to click on different items on the site!
You bit off more than you could chew. Too confusing to navigate. A concise site map easy to understand would have been more appropriate. Disappointing. Better luck next time.
To me, there is only 1 news channel, and that is...2!! 2/3/2020 And here it is 4 years later, and my #1 go to news channel is still WGRZ!!👍👏😀 Their new Playstore App. is fantastic, the cover picture is awe inspiring, and it reminds me daily why I am so lucky to live in Buffalo, NY. Runs just as slow as the old app. Why can wkbw channel 7 run so much faster. They also have a much simpler news format and can easily review days prior news info. Way too many ads. Wgrz is too fancy, too slow.
For the latest news or updates I clip on the app with no problem.
Love the Daybreak crew and love that I can watch them through the app when I am away from my tv.
gives me less news and a lot of what I don't want. I don't use it as much as before and now this apps last update is making my phone freeze up and forcing apps to close. Got rid of it, now my phone is working great.
Doesn't have a free trial b/c the app itself is free. This app is great for checking on news bulletins that are on the main screen of a cell phone.
Not quite sure who designed this app but I'm sure they could work for NASA. Unless you are looking for a top story, good luck. I gave up looking for the Unsolved videos you advertise on your podcast.
Terrible! Slow! 30 sec ads before EVERY 1-2 min stupid news clip. Pop up ads. I see no live news options, which is why I got this. #PlutoTV. Just wanted local news. Deleting now.
Bloated with ads. I love that I can get news through the app, but there are way too many ads. I also think that there should be a comment section for each individual news article.
Terribly repetitive, lots of very "stale" stories that appear on the app for days. Not very user friendly. Very disorganized.
My family has always watched channel 2. I've tried other news teams, but WGRZ is the best. Fantastic people, accurate and don't embellish or sensationalize events. Precise, down to earth. Most of all the Greatest team on TV!!! Wish they would bring Brian W. back....
Need real time temperature and humidity
Nice. I like that local headlines are in one place with a written version of the story and you don't necessarily have to view each video to get the important points.
A great app for local news in Buffalo. its got everything I need all in one place. I really like that I can customize what I get notified about. Great job! Keep it up!
There are just way too many ads on this app. It becomes frustrating to read a story in its entirety. Put the ads at the end of each story
Fast loading is primary. News relevant to the time and organization of articles is as important. Yes, I like and recommend WGRZ to all in WNY and those who have ties back to this piece of geography.
Dont waste your time with this app slow refresh rate (sluggish) and there is no interaction meaning they just serve you the "news" without anyone able to comment. Would be nice to be able to have discussions about topics.
Was 5 stars dropped it to 2 because the need for extra ads when you start the stream on a program with commerical breaks is annoying
Channel 2 has a much better format and layout then Channel 4, which had always been my go to station in the past. Not any longer...it has become too difficult to navigate on Channel 4. Very tiring to look at now!
