Right off the bat, asks you to login with email or Facebook, so this app forces you do give it access to personal data to play. Think it very carefully if you grant it access to your profile or email, because apps like that don't just want a way to login - they can read a lot of your personal data. Wouldn't recommend anyone to log in with it. Terrible.

Invasive ads force 30 seconds viewing, multiple clicks to close, trick you to click open ads, or else pay $10/mo to remove the ads. The target area to close the ads is too small. Sometimes there is more than one X and if you click the wrong one it opens the ad. I probably click open at least 3 ads per day against my will. Game freezes regularly, sometimes waiting for ads to load. Haven't tried ad-free to see how much that improves game freezing.

The game itself is okay. But the dictionary accepts words like da because it means district attorney. I wish they used a better dictionary. And it's way too many ads, and the only way to get rid of them is to pay a monthly subscription at around 11 dollars. It ruins it. I rather pay 5 to 10 dollars as a one payment instead of subscription and I think many others would too. I guess the app maker just gets too much money from the ads so they intend to keep it that way.

Game is fun, but this game puts so many ads and popups and level up info, and new items, and new things to buy, and random people to play with, and random solo match popups, that it's a lot of effort to actually be able to play. Many ads are 30 seconds long. Some have no close boxes, or ones at the absolute edge of the screen so it's nearly impossible to touch. Subscription to take out ads is $10 EVERY MONTH. Absolutely not worth.

I enjoy playing word games, but the ads in this app make it very frustrating. There are far too many, and often when you hit the 'x' to get back to the game it starts downloading some unwanted program. Also, several times an ad has appeared that doesn't contain an x to minus out of it or simply freezes and nothing you tap does anything. You have to go into your settings and do a force stop to even resume the game.

This game is fun but way to many 30 second video ads in between each play. I don't mind the 5 second ads and I'll view them, but when the 30 second video ads come on, forget it. Also many of the 30 second ads are corrupt and take you to the Google play store instead of back to the game when you hit the X to close it, with the only option is to close everything and go back into the game which is so annoying. Also they've gone WOKE and don't allow many words, even when they're in the dictionary.

Great in theory, obnoxious app. The game itself is a lot of fun and well put together. The adverts between games are a little annoying, especially given the premium price is so high to remove them, but they aren't terrible. The random additional gimmicks on top of the adverts, however, are extremely frustrating and ruin what could be a decent 4* game. Constant pop ups when you're trying to play your matches both in the form of adverts + many gimmicky rewards that aren't logical.

I like playing with friends and opponents. I have a Major issue with playing the solo challenges against the game. A lot of times when you get to the harder players the game cheats and gives you all vowels or none at all. Wanting you to spend your coins on features they have (they have raised the "coin" cost as well). It gets very frustrating to the point of uninstalling the game and never playing again.

For the first month or so, the ads on the free version were only 5 or 10 seconds long, which I think is reasonable and tolerable. Now the ads are all about 30 seconds long after every move. I understand ads are how they support the free version, but that is way too many ads for me. If you don't mind high ad content during the game, you will like this free app. However, I will be deleting it.

The actual game play is good, and I love being able to challenge friends. However, the adds are sometimes overwhelming in their frequency and poorly implemented. Some require you to close and reopen the game just to get the add to close, because the button to close it stays obscured no matter how long you wait.

There are some glitches when you're playing the solo challenge games. You watch a video so that you can play more, but it doesn't always load the game after you're done watching the video, so you still don't get to play more until the time is up. Also, there are some issues with the quick play games where you play one other opponent for speed. Sometimes the game locks up, and you can't continue, so you have to quit the game, which loses you a star. Just plain WWF is great!

I was loving this app and using it for months to keep half dozen or so games going with friends. There were ads but it was manageable but now after one or two words an ad pops on that will not go away requiring me to get completely out of the app and starting over from scratch. I'll have to figure out another way to interact with my friend, maybe we can play wordle and text each other with the results. I hope the developers realize there are other games that are free or without endless ads.

The ads are overwhelming. There never used to be this many. If you have music, or background audio from another app playing while you enjoy the game, it's muted after every single turn due to ads. It's $9.99 a month, A MONTH to turn off ads. That's more than most streaming services.

Game issues: You need to stop wasting my data with the size of your advertisements! It hasn't even been a month and Words has wasted almost 1GB of my data. Ridiculous and unacceptable. Terrible load time for what should be a very very low resource intensive game. Constant interruptions in with UI due to award and prize announcements. Very intrusive. Such things should be simply indicated at the top of the screen as a smaller banner notice.

Rarely see the Word of the Day. Smart Match rarely offers an opponent who actually plays a game. The app is so power hungry that it causes my phone to overheat and my phone closes the app. Now it's telling me it's time to upgrade, but clicking on the link just sends me to Google Play where I'm offered only two choices, "Uninstall" and "Play", with no "Upgrade" choice. I uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. Left then returned to Google Play and "Update" was finally showing. Seems to be ok

Ads are awful...the ad bar resets the screen when it changes even though you are in the middle of spelling a word. And today the game had a flashing freak out; made me sick. I'm sure it could easily set off someone who get seizures from that stuff. Needs to be fixed. And yes the ads are purposely hard to close.

Unless a player has actually started the game and made his/her initial moves and then stalled the game in progress beyond an agreed or set time period, should every other extended stoppage or non-srart not rather be considered an abort rather than a loss gifting the victory to the other player. I have sometimes "lost" games without even starting them. Win stats, although not critical, do get distorted in this manner. I often need to simply play just to avoid the loss against my name...!!!

If "Errors Per Session" isn't already a benchmark for software, Zynga should claim it for the current version of this game. I wish the developers could hear me cursing them every time their software does something stupid, like disconnecting me in the middle of a match, with a screen message like "oops.. something went wrong". On their end, things go wrong all the time, but do they give me a rematch? No. The gameplay is slowed down by pointless dumb animation sequences that add nothing but bloat.

SO MANY ADS!! After each play your stuck with Ads, sometimes I have to exit the game because there's no "X" to press and if there is one it's like three to press before getting back to your game. Super annoying, don't remember it being this bad. Fun but the ads take it away.

I've been playing for years.love to be able to chat with my family. There is an ad after every game. So annoying. Most times you have to exit out and come back in. This takes way many of waisted hours. Please stop. My mom doesnt have any adds. Go figure. Thanks! I turn off all check Mark's in settings except for chat and tiles

It has a lot of ads for low quality apps or games. The ads looked perverted in the past; maybe they cleaned that up. It is fun nonetheless. I like to play Word Rivals but it often experiences glitches. I wish there were more tickets.

Too many faults. The one on wine games still work well. Everything else has faults. Fast play kicks you out of games, and currently it just won't even start. Rival games freeze or don't even start.

Latest updates-LAGS on older androids. At least 5 secs before app responds when clicking on a game, +5 after playing a word, +5 when hitting a goal, +5 when you click on next game, +5 when it tells me someone is online or played a word (don't care!). +25 secs to play a game? Claim rewards bug-go in twice to claim. Give Android option back to turn off player notifications like I used to have and iOS users have! Glitch when people send msg in message app or chrome is open WWF/Chrome ad conflict?

I loose time when I play. great way to escape from day to day worries. I reciently was playing when a pop up offer came in, i chose the not now option and the next thing i see is a thank you for my purchase!! Now ive been getting the run around between google, apple and zynga ( i think thats the right spelling). None of them want to give me my 10 bucks back. Now if they did this to me and 100 more people, that would be $1010 or how about 100000 people that would be $1,000,000.. its still theft!

I really enjoy the game but at the moment the 'DriveScore' advert ruins it. There is no way to delete it once it is finished as it is too large for the smart phone screen. Have to leave the game each time and go on to something else. Very irritating.

Don't get on a long winning streak. They will do everything to make you break the winning streak like feed you all vowels or no vowels; mostly 1 point letters; multiple tiles of the same letter over and over again; and when all that fails, it will dump letters like Z,Q,Y,P,M at the end of the game when there is no place to play them. So all in all if you are a beginner or intermediate player, it's fine. Just do not get on a long winning streak of 10 games or more.
