I was really happy with the app at the beginning so I purchased the option to remove ads as well as the body stats option. It worked for a while than suddenly stopped working. As returned and I can no longer access the body stat option. Tried contacting the developer and so far no response It's fine to use the free version of this app but do not do any in app purchase
Have used this for over two years. Has a few good beginner programs but the ability to add programs is great. The only thing I've ever experienced that would make it any better would be the ability to adjust the timer based on individual lift (like my custom workout has some lifts with a 3 minute rest, some 90 seconds). Other than that one thing, it's solid, always works, easy to navigate.
Overall, I really like working with this app. However, I just lost all my workout history after a phone factory reset. Not only does it not automatically backup data, but it can't read my manual backup! It claims the backup was successful, but none of the data populates. Those problems should be remedied. Also, it would be nice if it talked to Google fit and the e1RM math didn't get so out of hand for higher reps. Otherwise, customizing exercises and workouts is great! The pricing structure is super reasonable! *Response to Developer: I did the default PPL with edits, so only the original PPL shows up. And for specific exercises that were the same in both the default and my version, the logs are still blank.
Having an issue with the recent update. I can't hear the notification sound when the timer is up anymore. Sometimes it won't even vibrate. It was working fine before the update. Both options are selected in the tiner settings. Would also be nice if there was a way to choose the timer notification sound and volume in the app. Might try a different app if this doesn't get fixed.
Rock solid simple weightlifting app. Has everything you need and nothing you don't. I'd recommend it to anyone. Only thing I'd like to see changed: when viewing a workout log, the exercises seem to be listed in a random order, it'd be great if they were listed in order of completion or if there was an option to sort or re-order so we could review workouts more easily.
It seems like it doesn't matter wether you select "Workouts," "Programs," or "Exercises" - they all function identical. You select the excercise/s you just finished doing, punch in the weight and reps and keep repeating for each set and exercise. Then repeat all the next day. I thought you were supposed to be able to setup workout programs (which exercises, reps, weights) and then click a box or something to notify the app that that particular set was just completed. This app seems like it's more of just a log you fill out each time you workout. It'a great for that though and the stats are great. SUGGESTION: It would be great if we could see stats on the same screen you punch in your sets. For example, being able to see the total volume of each individual set and also the total volume for that particular exercise as a whole for that day without having to go to a convoluted stats page would be brilliant.
I've tried a lot of workout apps, and this has the right mix of features and simplicity. It seems to be designed by someone who actually uses it.. My only feedback is I know my routines in my head, and don't care to create a default one, as this app requires. I easily worked around this by deleting all of them, and creating a routine called "none" with nothing in it. Then I just recorded exercises as I did them.
So far, I really love all the features of this app. I like that you can look through the type of workouts and it shows which muscles you're working out with each workout. This app is awesome for a newbie like me who isn't very familiar with workout plans or even how to use some machines. I also really like the calendar features so I can go back and see what I was doing on one day vs the next. One thing I wish would be added is the ability to upload progress photos from your gallery.
Perfect app for my needs. Not bloated with unnecessary "social media" features. Simple, neat interface for a person who works out and just needa to log his/her workouts and compare progress (through visualisation). Unlike other apps, the visualisation feature is free, which is mainly why I use this app over others. Kudos to the developers, for the amazing app as well as the timely replies to feedback and bug reports!! :)
Great app. However, there isn't a way to completely reset the app if needed. Due to an injury and being a long hauler on covid, I wish I could get the original workouts back I have modified and start fresh again. I reached out through email first and never received a response.
Great app! I think a great idea would be to add a short timestamp indicator below or to the right of reach rep. Something like "15:06:23". So far I've had to add a note for how long I've tested between each rep. This feature would be easy and I feel, would greatly enhance an already awesome app! Also would be great to have a rest timer/countdown.
Overall, its an excellent app. It's very flexible & customizable. I realize you can create custom Workouts and Programs...Been learning it only since yesterday and have two requests/suggestions...1) in the *logs*, enable the order of the excercises to be changed by dragging them up or down (so in order of how you want to do them), and 2) enable copying of the *logs* (rather than just moving)...this would be more flexible to repeat the same workouts on different dsys. Thanks.
I use this app alot and i loved it. Easy to make and customize workoits. great progress and stat checker. that is until the update yesterday. everytime you record a set the app closes forcing you to reooen it get back to your program and exercise. amd the timer doesnt work anymore. please fix. i would hate to find a new fitness tracker.
Decent app, love how simple and easy to use it is. Though the app design is starting to show its age. Would really love the inclusion of sets and target reps. Also, would suggest that when adding an exercise, that exercise is added to currently selected program and not the default program.
I've been using this app for several years and it has been very useful. However I am no longer able to change dates even though it gives you the option to do so. I contacted the developer regarding this issue but I received no reply so it's possible the app is no longer supported which is a big negative considering I purchased the full version!
Suggestion to programmer at bottom. Slim, simple, efficient, doesn't get in the way of working out. Great if you know how what you're doing and need a simple tracker, not a trainer-in-an-app. Suggestions: workout order persistence. when copying workout to another program, then reordering said workout within program, the new order order does not persist after changing screen. Also would be nice to select "day 1, day 2" etc instead of days of the week, for shorter or longer than 1 week cycle
Been using it for 3 years, very good app, I have 1 suggestion and 1 problem. Suggestion: the ability to add custom photos for an exercise for eg the photo of a gym machine. Problem: when I try to save the backup locally I get the error "backup to device failed".
App seems well thought out in a lot of ways, but is definitely in need of some tweaks and polish. Looking at the app info it looks like the last update may have been in 2019, which makes me wonder whether this app is still actively maintained. The provided link for the website is not accurate. It would be unfortunate if this app were to be permanently abandoned, because it has several features that are difficult (if not impossible) to find in other fitness apps, paid or otherwise.
