Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming is a world acclaimed master of Tai Chi and Qigong, and he personally guides you through a series of easy-to-follow Tai Chi movements. Dr. Yang's tai chi lineage can be traced back to the Yang family through Grandmaster Kao, Tao (高濤) and his teacher Yue, Huanzhi (樂奐之), an indoor disciple of Yang, Chengfu (楊澄甫).

This free app gives you free videos, and offers an opportunity to get the full Part 1 video at the lowest possible cost. Now you can practice Master Yang's popular Tai Chi exercises using your phone or tablet. This is a convenient training tool you can bring anywhere, to access this amazingly powerful exercise whenever it fits best into your day.

After learning from your free videos, you may access the full-length program with a single in-app purchase. In the videos, Master Yang will teach you Part One of the Yang Style Tai Chi form. Students will often spend years repeating this section, before moving on to Parts 2 and 3.

Whether you are a beginner or a Tai Chi master already, these amazing exercises offer the perfect combination of relaxation and full-body exercise. You'll enjoy reduced stress, a stronger immune system, and a deeper awareness of breath and body coordination.

Tai Chi, or Taiji, is short for Tai Chi Chuan, or Taijiquan, which translates from Chinese to “Grand Ultimate fist”. Tai Chi is an internal-style Chinese martial art that can be traced back to the Chen family, the Daoists at Wudang mountain, and ultimately to Shaolin Temple.

"The Harvard Medical School Guide to Tai Chi" says: "regular practice leads to more vigor and flexibility, better balance and mobility, and a sense of well-being…Tai Chi also has a beneficial impact on the health of the heart, bones, nerves and muscles, immune system, and the mind."

When practiced slowly for health purposes, Tai Chi is a type of Qigong. Qi-Gong means "energy-work". Qigong (chi kung) is the ancient art of building the body's Qi (energy) to a higher level and circulating it throughout the body for rejuvenation and health. Some Qigong is practiced sitting or standing still, while other Qigong can be a kind of moving meditation. This gentle Qigong exercise is a highly effective way to reduce stress, increase energy, enhance healing, and generally improve your quality of life.

Qigong increases the quantity of energy in the body and improves the quality of your circulation through energy pathways, known as meridians. Qigong is sometimes called "acupuncture without needles."

Similar to yoga, Qigong can stimulate the entire body deeply with low-impact movement and develop a stronger mind/body connection. The slow, relaxed movements are widely recognized for their health benefits, strengthening the internal organs, muscles, joints, spine, and bones, and developing abundant energy.

Qigong can be effective in helping people with insomnia, stress-related disorders, depression, back pain, arthritis, high blood pressure, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, bioelectric circulatory system, lymphatic system, and digestive system.

You get 3 videos free that aren't instructions, they're only telling you about the art, you have to pay 10.88 CAD for the actual instructions about leaning the art, it's not free. Not many ads at least.

Simple and also very detailed. The videos are easy to follow any yet there is a lot of practical knowledge contained therein. It would be easy for me to watch a video multiple times to work on various aspects of each movement.

I've just downloaded this, some free videos telling you all about it then it cost £5.88 to unlock the lessons, that's all you pay on this app, no monthly subscription, if it had have been I would have deleted it, I shall be buying more if I manage to do this, couldn't be more happy 😁

Does not function. Says confirm email, probably to send you spam, and then it sits there loading and never does anything.

Kri. T. Apr 6, 2022

Soon as I open this app it asks me to confirm email and I put my email that I have had since 2012 and your app says my email is wrong... no never wrong I'm Rome.

Only an overview of what tai chi is. Absolutely no lessons are free so can't even get a feel for it. False advertising which must be bad for your internal balance Dr Yang, surely? had you been honest i might have taken a chance on purchasing the first lesson. Uninstalling.

I Now understand why some people have such a healthy style of living regrettably the only reason I'm uninstalling this app is because of the space on my phone this one is definitely a keeper thank you, I'm sure in time I will download this again:-)

Chr. H. Nov 3, 2018

Had this app since beginning of August. Changed devices & it's now wanting me to pay more money to unlock videos. I refuse to spend money again.

This is a truly fantastic app.One which is highly informative and very intensive in its approach.Dr Yang is a brilliant teacher and quite clearly a master of his craft.Even though i am at the beginning of my journey in Tai Chi i know i am in good hands. For anyone complaining about having to pay.It is incredibly disrespectful. You are clearly not serious about learning Tai Chi.And on top of this it is such a small amount bearing in mind you are being tutored by a master.

Car. P. Nov 4, 2020

It says it includes an hour of free video. Nope, only 36 minutes of instruction. I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to work with only that much. Update: Please stop gaslighting every reviewer who complains about the app for any reason. I'm honestly sorry if I was rude in how I expressed my opinion, but I don't appreciate the way you talked to me just now.
