YouNow: Live Stream Video Chat

I've gained a lot of fans by broadcasting a bunch for years. This app is a great broadcasting platform that you need to get to know, there is so many communities and it is all around the world. It is 13+ and up, and if you see anything you can flag/report and the mod team will review. Overall if you trend you can gain an audience and find a friend or two. Even if learning different languages, wanting to see singing, gaming or just chatting. ❤️

I love this app however some days it won't let me stream it will load and load over and over... I can watch streams but not make my own. If you can fix this it deserves 5 stars! (If you're having loading problems just delete it and redownload it it fixes it every time)

Good app that allows to make money but my only issue is that I changed my profile pic and username twice and it doesn't show on stream or home page that I did. Please fix this asap

I'm leaving because yall have downgrade the app and the ability to view others profile is extremely difficult. The view count is extremely inaccurate. Yall mix in other category with 1 category letting guys in girls category. So yeah I'm leaving. Bye

Only works with the selfie camera and on Landscape mode only , unlike TikTok which uses Portrait mode to make videos or go live with the option to use rear camera

App wouldn't load Just stay on the green screen with the loading circle spinning. Updated app and same thing. No point in producing a product if people can't use it. What a waste of time and effort.

All of the so called "fans" keep on asking me the same thing "what's your favorite movie"," what's your favorite game", what's your favorite this that and the third like are they even real or are they bots because this is ridiculous

Great place to meet people! I've met some of the best friend I have in the whole world here. Not a place to get famous, or rich, buta good place to find people with common interest, beliefs, and goals. You can find everything from music, games, contest and all other kinds of fun!

So it's a cool app. Although, sometimes the app will just suspend or ban you for no reason, so you have to contact younow to reactivate. It is worth it but it can take a while. Also, if you're a completionist, you basically have to spend money to get some badges, and you have to pay gold bars (which also cost money) to give likes. You can use the daily streak for bars, but max you can buy with them is usually 400 likes. Also, why does the fan mail cost like 200 bars? That's way too expensive!

They found a way to make a wide range of gifts you send to broadcasters boring and predictable. Certain larger gifts used to give a surprise number of likes within a certain range and now they've changed it to a set number for each. The Free Spin will never give the broadcaster more than 50 Likes (usually 10) now that all users are able to earn. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it's one of the factors that made gifting, unique, fun and special on this platform.

Bad development, it's easy to take your account from you, and people can stay log-in in your account even if you change the password, that's big mistake must be fixed, if you don't have the password automatically should log out.

I used to be a big fan I been using this app since 2016 but recently the daily bars stop working for me and my diamonds are frozen I have reached to you now support twice they have not responded to me I think I have like over 600 bars from daily log in that I can't use also my dimanonds are frozen

Terrible app. They decide to freeze my account, and I wasn't able to use the bars I bought with my own money. Don't invest any money buying anything there, they will keep the money.

For some reason younow disabled my account for purchasing bars I can't buy any it only gonna say 'purchase for this account is disabled'.

Some broadcasts are very loud and younow doesn't allow you to lower the volume past a certain point. For some reason it uses the call volume slider and not the normal media slider. It's not coded properly. There's also no option to delete your younow account (at least not on the app) so even if u delete the app your profile still lives there forever along with whatever social media you attached. Prepare for strangers to add your social media. User privacy doesn't seem to be a concern for younow.

I have problems guesting ppl or even guesting with others on their stream. I keep getting kicked off from the stream. I tried everything including reinstalling the app and it's not working. What is needed to be done now?.

I purchased 1.99 500 bars twice. Only received 500 bars but was charged both 1.99 fees. I either need my bars or a refund. I will update when this issue is solved.

If you are looking for a community based and interactive experience, I would say 100% check this app out. I've been on younow for 5 years and I honestly haven't found anything like it. For the friendships I made and the connections all over the world, I love it. With all the hard work I put in, I just celebrated my one year partnership this year! The new update have downgraded a bit when it comes to the app on tablet. Screen area while wider on the sides get cut off from the top and bottom and seems like it's zoomed in more, unless there's an option to zoom out. Overall younow isn't bad but the update needs more work and should've been tested better before release.

I was looking for a substitute for the Periscope app for the longest time and after trying so many , I found YouNow and it's as good, and in so many ways much better. Thank You YouNow.

Great idea, better than most other streaming apps. But they need to optimize the platform for performance efficiency. Takes way too many resources and glitches all the time. Anyone without a perfect connection cant load half the streams. And when people guest, forget it, dont even try.

I hate the new interface, I miss the good old days when the broadcater had to be good enough for the stream to be a good broadcast, but now that they get to bring in 4 people it takes the focus off the broadcaster. Split screen was bad enough with one person, but now 4! Also you can no longer send single likes through your phone so i feel like I'm being pressured to spend money if i want to send likes and I hate that! 😪 i guess I'll just go back to using Live.ly again

Why does the app keep freezing forever, it used to not freeze and buffer like that, if it did buffer it wouldent do it again for a few hours, tho i do see some buffering comes with brodcasting sometimes. And at times it sounds like the people are robots, i wouldn't recommend it to anyone, it will just keep freezing forever, unless you keep refreshing every 60 seconds.

I like the idea but its very frustrating that I can't pick what camera is being used to livestream. I want to use my back camera not my front. Can this be done?

I didn't even realize there was an update so the A glitch or bug one of the other once I go on a tag specifically that I wanna choose it goes on to another like it's not involved in that category at all if yall can't see that then idk

I only downloaded this app because a YouTuber I follow uses it for live broadcasts. The first time I watched a broadcast, the audio was horribly choppy and when I tried to join a broadcast just now, there was no audio whatsoever. Attempting a hard reset (ie uninstalling and reinstalling the app), but have little faith in your app and your organisation. If anyone is reading this review from the UK on a device from Tesco Mobile, save yourself the time and hassle and choose a different app.

How long has this app been available? It seems like whoever made it just totally dropped it and moved on because the UI looks ancient. The camera quality is worse than any other streaming app. Most streaming apps nowadays guve you the choice to switch to HD. Also it's one of the LEAST interactive apps. It feels so PLAIN and boring to use. I don't like Live.Me but it's obviously better than this. It's 2018 you need to put effort into an app if it is going to be the number one streaming app. I would appreciate feedback and plz update the ui. I can help guve you ideas if you need some ideas. I'm not an app developer but it's been available for too long to not have HD broadcasting and an updated UI.
