App does not work on versions of Android newer than Jelly Bean. Developer has not updated the app since 2013, so it is abandonware. This does not speak well for the developer, Lookout Mobile Security. I would not trust Lookout's flagship antivirus app.
Continuously Crashes unable to use. Useless
1.) Unable to assign apps for auto kill. i.e. black list or white list. Problem being, as soon as you kill it, immediately comes back demanding even more resource then before. 2.) Customize the number of processes one app is allowed, and be able to specify which process you prefer the app to run. few other reasons as well, but too petty and small to mention in this forum. Just like most but haven't really had the chance to even figure it out yet a and it's already asking me for my opinion. Wissh some of these apps would art least give you a bit to use the app. Then ask. But I trust lookout and it at recommended by them. So it must be ok and work correctly
This app is so amazing. This app helps my android go a lot faster then EVER this app is awesome everyone should get it. It will ZAP THE APPS THAT you're not using and that slows it down but then it ends the slow app and you're android gets faster and lives longer and stays fast
I'm sorry but if its not pulling up processes that tells me there's a bad glitch in this app it should not be taking all day to show a list. I had it open and it drained my charge from 100 percent to 99 in less then a few sec after a full charge i had just unplugged it. I don't see the benefits of having it my avast does better.
Graph shows 100% cpu. Every app in list is 0% except Zapper which is 20%. There isn't any way to protect apps. I try to just select a few apps to kill and before I can tap kill they are all unchecked. I have a problem with something I installed using all of my cpu for about an hour each morning and this can't help me find it.
For this kind of application when i open i expect a kill button. But i see "select all" button instead. Finding the setting option is also not so quick. I could not observed much performace improvement. As others also notified, user should be able to disable the zap sound. Periodic Auto kill should also be there.
Android has an infuriating habit of opening apps in the background for no reason at all, and it hates to remove anything from memory once it gets in there. Better than any other task manager, this shows me what's going on, letting me stop apps AND tasks. Now, if only it would stop Android from starting this mess in the first place!
It is impossible for me to rate this app. I was unable to select applications from the list that I wanted to shut down versus ones I do not wish to. Every time I selected something the entire screen would change the check marks would be removed and there was nothing I could do about it. Maybe it works maybe it's doesn't. But because I was unable to make any selections I will never know.
I use this app often to help save the battery on my phone and it's been great. My biggest annoyance with this app is the sound it makes when you kill the apps. Even in silent mode it still plays. I would like the option to turn it off. 4 out of 5 stars until it is fixed.
I don't understand what this app is for. The apps you kill pop right back up like Amazon stuff. When you select all it's not possible to deselect one by itself, they all get unselected. Sometimes you select one individually and when the app refreshes it gets unselected again. The app looks good that's why I give it 2 stars but it's useless. Notice developer is silent here. O and they have pop ups wanting you to rate it 5 stars. NOT! 1 million people downloaded this? 1 million are being fooled. Uninstalling.
It works, but it's difficult to find a task, as there's no option to sort tasks by name. The list is always resorting, perhaps by CPU usage. Which is a problem when picking a task to kill, as it may change list position while you're picking it, and you can kill the wrong task. It would also be helpful to search by name, show a kill history (to kill again), and be able to turn off the zap sound.
This is definetly one of best apps I found so far does exactly what you want it to do so glad I downloaded it . I will never go without this app again I just had to purchase new phone and first thing I did was install zapper & lookout I can not live without them both. I now feel safe once again on my galaxy S4 phone .Thank You Team Lookout.
I quite often felt that my tablet was running slower than usual and had to go a long way round to figure out why. This app easily identifies what apps and services are currently running and shows what memory and process speed it is using - if it's not needed zap it, it's great.
If there's a way to actually shut off the sound and vibration on this app that occurs whenever you use it, I have not found out how. Super irritating, couldn't even use this app long enough to determine if it would've helped my battery life and phone performance
Great app i use it every day. We all want to be efficient, maximizing our resources, making sure things are running well, especially when talking about our EIE, Electronic Interface Ensemble. This is a great tool for ensuring just that, clearing away poorly written vampire apps that just sit there and eat up resources. I recommend it.
Samsung galaxy, won't let me use this app anymore. On android 12', they say it has a bug in it. But I've been using this app for 5 +years and it has been working fine. Maybe it's just too old now but it was really good thanks to the Developers.
