Slick app and display. I like the opportunity to review proper form, and a focus on gradual muscle overloading. I think the challenge and the opportunity to redo the same level in the event the exercise is a bit tough. I was a bit irritated that every Zen app asked me to register and then stated the registration was unsuccessful. I tried multiple email ids without any success.
So far so good. I've tried the app two times now and it seems to be great so far, It ramos up the difficulty nicely and I feel I'm on my way to doing 20 pullups in a row. I bought the app since it's cheap, and it's solid. I just wish there was a chin up and dip version. Also, I wish the reminders had a set timer and notified me multiple times. Notifying me at 11PM isn't really motivating me to keep going. But at the very least I'm sure my own motivation will carry me from start to finish.
I like the design of the app, it's nice, easy to use. After 3 weeks of training I am developing tennis elbows, they are starting be painful. Increase in reps numbers is too steep, and if one needs to repeat almost every day at least twice, then the whole program would take much much longer than 6 weeks, assuming that progress is achievable and realistic.
they asked nicely for a review so here ya go! this is a great app, I've been using this and some of their others for a while and if you're like me and struggle with discipline then having a clear program to follow really helps, and the feeling of progression does as well. As for the app itself I've never had a problem with it, no glitches at all and a clean, simple to use UI. And I'm getting much stronger too! Thanks guys!
Seems like a solid app so far, I think alot of the negative reviews are centered around these workouts requiring two pullups on day one, you do have a progressions section, so I think making that more prominent might solve that issue. Also, I'd disagree with the NEVER use your thumb part of the tutorial, but that's besides things
great app and interface, but the workouts progress far too quickly. I need to repeat workouts several times before I can go to the next. also the set with the most reps is at the end. unless they have a reason for this, it is stupid. you are the most tired at the end when they want you to do the most reps.
You will occasionally reach sessions that you can't complete. Just redo that session the next time, or however many times it takes you to do it. Then you'll progress until you hit another one. But again, stay on that session until you conquer it. I find doing this MWF works best. Monday often is the breakthrough day after the 2 days off. This app has really helped me with significant muscle gains.
Simple and straightforward. I've only used it twice so far, but I plan to keep going with it. It breaks up the workout in intervals and gradually increases the challenge with each workout.
I can actually FEEL the muscle growth from following this plan. Working on negatives for now, but it had advice for that too. I plan to stick with this app. Only had a short add after you finish a workout, very user friendly.
I started with the reverse pull ups as suggested. My progress is fairly slow, but I'm certainly making good progress - from 0 pull ups to 5 solid ones in a row now. Aiming for the full 20.
Great for it's purpose of doing pullups
Nice UI, but very quick unrealistic progression. One can redo exercises twice to slow down progress to 16weeks. But this eats up the sense of achievement.
Great app for starting a new workout routine. I usually struggle with consistently sticking to a workout schedule, but this app has made it easy for me to establish a habit.
It's worth a dollar but its pretty crappy considering UX. Don't expect any settings for anything nor any audio feedback of your routine instructions. So much lost potential.
Progession is to quick. Even being able to do 3-5 pull ups to start and doing negatives after finishing the sets it advances to fast. Don't waste your time. Look up a good progession on google and go from there, adding in scapular pull ups and rows to help.
Great app! Clean clear interface. I purchased a pull up bar and was able to do double the amount of pull ups within a week and a half following this app.
Fine. To be honest I want to work up to more than 20 pull-ups (a), and the progression here takes you to 50 without a set of 20 (b), so I'm not really sure why the app is called 20 pull-ups! Ideally I'd like to do 100 pull-ups in 20 sets of 5... so I'll aim for that if and when I finish this!
Great app, originally. The latest update though makes it harder to use and the fact that I have to "Force Stop" the app after every use really drops the rating. The latest update turned this into a not very good app.
Excellent app, so easy to use. I use it in conjunction with the push-up, sit-up, and squat apps for full bodyweight workout.
Its great if u just need a reminder and help to keep up a proper amount of rest time. Its one size fits all though so if it works for you then bravo
It doesn't actually finish with 20 pull ups. It's like they never finished the app. They needed another 2 weeks of programming.
i like it so far. 100 push ups was good. still haven't completed a clean set of 100, but with many mid set breaks I have finished without putting my knee down.
Could be refined to accommodate beginners better since not everyone here can do 2 reps without stopping on their first day. Otherwise, pretty good. I find myself repeating days a lot since the incline of reps is pretty steep.
So far so good. It helps to have a guided routine. My only suggestion is to add the ability to set the time that you get a reminder for the workout.
Outstanding program. Started only being able to do a few pullups. Only week 2 and can do more than before. I love the slow increase each day
Day 3 and so far good. I struggle with pull ups, so I am starting with negatives as suggested. Slow and easy wins the game. Thank you.
The app is called 0-20, yet it expects users to do 9 pullups on the first day with no advice of how they should do it. This is very confusing to me, it does not seem helpull at all.
Straightforward and easy to use. Noticeable ads but easy to avoid clicking on
