I use 3 of these apps. They help me start back up, and keep going, when life gets busy.
The app is a very good motivator. I like the way it builds you up to more suitors situps over time. I've enjoyed using it. I even paid the small fee to make it ad free because I enjoy it so much. It's helping me with a little exercise program which is a great start for me! Update: I changed my review because I paid the small fee last year to remove ads. This year the ads are back. I contacted customer service. They were quick to respond, but still not helpful. I still have annoying ads.
It's very hard to get back into working out. This app is so helpful, it's an easy way back in and daily motivation texts keeps me going. I recommend this app to anyone who is trying to improve yourself and don't really have hours to hit the gym. Less than 10 mins but it feels great knowing your slowly getting to a better life, a better YOU.
Just like with the push-ups and squats you will definitely see results with this I suggest using all three for maximum results
If you need more than this get a personal trainer. Great app series.
It's a great app, but I have some criticisms: #1: there should be a cool down. #2: there should be longer rests on when you do more exercises and #3: there should be a longer warm up for more exercises. All in all, it is good! In answer to your questions, there are no notifications. I think the app crashed because my phone was not doing well, rather than the app having a problem
I like the progression of the amount of situps each time but it would be nice if the voice prompt would announce the number of situps in each set before you start them. I don't want to have to keep looking at my phone before each one. It's also not sinking with Google Fit even though the permissions have been given.
I'm enjoying using this app to build up on my sit-ups from the comfort of home. I like increase in reps from day to day; decent challenge but also achievable. One improvement I can see would be that the plan/timers don't reset back to the beginning when flicking between apps during the rest parts.
I like this app because it starts with the beginner levels and the levels start becoming more difficult. That is what I like about it. The one thing I dont like about it it need to increase the reps on the beginer levels. Otherwise is a great app to trained Yourself if You never did sit ups before. It is a fabulous app.
Awesome app!!I went from 15 situps to 100 in just a few weeks. Remember, you never "arrive" at some goal at which you can just stop. I made that mistake. Having never thought I'd reach 100 situps, I was deluded into complacency. A year later I'm back to almost square one. Starting over is great. But never quitting is far better. Now get up, and get some!
So far just started and getting through day 1. I'm a decently active person compared to the general population and just using this to give myself a little goal to help keep consistency throughout my day when I'm not at the gym working out. I would say this is a good app so far if you are completely starting your workout but none the less is good even for a person actively training. That way you can get some reps in during a commercial break or waiting for a game to load. Will update later as time goes by. One thing that would be good is a more proactive prompt reminder.
Paid to NOT remove ads. The 5 minute warmup is completely unnecessary. The gradual increase is good, though, and very helpful for people who "can't" do basic exercises anymore. I just wish they would stop turning the kiip/other ap ads back on every time I turn them off.
I really enjoy this program and the simplicity of the app. The only thing that would make it better is for the voice to say how many sit-ups to perform, so you don't have to check your phone every time. And it would be useful if we could snooze notifications. Some days I can't do the workout buy I would like to be reminded the following day or later the same day. It also would be very nice if the app didn't ask me to rate it every time I use it, even when I've already rated and reviewed it!
I love this app for the simplicity and the Ux. but, please add a way to manage the days to mark them complete also add a way to delete days without having to reset. the app is really good at making it easy to move forward but doesn't allow to delete a day if it was started at the wrong time
Good free app to get started and progress stronger doing specific exercises. This one is for sit-ups, I use the others Zen, apps for other exercises I'm beginning sit-ups, push-ups so far. It's nice to mark off 2 or 3 sit-ups then a timer for a minute or two until the next set. Adds a few more each training day and you can skip days to where you are in fitness level.
Excellent beginner ab workout for fast results. I'm having some sound issues (none at times) and some finishing problems (app says you're quitting). Other than that, I've done this workout before and I love the fast results!
60 years and 9 months, 92kg, 1.75m. Started this as an addition to my gym workout, along with their squat and push-up app. Have I now got abs, No. Have I lost weight because of it, No. Have I increased my endurance and flexibility, Yes. Did it challenge me, Yes. I did not expect to get abs, but it has helped firm up my stomach, thighs, and other areas. Overall I'm pleased with the app and encourage others to try it, from the beginning, even if you can do more than the app says each day. As for ads, they don't interfere with the enjoyment of using the app. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
If you find situps to be impossible, this app is the best. I have tried most of the other work up app as a beginner, most want me to do ten-fiftween pushups right off the bat, when I can bare get to five. So I advice as a newbie to try the whole Zen Series for yourself and be amaze at results.
great for work outs, only reason for 3 star, is the bloody advertising, the "x" button is tucked way up in the corner of the ad and is so small you will never be able to tap it. make the "x" bigger!!!
I am just starting to get exercise part of my daily life and doing the Zen challenge is how I'm starting. It is easy to do...to easy, but for me it's about completing it. So fantastic app because it has gotten me started.
Great app, can easily go from no level of fitness to a good level of fitness with tracked info, I also use the push-up trainer app by them. I got this one because I thought the other one was good... I am better at pushups though 😂
I really like the zen challenge series. The internals make the progressive increments reasonable and if they make it too easy you can always do your own. I'd welcome a plank challenge.
It is okay. I like that there is a warm up and time in between sets. However, if I don't want to take the full warm up or rest, I can't skip it. There isn't much to the app. It seems like the time intervals should at least be adjustable. I even paid to remove ads, so I kind of don't want to switch to another app.
I think that this app is very effective for beginners and can really help improve core strength and abdominal muscle. I strongly recommend this app to all those becoming interested in fitness.
It's worth a dollar but its pretty crappy considering UX. Don't expect any settings for anything nor any audio feedback of your routine instructions. So much lost potential.
Has helped me structure the workout. I like that it breaks it into pieces, helps me do more in total, and lets me do stretches for tight places during the rest periods.
As a fitness trainer, the best app for beginners for building a strong core foundation and build up your situps. Thank you. You guys are the best. Keep it up
