0m3ga Visual Novel Engine

It seems great, but I am honestly quite disappointed in how unusable it is (on my weirdly behaving phone). The StartScript.txt file (the one that begins your game) always ends up being copied as another file I'm editing, or totally erased. Even when I save this happens every few times my phone restarts this app (happens to every app every few minutes on my ASUS ZenFone V but most apps have been programmed to save progress despite this weird bug). I rewrote my project twice only to have it be totally destroyed once again. I can't keep frustrating myself like this. Best of luck to the developer. It's not totally their fault, hence the 4 stars, but I took 1 off anyway because of how it handles these crashes compared to other apps. This phone drives me crazy and I wish I knew why every app resets itself every few minutes.

its awesome, easy to use and amazing! would give this 5 stars but theres a few bugs including one that destroys EVERYTHING i made. i understand i shouldnt touch config.dat but sometimes even when i dont it still breaks. my scripts go all over the place and either they dont go on order anymore, or the words just repeat themselves over and over again. also please please fix the character picture code it zooms in too much and i dont know how to fix it or control the zoom and its very troublesome. ♥

Everytime when I save it and leave and come back, It deleted all my progress, and it keeps doing it!!!! :( UGH!!!! But it still had good graphics and not crashing, it just keeps deleting all my progress. So please fix this! If you don't, then the review goes to 1! By the way, this is my first time trying it! But anyways, please fix! If you do, than thanks! :)

Everything is fully functional and excellent, and to those who can't figure out how to insert music/images, go to your files and move the image/music file to the vne created file and then type the file name into the script and it should work. It was confusing to me at first but it's fair simple once you get the hang of it. Thank you for reading!

Okay, this App is pretty awesome and it's easy to create things out of scratch. BUuutt the only thing that really bums me out is that, There is no Portrait features, some of my characters are pretty stretch out wide in landscape. It would be really really great if you add the Portrait style in this App🙆😊😊😊

i like the app. It works really well in making Visual Novels. There is only one problem for me. When trying to add an image it says to save it to a specific file. when I was looking for the file I couldn't find it. If you could help me out ot chamge that to something simpler. Thanks!

This app is really fun! I'm just amazed at how simple you guys made the app to be! The only problem which I have is that for some reason the app keeps repeating dialouges. For example, "[TEXT]+Hello" will be displayed twice on the test screen. Other than that, this app is fantastic!

I had been working on a Visual Novel for NaNoWriMo and planned to use this bc of its simplicity and ability to work with it, but many times its deleted my progress and saved over my script so I couldn't fix it if pressed the test button when a mild error popped up. All my progress is gone and I haven't been more annoyed

It could be used to make decent visual novels. Not all that hard to use, if a bit tiresome. Unfortunately, it crashes often - I can't even start the app at all right now - and once I actually lost all my data after it crashed. So it's unusable right now, unfortunately.

I believe this is a good visual novel engine, but i'm having a trouble for the character display. I tried to put my character on left or even right too the image didn't pop out unless it's middle. But when i go middle my character zoomed out and it looks terrible please fix this bug.

Documentation doesn't explain how to combine scripts ([IF] or [VSET]) with [CHOICE] to make the choices relevant. For example, if I have a [CHOICE] option to speak to a character or ignore them, and would like both options to continue the overall story more or less the same (so move to the same [SCRIPT]) but if you ignored that character, there is a consquence later (For example, on the next script, if you ignored them, it will load a different script partway through.)

yeah its nice but i have a really one problem and its simple and it is how to delete visual novel that the craetir make like for example.. the creator had mess up a one visual novel and need to make another one... the vn engine should have delete options so we can delete the novels that we craeted that we no longer need...

I got a visual novel that only worked on the computer and I wanted to play it on my phone so I thought I'd just use this app and import it in, there's no import feature but that's okay! Just let me know if you ever plan on adding it, uh- this is an overall great app so yup

Hey, I using Visual Novel Engine on android and when I press "download and play" at the menu, It's says, There's no connecting to the server but my Wifi is too fast and I can search anything but this won't connect. Pls fix it to play other story :)

it was pretty good—however whenever I tried to put in choices my game always seemed to freeze and close. Or when it did add the choice, a character would always end up saying the choices. Please fix it.

Was working fine until I inserted images. They were zoomed way in, and after I tried fixing it myself, the app deleted my script. I'm going to try it out on Steam, though.

I love it this app! But the problem is everytime I try to put in a picture, it keeps on saying file is not found, and when I try putting it in VNE storage, it still saids file not found. Please fix this!

Almost absolutely perfect.One minor thing I was thinking about is that could we change the font of the texts?and also the text backgrounds? Or there was that kind of thing that I didn't learned yet?

I enjoy it a lot, but the reason I have 4 is because of sound and photo issues, I'm having problems with that because for files Im not sure how it works, I tried using my drawings for photos but I'm not sure if file names work there

seemed great at first, I know how to use didnt really have any problems on figuring out how to do things. but unfortunately all the novels I've made stop after like 20 Scripts. plz fix also recently, the app doesn't even open any more , it's sad I really liked this app

Was looking for a visual novel engine I could use so I can work on my VN on the go and came across this. The coding is gonna be difficult for me to learn but hopefully this can be an easier option for me then trying to find time to sit down and work on my laptop instead. :)

whenever I test it, it's just a white screen with a black textbox that shows nothing, I'm almost convinced that this doesn't work

It worked well but I had a very big problem with the image script... it had never worked
