1 Second Everyday: Video Diary

Love it. So fun and easy. Film a few seconds, then select your calendar date, your video, preview by second, select trim to choose the one you want, and add it onto your video. You can add a description. Try it. Spread the word. NO ADS!!! One of the few left without them.

All my videos are stored in separate folders, so it's easy to create videos, etc. However, this app joins them all in "My files" so if I want to add snippets, I need to do them one by one as it doesn't allow multi-select and need to scroll through hundreds to find the one for the date I'm looking for. No filtering options, it's really time consuming as you then also need to trim each snippet before adding. Very poor functionality for an app that costs over £40pa.

Love the app but recently there's been an update and my phone photos and videos aren't available to be selected. It says one date but the photos are new ones and ones from random older dates combined. I can't access recent videos at all which makes it kind of pointless to continue. Tried to contact support through app but it seems almost impossible to speak to support.

I love this app and have upgraded to the premium app. The only big thing is that the music does not pull across on pictures so when you mash a project, the music sounds like its skipping which is such a shame. Hopefully this glitch can be fixed unless I'm doing something wrong?

The app was fine. The newest update causes it to not open and constantly crashed. (2020) The newest update in 2022 has caused random dates to come up when viewing the mash. I take a video every day, but I forget to immediately upload, so when I do, I have numerous videos for the same date or the dates jump around because a week could go by and I finally realize I didn't upload my video.

Used to love it, but since latest upgrade, I'm paying for a worse app. Reported a year ago an issue which makes it unworkable... app doesn't retain position in library and have to scroll all the way down each time to add a new snippet... terrible UX. Issue acklowledged but not resolved 1 year on. Very dissapointing

I love the app! Well actually it is the concept I'm in love with. The app is pretty basic but easy to use and I've been so happy with it that I was going to upgrade to pro version. Then I saw the $70.99 annual fee. This is an extraordinary price for such a simple, one task app but I suspect I could of stomached it if paid monthly. I personally find this exceptionally greedy. But no, you don't offer a monthly plan. I will be one of many others I imagine giving your app a miss at this point.

Gone downhill in the past few years. I've had this since 2019, and on both an iPhone and an Android. It used to mash smoothly, with a simple interface and the ability to place two snippets on each day. Now it struggles to mash the video together, making random snippets less than a second, and unsyncing your audio. If I look at 2019's mashed videos, they're flawless. If I look at 2021's, it's choppy, but not terrible. If I look at 2022's? It's laughable. Needs some serious work.

Wow. Such a beautiful and great app. Being able to keep all my memories in one place and go back to them with ease is fantastic. And the notification reminders bring joy to my day, having quotes or random facts pop up is refreshing to me. Thank you for helping me cherish memories!

I need someone to contact me. Mine said that it had expired. I didn't think so but I went ahead and renewed for $50. I just realized that was not true at all, so now it is set to renew at the end of June 2022 for $30. The one I just did expires May 2023 for $50. So essentially I am paying for this twice and at far different prices.

Guys! The new updates look great but there are a few problems. 1. When I pick a video from a few months ago and trim it, for the next video it starts from the top of the calendar again which means lots of scrolling. 2. I can't move the clips around in the project. 3. Also when I get a bunch of videos from another device, it doesn't put them under the date that they were taken but it puts them under the date they were downloaded.

I've renewed my subscription, over £40, and the latest update has made it so that the library doesn't 'remember' the date you were last browsing, so I add a clip, then try to add the next one and have to scroll all the way back from the present day every time! I'm adding clips from August last year and it is painstaking. Please update it again!! I wanted to do a '1SE' video for my daughter's first birthday in just over a week and I'm not going to have time at this rate :(

This is my second year worth of videos. I started when my children were 1 and 2/3. It is amazing what all it captures in those short years. I have done the free version for a year and a paid this past year. I will be doing paid again but it is worth it no matter what you choose. I feel like we take so many videos and not know what to do with them. This way I have it concise and the best highlights in one place!

I like this app BUT when I go to "save and share" my end-of-year video it just sits there and says "rendering video" for hours without actually doing anything. After a few times of this and not seeing the final video saved in any of the file locations that make sense, I tried leaving it overnight to have the full night to render and download.... Just checked again and nothing! Even the window that says "rendering, this may take a while" has closed itself. I'd really like to share with friends :(

This app is one of my most prized possessions in a way because it's given me the gift of preserving 1 second a day of my kids' lives since the days they were born. The pro version is worth it- especially the security of having my memories backed up. The 2 times I ran into issues with anything, I contacted the 1SE team and they went above and beyond to help with a resolution. The only feature I miss is easily being able to see which days have two snippets added via the calendar view.

I loved this app in 2021, but it updated in early 2022 and I'm having issues now. Some of my photos are being cut shorter than 1 second when I "mash" the full video, despite the photos being 1 full second on the preview when I add them to my timeline. When I watch my full video to-date, its annoying to see some of my photos only viewable for literally a split second. I hope this is fixed with a new update.

I have loved this app for years and pay for premium because it's been absolutely worth it to compile memories this way. However, the latest update completely reset all my favorited seconds and that is extremely frustrating, especially considering how much time it will take to go back through thousands of clips to unfavorite them all and reselect the ones I had favorited to begin with.

really like this app, but I've been having an issue lately where, in the mashed video, some of my one second clips get cut/rushed through in about half a second even though the video clip on the calendar is the full one second. sad that some of my memories get clipped like this! I can't figure out why it's happening.

When I click to add a new snippet it is showing me photos that aren't from that particular day and aren't even on my phone anymore. If I choose one, it selects a photo that IS from that day and IS on my phone. Odd bug.

Love looking back on the pictures put together for a month or more. Lovely app and great to be able to show family what's happened in a month ***updating my review 27 March 22*** Since the update and new version just seem so much of a pain. Crash and hangs all the time. Pics don't show up from Google galleries even though I can see pics in the gallery. Really preferred the old version. Just seems a shame as worked really well before

Since the most recent update the app just doesn't work properly and won't mash videos. Contacted support and they aren't able to help! Such a shame as I've really enjoyed this app for 3 years now. Feels like 1SE has added a load of new features when all I really wanted was the original features which now don't work. Don't bother downloading until it's fixed!

Its an awesome app and great concept. But lately every video i upload it says it cant process and I have difficulties in uploading a video. Theres no way to get in touch with the company through the app or contact number

I love this app. This new update where you can have a side project and the second each day is exactly what I needed. I wish you got limited options for music, but I understand you have to make money some how. I will probably eventually update. The cost night be a bit much for what the app provides but we will see if I cave. Thank you for helping capture good moments 1 second at a time!

This used to be a simple app: you cut 1 second of video each day and then mash them together in a compilation. Now they keep trying to turn it into a "service" to justify a ludicrous 60€/year subscription by adding unneeded features and ruining the free version to force you to pay. The app gets worse with each update. Just let me cut 1 second a day at a reasonable price.

I used to like this app a lot, but then they got an update and things seem mor complicated. Also when I try to add a video for the day, it says I have poor connection. I've tried everything and it still says I have poor connection, thus leading me to believe that there's a glitch/error of some kind. 😕

The app is too buggy for the pro version to be that expensive. I think many people would prefer a one-off subscription or even to have ads. It really feels like a slap in the face to long-term users of the app. Currently looking for alternatives, which is disappointing given myself, my family, and my friends have used this for years.

Absolutely useless app, keeps crashing and won't allow me to add any videos/pictures to days in the past. It was working brilliantly up until a few weeks ago and now it is completely useless. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Have loved this app for awhile, but recently if I try to insert a clip, it turns my normal, bright, clear video/photo to a dull, fogged out color. I've updated, closed, restarted & everything in between to no prevail. Very frustrating.

Really easy to use but unfortunately lots of the images and videos, when 'mashed' are clunky and jittery and off the screen in a flash. It's the only downside to the app - but it's the main feature!

a great app for compiling a monthly snapshot. the updates to the new version are a little glitchy - uploading my seconds take longer than in the older version. would buy premium if it was a one-off cost rather than annual.
