App is great when it works. Cuts out too often. Edit* The cutting out has gotten even worse
The app plays commercials during the middle of a conversation, when key word gets played, so it's missed, etc.. too may commercials.....
A good app, when it works, but for a while, it would just up and quit after a minute or 2, and I'd have to go in and set it up again, only for it to quit again. I ultimately had to uninstall it and reinstall it to remedy the problem. Also, it lacks fast forward and rewind capabilities which makes things inconvenient when listening to replays of shows.
it plays the Feature Cuts and full show replays, but lacks the ability to fast forward for either one. It also uses battery at an alarming rate. The extra interfaces are not accessible here and need to be reached at the website. This is a 'bare bone's version of the actual website. You can watch the BoneTV here, but not all the features work.
Horrible app. You have one job- deliver audio. Can't do that in a stable manner. But it can deliver visual ads that require the phone screen to remain on, and that lock up the app over half the time. Or have issues with the network connection. This app appears to have been written by folks who have no idea what they are doing and zero visible improvements to the stability have been made. Your technical staff should all be fired and replaced by folks who know what they are doing.
This app is horrible. Claims, "on demand" but if you play anything for more than a minute it freezes. Commercials cut into live and replay content on a whim. Replays aren't to date. Unfortunate, since I live out of the listening area, and it used to be one of the best and unique radio stations available in the US. Never thought a company wouldn't care about their audience, but CMG does, apparently. (Had to give it 1 star, otherwise I couldn't post.)
I would always give the bone five stars but right now wanted to let y'all know that ever since Android hide it's stupid update for Android 11. The bone up has not been working correctly and it keeps crashing and it won't connect. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app every single day since the upgrade for Android. I don't know if it's an Android problem it probably is. Since nothing else seems to be working correctly with the update. I'm just giving y'all heads up otherwise five stars!
App quits working after a minute or so of listening to on demand feature. I have to close the app and restart it just to have it quit working again. Currently using Samsung Galaxy S10+, app seemed to work better with Galaxy S8+ but even then I often had to restart it. App really needs to be updated, especially if the last update was June 2018.
runs ok most of the time but occasionally maintains multiple instances of itself in the notification panel I have to open and exit again to get rid of it. Now it wont keep the live stream of the shows going for more than 40 seconds before I have to open the app again and tap play. Could be Metro? Not sure.
this app is terrible. on Android I have to constantly hit / info / force stop / and then re open app to get it to work. once it's working it works fine but if you close it and reopen it is frozen and have to force stop and open again. update 6 9 21 worse now it only.plays the same show from 6 3 21 over and over and over they clearly don't support this app.
Cox had to make something budget free. So I guess they decided to hire an intern who did nothing but smoke weed and drink throughout college, and this app is the result of that. Barely works half the time, and includes an insane amount of advertisements that continues to get worse each update. I would give it 0 stars if I could. The only reason people give this app any kind of good rating is because of the personalities of the shows, not the app itself.
It needs maintenance. I have to force stop it to get it to work. Also, at times when I want to replay shows and get to the end, instead of restarting over again to the beginning, it will go into some other podcast instead.
Great app minus adds. Lets you hear replay and live radio shows. Down 1 star because you can't fast forward replays. So if you hear part of a show you gotta wait for the whole "tape reel" to respool and rewind on loop to catch where you left off. Otherwise love Rodger and JP then Johnny B the day after broadcast. Couldn't live without them getting me through the workday.
Crashes for me every 5 minutes and I can't pause pre-recorded streams. It'll just start over which is super annoying. I love listening to The Bone but I just wish their app was more functional to those who can't catch the live show everyday :/
Crashes constantly. Ad injection into the middle of people talking. App starts up like a zombi and take over and stops any audio if it has been closed but not forced stopped. Uses mic to collect and give those ads that are injected into ths stream.
This is a terrible app. I stream and then I have to reconnect because it lost connection. You can't fast forward if you heard a section. I wish I could give it a no stars. But it feels like 8 year old could do something better in a class than this app
Most the time while listening to the live show and sometimes while listening to a prerecorded show, the app constantly stops every 2 or 3 minutes and then I have to restart it just to be able to hear the show again.
The shows are great! The app is 💩. I am local to Tampa, but travel for business, so I switch to the app when I loose signal. Getting it to start is a challenge enough. I have to hit play multiple times before it will actually start. Then it crashes constantly. And everytime it restarts, it has to play two full length ads before it brings the show back. It seems like more of a vehicle to shove ads down listener's throats than an avenue to get content to them.
