App seems to be well organized but doesn't explain to a non-subscriber what is necessary to cancel a subscription after, for example, the 3 month subscription (because the agreement states they will continue to charge you every 3 months until you cancel). When I emailed asking for an explanation, I received a reply that only subscribers receive email support. That's enough of an indication for me to move to another app as there are plenty out there.
I started with the 5k runner, and then progressed to thr 10k. I find the app great to use l as it keeps me progressing in increments. It help keeps the run varied and fun, as its not the same things every run. For the money you can't go wrong. Also I have seen comments about the app not working when you turn your phone off. If you use the padlock on the app to lock your phone screen, and leave the screen on there are no problems. Your phone screen will stay locked and you get your audio updates
This app is excellent for self paced training. You click yourself ahead each day, so if you're needing an extra day or two of running at a particular list level you aren't automatically moved to the next goal. It clearly let's you know when to walk and when to run, and offers little bits of encouragement along the way. Runs well beside Spotify (pun intended) to make my runs enjoyable and something I now look forward to.
This app is great, it's really getting me back into running and at a good pace. The only thing I dislike which is incredibly annoying is that it tries to enforce a 5 minute warmup and warm down walk. I get this must be useful for some people but I prefer my own warm up. Should make this optional so that I don't always have to skip it! Plus it adds 10 minutes to my time as you can't skip!
Decent in theory but unreliable in practice. It seems like a great way to get into longer runs but unfortunately the app fails to provide instructions and feedback when your device is locked. I ended up having to run with my phone in my hand (mate 20 pro with curved screen Edge) which resulted in me inadvertently skipping run/walk sessions. Maybe a custom ui (ability to move buttons) would be the perfect solution? That being said, it's worth trying at least a few times.
So far so good. Needed an app to help get me back out and running and I like the format of this one. The announcer give you the interval stop and start times, announces when you are halfway through and says "almost done" when you hit the 3/4 mark. Plan to pay, as only the first week is included free, but $2 for 2 months access to the whole program, or $6 for unlimited access is perfectly reasonable pricing!
The App does what it says. Very easy to use and the science works. I am amazed that I am in the last week of the plan . I never thought I would get here. I do recommend this app. The connection is stable. Haven't had any issues. If possible as an improvement I would welcome the voice to articulate how many min left to the end at regular intervals as every minute counts. I managed this with my stop watch instead. ⏱.
I was happy with the app when I first got it but this last month has left me disappointed. The program ans increase of distance is great but the distance function is terrible. The GPS is inaccurate and sometimes doesn't work at all. It is unreliable and therefore unmotivating. I have contacted customer service the response was very delayed, offered no solution and at times was no existent.
I paid for the pro version - and then all the problems began. The app keeps crashing. Sometimes I'm ten minutes into a run, and it suddenly restarts to "begin with a five minute warm up walk". I have cleaned out my cache, moved my photos/videos into an SD card but the problems are still there. Very disheartening to lose all progress partway through a run. Please fix!
Brilliant. Keeps you going. Used this app when starting running and it got me into it and helped me to do a half marathon. Now using it again to come back after a long lay off for injury when struggling for fitness. So far so good. Breaking down into chunks really helps you to strive to keep going and not give into fatigue. Would recommend to everyone.
Terrible! I purchased the premium version for $2.99 to help me train up from a 5k to a 10k. I've used it 5 times, and 3 of those times it crashed in the middle of my run and could not be restarted without rebooting my phone and starting over, which I'm not going to do in the middle of a run. Completely unreliable and therefore useless. I asked for my money back, but Google said no!
I like this app. It really helped my gain endurance. It starts you out slow and adds running time with each session. Perfect for anyone who has never gone for a run before! I've never used another running app before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but would totally recommend!
Used this app last year and did couch to 5k then worked my way up to a half marathon. I was very much a non runner. I've downloaded it again to restart training and it's very effective at getting you over the line. My biggest gripe is that for those who want to do the 21k after this you loose all the badges because you have to download a new version, you can't just upgrade this one. It would be good to include stretches and other tips to help prevent injuries.
Really happy with this app so far. The progression is at the right pace for me and you also have the ability to skip sessions if it is too slow for you. The support is also amazing, I had issues with my membership and support went above and beyond to resolve it for me.
The training plan is great. Building up slowly and steadily. However the GPS is pretty bad, it stops working often and then just connects straight lines when it picks back up. It doesn't follow roads or anything. It has been off by as much as a half a mile on 25 minute runs.
There is a major flaw in the app. It suddenly stops mid-run with no warning or indication it has stopped. I have used it 4 times and 2 times it has done this. This morning I was hoping to do a new, longer run. After some time passed I began to wonder how much further I had to go before the half-way point, it seemed a long time. I took my phone out only to discover that at some point after telling me to start running it had completely shut down. £5.99 wasted
Been using this on and off just from having to stop from injury or cold weather, but started properly in spring and it's been amazing for me. For people that have issues with GPS, it's happened to me once but with Android apps, they have to try and cater for every android phone made by different company's that can cause complications, opposed to iPhones that have the same ecosystem. The bugs could be exclusive to a certain phones and the software permissions or GPS chips it uses.
