This app is useless. On two occasions recently the cab did not arrive at all. I had to harass the base operators for a cab. They told me that cabs were sent to three addresses, none of them mine. I missed a specialist appointment and now have to wait for a month for another appointment. Do not use this app. 13cabs shame! Check out the reviews before you download this app. Only reason they got 1 star is that you have to rate it something before you can review.
Thought I would give 13 Cabs a go since they now "have an app". Unfortunately after setting it up, it doesn't seem to work. Put in my pick up point, destination, payment method...nothing. Having an app is one thing, having a working app would seem to need some more work. I feel sorry for the poor cabbies.
Terrible. Attempted to book cabs several times and the app didn't appear to make an actual booking so made alternative arrangements. Then get a phone call 49 minutes later saying the cab was ready to go. Maybe not the drivers fault but the app should give feedback that drivers have accepted and on route.
Wow, surprisingly terrible! Hadn't used this app for a while, and thought I'd use it again as I don't want to travel by Uber any more. Well they've got nothing to worry about, can't make a booking, which was after the app crashing over and over again. Utterly pathetic. NOW ON A BRAND NEW PHONE the app works a little more than previously— right up to the actual booking stage then goes to a payment screen then back to the previous screen, over and over. Still don't want my business eh?
Something wrong when booking a trip. It never finds me an available driver and when going back the main menu, with the android back button, there is no way t pull up the current trip again which was looking for a driver. Seems to be completely gone, doesn't show up in trips, no notification, nothing. Therefore I'm not sure if there is still an open trip with a cab driver all of the sudden showing up or not. Additionally they charge right away and do not do an automatic refund.
There is no confirmation on the App that you have booked. It returns to the booking screen. There was no indication that a cab was coming. So I cancelled it. The app does make the cancellation easy. Except two cabs turned up. Had to phone them up to ensure cancellation
Really poor service. Spend 20 minutes on hold trying to book a cab as the app couldn't find any local drivers. Bloke tells me he's booked one but can't say how long it will be. Hour goes by and no cab. Call again, get told the same thing and that one will be with me shortly. Again, the guy can't give an estimated arrival time and he can't even have someone call me back to confirm if a cab is coming or not. Really poor
After reading scathing reviews, used with trepidation, but, taxi arrived at the booking time. However, although entering credit card details payment was declined and had to use standard Cabcharge which cost me another fee after having paid a dollar to register my card with the app. An in app Help would be useful for newcomers.
This app is horrible. Every time I go to order a cab the app doesn't respond properly and it isn't clear if it was ordered successfully or not. Sometimes I've ended up accidentally ordering multiple cabs, and just today it didn't look like it went through as it gave no status updates, so I booked an Uber just for both to show up. I've been a long supporter of 13Cabs but the app isn't usable for me, and with the phone service not much better I now have to look elsewhere.
Can't book a taxi without providing payment details, even if you're paying cash. Gave up after 10 minutes waiting to talk to an operator to book over the phone. This company clearly doesn't want casual customers or to employ staff to take bookings. If they're not interested in providing a service, they should not be in a service industry.
Terrible app and 2 weeks to return money when you don't even order a cab! After trying to order a maxicab (which they let you select how many passengers) it ordered a 1-4 people cab. Not only I could not order the cab in the end, but even after cancelling immidiately (obviously seeing we won't fit in) I got charged the whole amount and it takes 2 weeks to get it back. I will not use this app again until they can offer a service like the other ones (eg: dont take $ until the cab is there!)
Terrible experience. Pre ordered maxi, 20 minutes after it was supposed to show I rang 131008 and they had no idea of the booking. We even had a regular cab order one for us. Got on to Uber. 2 mins later we were on our way. Uninstalled and will never cab again.
Absolute 0 star experience. They take the money off your credit card for a booking before they even know whether there's a car available. I waited 15 minutes for the app to find someone...had to cancel...still haven't refunded me...absolute worst.
Terrible service. Use uber or anything else. I made a booking for 11pm 4 days in advance and a cab driver was only assigned AFTER THE ASSIGNED TIME, AT 11:05pm. They were 40mins away. The driver said there was no one was in the area at the time and that's what there was a delay. What is the point of having a booking system, and making pre-payment if a taxi driver isn't assigned to the booking to arrive at the pre-booked time.
A lot of money wasted on a non-functioning app. I was initially charged twice for a cab that didn't arrive. A week later one charge disappeared and the second still went through. When I contacted support on the night in question to query where my cab was I was told it wasn't coming, they arranged a second cab which I had to pay for on arrival, leading to 3 charges in total for 1 fare. Safe to say they need to go back to the drawing board with the app.
Terrible service. I pre-booked a taxi to the airport for 4am. Fifteen minutes prior, I received a phone call saying they would be 20 minutes late. Hopeless. No point in having a fancy app if the customer service is so poor.
Got the app so I could use the cabcharge issued by my company, only there's no option for that in the app. Opting for another payment method, and hoping I could get it sorted once inside a cab, I tried booking one. Twenty minutes later, standing in the rain and unable to actually get a confirmed booking, I got an uber which turned up in under three minutes. Until this works, you'll be hard pressed to find people willing to choose cabs over ride share.
Unusable app. Asks to confirm order then when you click yes, it ambiguously does nothing with no notification whether it was successful or not. Have never gotten this to work properly despite tries on multiple occasions
Worked great in Brisbane - significantly cheaper than Uber. Like $46 for uber and $13.55 for 13Cabs on a Friday 5pm, 10 min ride. Its insane how much more Uber is. Plus you can have 4 people in a cab, not in an Uber without having an UberXL at higher cost again. The 13cabs app worked well, yes you need to add in payment details, it is what it is. It's like most apps these days!? Take the cost and convenience as a win.
Dont use this app. It charges u the money. But cab did not arrive. I got charge the money when order the cab. The driver accept the fare. Then cancelled I complaint and got the email said will solve the problem. But nearly 1 month. Nothing happen yet. Keeping email them. Not no reply.
This is an absolute pain trying to book a taxi and it doesn't seem to work at all. It doesn't even show u if you're taxi was actually booked. Also when u call the 13cabs number it rings then hugs up no customer services at all.
App ok but cabs are totally unreliable. I tried to support the cab industry but have now turned to uber. Have tried to book hours in advance and they pick and choose and don't accept fare leaving one stranded without any communication. Have had them accept a fare and then mark the trip as complete again leaving myself and party stranded. Long wait if you try to speak with a customer service operator. Customer service make promises that drivers don't keep. Avoid if possible
Awful application to use, awful company and customer service. Attempted to book an cab. Took $50 booking fee from me, no cab was booked, nor was a notification given to me that any booking took place. Customer service says it's a "holding fee" not a charge. Been 20 days now and still no refund. Do NOT use this company.
Hopeless and useless. Scheduled a cab for an early morning flight. The app showed booking confirmed. The next day before the departure time, it showed "we are finding you a driver". Apparently the so call scheduling in the app means it will send the request at your scheduled time, instead of actually booking the cab to arrive at that time. Waited for 10 mins and it still"finding". Called local taxi company directly and get my cab in 5 mins. Uninstalled and will never use again!
