This used to be a well functioning app but the most recent update ruined that. You're forced to watch an ad video just to open the app, assuming it opens and doesn't freeze. The layout is congested and clunky now, and pages I want to read will often glitch or something and leave me staring at a blank page. If I try to go back and reload the article, I sometimes have to sit through another ad. I uninstalled the app because it made reading the local news too difficult.
App is so slow! It often takes several minutes to load. None of my other apps take nearly as much time. Navigate away from home page and you are stuck on the new page because back button will not work. You must close app and reload to get to another article from the home page. Too frustrating to use regularly.
'We will update this story once more information is available". No, you won't! You never do! STOP LYING!
The app now constantly sends notifications that force you to open a browser to view the article but then it just trys to play the live feed. The articles are nowhere to be found in the app. If you do open an article in the app it just crashes. I used to use this for my local news now i just get upset when I try to use it. I'm uninstalling.
Started out as a great app, but ads are taking it over. Sending Trump Christmas cards are too much. I am considering going to a different local news app. Having to go through 2-3 ads to get to the news is too much.
App has been awesome for years, however for the last few weeks I haven't been able to use it. Its always crashing Update: at some point the app started working again and just like before it's been working fine for a good while. Now since the update. It's back to being garbage.
This used to be a great app. It is terrible now. Very little local news. Full of news from outside this area. If there is a local story, the writer will always say it will be updated and then nothing more is said about the story. Just uninstalled this app. Going to try another station's app.
this app NEVER displays the news updates I click on, but rather, it always displays the latest "news" without fail. In fact, I just clicked on one of their news topics they pushed towards me and a completely different irrelevent story appeared; and my story was nowhere to be found.
The latest update is terrible. Opening news stories sometimes goes to a blank page. Going back from a story just gives you the same page. What was the developer thinking with this update. Come on 14 news. I hope you fix this soon.
I love this app at all time this is the only news I paid attention to at all times even on my regular TV station but then they did this change to it and upgrade to it and I don't like it at all very very disappointed in it I am going to have to turn and go the other way to a different news app because the new upgrade Don't make no sense at all hard to understand it now very sorry I hope you fix it cuz I will miss you
Crashes all the time now, can't even fully read an article. The minute I scroll down and it shows one of the uber-numerous ads, it crashes. What gives?!
Can't get the ap to open MOST OF THE TIME!!!!
Somebody got paid to ruin this app. I select a news story to read, it's a video that wont load. I can read faster than you guys can talk, put it in writing. It wasnt broken before but it sure is now. Let's hope the news 25 app works as intended.
Old app was better. Only 3 out of 20 articles are text the rest are videos and I only wanted the app to read about the news not watch it. I have a tv if I wanted to watch the news.
I've had this app for years. Uninstalled because it stopped working after the update. I checked today and it's worse. Just an empty page. 👎 👎 👎 Thankfully EYEWITNESS NEWS still works.
The latest update has pretty much ruined the app. The days of just reading text are apparently gone. Not everyone is interested in streaming video. Too bad.
The new upgrade is awful! Either nothing will open when I click on the notification or I just get a blank page. Please go back to the old way!
Don't know what's going on but this app has gotten very difficult to use. I loved this app because it covered owensboro news. Seems to have lost its interest in owensboro and surrounding areas. Sad.
The app was fine before you did this stupid update and made everything more complicated and made all articles into videos that don't load properly and have ads.
I wish they would have never changed the layout and format. It was fine the way it was.... Now it is way too convoluted and congested.
this is the worst news app for our area. Stories are poorly written, rarely updated and spotty for big events. others sites do a much better job covering local news.
Loved this app at first. I was able to stay on top of breaking news. However, in the last several weeks, clicking on any notification takes you to either an advertisement or the splash screen which takes you to an advertisement. After the ad, the splash screen just spins. If you are lucky enough to get past the splash screen, you don't get the info for your breaking news, you get the general app homepage and you have to go dig for the breaking news.
