14FirstAlert Weather TriState

14 has always been my favorite channel for both news and weather. Always used the weather app, daily. But now, what is going on with the radar??? Can't run the timeline on past or future. That feature has been replaced with ad's. Oh well, guess I'll have to convert to 25. I've already installed the app and the radar is just like 14's used to be... hey 14, change for the better not worse. Disappointed 😞

I feel this app is really good. It gives you up to date min, hour, & weekly information. Plus alerts you to any severe weather you have programmed it for. It is free & doesn't pop up any ads. I always know what information I'm trying to find out on it. It also has a spot on there that will play a video of them doing the weather forcast like they play on the news on tv. This is my go to app out of the ones I have for all of my weather information. I highly recommend this app & give it 5 stars!

I like to look at the radar map and see the weather happening. Also, where it's happening that's really cool!!. Then there is the hour by hour. Can't forget that.

Would just like to receive notifications when there is severe weather. Too many notifications that I don't care for.

Love this app. I find it to be very accurate and radar and hourly features are great.

Always on top of it all there been a few close calls but aways have the weather radio on..

Constant alerts even after notifications turned off. What is worse is that these notifications would happen at all hours of the night waking me up constantly and even after they were turned off and the sound was turned off on the phone. It would make a loud siren noise but never show notifications on the phone so you could figure out what app was making life miserable. I literally had to delete a dozen apps until I narrowed it down to this horrible app. DONT DOWNLOAD IT!!!

Terrible. For whatever reason this app goes back and keeps turning notifications on, even after you've turned them off. My wife and I each have a Galaxy phone, this app gives a unprompted, police siren sounding, notification every 12 hours or so. I couldn't figure out what it was until I started reading reviews and other people had the same thing. Since I have uninstalled the app, the alarm noise stopped. There are hundreds of better weather apps.

For the past week, app takes over 120 seconds to show current temperature or any other tabs (hourly, radar, etc.). I tried removing the app and reinstalling, but still get the same slow results. Have loved using the app, even when traveling, but will have to consider another app if this is not fixed for Android. Works fine on my wife's iPhone.

Constantly sends notifications even after I've turned the notifications off....twice. other than that it's ok. I had to go into my phone and block all notifications from the app. Now I can't get the current temp without opening the app. Frustrating. Update: had to totally Uninstall the app. App turns weather alerts back on even after you turn them off and overrides sound control so you get an annoying alarm even when you have your sound off.

I love everything about the app except for one huge problem the app was causing. At random times throughout the day, my phone would make a loud woop woop sound like the beginning of a police siren. NO notifications showed so I had no idea what was causing it! Through my phones settings, I couldn't find any notification that made such a sound. Stopping ALL notifications didn't stop it. Nothing stopped it. Finally, under the app's Settings > Sounds, I found Station Sounds that was making the obnoxious noise, so I chose No Sound for Station Sounds, and that worked. There's absolutely nothing in Help that even says what on Earth Station Sounds is. GET RID OF 'STATION SOUNDS'!

I used to love this app but had to uninstall it after the most recent update because for some reason it kept make a loud siren sound, like a cop car, literally every 5 minutes (I timed it). It did not show any notifications or anything so it took me awhile to finally figure out what was causing this horrible sound coming from my phone. I called AT&T and they tried to help me but was unsuccessful and they actually wanted me to completely wipe my phone and do a factory reset. So glad I refused to do this as I would have lost a lot of things on my phone. I finally went to and talked to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and the first time I went there of course it would make the sound therefore they were unable to help me, so I left. I then for the rest of the day kept my voice recorder on and was able to record the sound so I took it back the Geek Squad and luckily the guy there remembered this happening to someone else so he was able to tell me it was this app that was causing this horrible noise. I have since uninstalled the app and have not heard the siren noise since.

My app hasn't worked properly since my phone was updated. It opens, but is similar to a photo. None of the features such as radar, daily forecast, weekly forecast, etc, work. It's so disappointing considering we have used this app to stay up-to-date on weather in our area.

Good accurate app! Just like the TV channel 14!

Updates to sever weather and nice weather. ALERTS are very welcome.

Love the mobile app. I do not have internet access except for my phone and channel 14 keeps me up to date with what is going on around me in real time.

Becoming unresponsive whenever I try to open it. I have to uninstall and re-install it. Not as reliable as you need a weather app to be particularly entering summer storm season.

Very easy to use even for a computer illiterate like me.

If anything other than the default alert tone is selected it will not make any sound at all. Developer was made aware of this over 6 months ago and has not done anything to fix it. I suggest using an app such as "Ping For Alerts" instead. I do not trust this app with my life in its current configuration (I am also certified storm spotter)

Sound in videos don't work... you watch the ad and sound works... then the video sound doesn't work on 8/10 of the videos... they have some hardware software issues with there sound... tried it on multiple android phones... buy new microphones or update or something... make sure your microphones are compatible... very annoying

Was great until recently. Now the alerts from the team are constant and turning them off in the app does no good. If not fixed by the end of the month I'm removing the app. I'm tired of being woken up at night for a bs video

I like the widget on my homepage, but it does not update anymore. If you place the widget on the page it doesn't change; the hourly doesn't change, and the 3 day forecast won't even load anymore. As much as I like 14 First Alert, the non- functioning widget is enough to make need look elsewhere.

Freezes or crashes constantly. Out of the 5 times a day I may open it to check the weather, it's maybe 1 that I can go through the radar, daily, and hourly options. Otherwise it's just a frozen page.

It's good! I love 14 News. But, the app is kinda Innacurate. They always change the forecast, I know its not always confirmed, but sometimes it will rain all day and not be forecasted. Overall, its okay!

Best local news channel EVER!!

Great forecasts but too many commercials sour an otherwise nice app. Update: Ugh! Lowered it another star for the continued annoying full commercials forced on you before you can view the forecasts with no "Skip after X seconds" option. I'm so disappointed in 14 News for this.
