1689 London Baptist Confession

This ancient document is a most excellent epitome of the things most surely believed among us. By the preserving hand of the Triune Jehovah we have been kept faithful to the great points of our glorious Gospel, and we feel more resolved perpetually to abide by them.
This little volume is not issued as an authoritative rule, or code of faith, whereby ye are to be fettered, but as an assistance to you in controversy, a confirmation in faith, and a means of edification in righteousness. Here the younger members of our church will have a body of divinity in small compass, and by means of the scriptural proofs, will be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in them.
Be not ashamed of your faith; remember it is the ancient Gospel of martyrs, confessors, reformers, and saints. Above all, it is the Truth of God against which the gates of hell cannot prevail. Let your lives adorn your faith, let your example recommend your creed. Above all, live in Christ Jesus, and walk in Him, giving credence to no teaching but that which is manifestly approved of Him, and owned by the Holy Spirit. Cleave fast to the Word of God, which is here mapped out to you.

This is a nice app to read and marvel at the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of people so many years ago. App is nice, like scripture references. Would like the book and chapter in the pop-up window.

App links the Bible references to the ESV only.
You cannot be a good Reformed Baptist without this app. This is a critical app to install if you wish to be consistently confessional. Just kidding, but seriously, this is a good app.

Aftr the current fix it doesn't fetch the associated bible verses from crossway api server. I just get the "nada" message. However, this is still the best of the 1689 apps.

This is such a handy app! Love the idea and the layout. It would be nice if the font size could be adjusted. And for some reason when switching pages sometimes portions of the previous page bleed through wherever there is a blank space. Still a highly useful tool, however.
First of all thank you for a beautiful UI. Secondly thank you for making a nice app with the best confession out there. I suggest any good Baptist out there download this and memorize it. Now on to my reason for only giving 4 stars: the User experience. How hard is it to allow a swipe from page to page? You have to click the arrow. Furthermore, there's no "home" link to take you back to the table of contents, so it's too easy to get really lost. I do like the progress tracker though, that's nice. One last UX concern - I stare at a screen all day as a developer, and I'm able to turn all of my backgrounds dark. Can you add a "dark theme"?
I find it hard to read it with the italicized fonts. I wish it used serif font to add an effect of antiquity.
What a blessing to have this app on my phone, always at the ready where ever I go. This plus the AV is mighty combo.
As stated below, the ability to change the font size would be good. I also think it would be good if you could open one scripture proof at a time so you don't have to scroll through them all to get to a certain one.
Thank you for this. I only wish that you include the KJV as the main version and anything else as secondary. There are a number of references which are keyed to KJV which are omitted from other versions. May you know the Lord's richest blessing
Only improvements I could think of is being able to change the font size, and offline Scripture reading.
Does what it says. It would be nice to change the font type and size. It would also be helpful to be able to copy the text.
This is a handy copy for reference and study. Easy to use. I have it on my tablet and phone. It is a perfect companion to my digital bible.
I really enjoy this app! The only improvement I can think of would be the ability to highlight (in different colors of course). :)

I truly love this app! I'd give it 5 stars but when you click the hyperlink that goes to the scriptures it doesn't say from what book/chapter ect. If it said that when you do click on the hyperlink it would be useful :)
