Put your phone in aeroplane mode then turn wifi on to connect to the camera. Then the app finds the camera and appears to work fine. As soon as you reconnect the network (eg 4G) the app can't see the camera. It seemed a little jerky in animation but worked well enough. As another reviewer said, if you want the video files it might be best to connect the sd card to your computer and read the video files rather than mess around with the app.

I like it but I have issues connecting to the Wi-Fi. I gave it three stars I was thinking two but it takes decent video even in the nighttime. The recent up date is still 2018? I thought about uninstalling it and reinstalling it but if it's still the same version... Oh and I also couldn't figure out how to keep sound on. Every video I took has no sound. Update 3/19/2020. When I try to download clip it jumps around and won't download. Back down to 1 star!!!😠

Utter garbage. This app is just about good enough to adjust the camera settings if you can understand the poorly laid out design and meaningless labels written in unchecked English. The option to view and download video clips to your device by wifi just doesn't work even if you can figure out how to do it.

finally got the app to work. the TF card must be formatted prior to using the DVR. very difficult to connect. eventually had to set the wifi to the dvr then try to connect. images are clear, with some delay. note if the wifi does not connect to the camera. the camera is useless as all the setup can only be performed using a connected mobile device with the 168dvr app.

I have just tried the app, and have found no faults, only to say, that the setup symble is missing from the top right of the app page. Once you have connected your camera, you can then continue with setting up your camera. If you have trouble connecting the camera, go to connections on your phone, look for the camera on wifi connections and type in your password, and click auto connect and off you go.

The app seems to have a bug with wifi connection. After the dash cam turned on, i have to reset the wifi on the phone by "forget" previously saved connection and reconnect with password each time to connect to the app. Also, you can not save the recorded footage directly using the app but it allows download of the locked/emergency footages. Playback video can be choppy when viewed on the phone at x1 speed. Sometime the app closes when go back and forward on the timeline. hopefully Dev will fix.

the app connect to the camcorder using wifi. it works. however, the most important part to use this camcorder is to be able to download videos. the app does not show any recorded videos, during the installation, it says this app is an older version for the android system. it does show photos. hope the new update address this problem.

I started using this app and everything was ok. The footage was being recorded. A few days later, it wouldn't record automatically, and I had to log onto the app first for the day to be recorded. Then I updated this app and now it doesnt record all together. A waste of time.

Download this app and it will not connect to my wifi also the power button on my dash cam will not change mode at all it constantly stays on. It connected to my wifi once for about 3 minutes and never worked again...... Sending it back to the junk yard it came from for an refund!!!!!!

Great app once you get the hang of it! Main thing is to make sure you have the correct memory card. I thought all memory cards are the same but they aren't and especially for devices that used this app. I purchased a 32 gb "TF CARD" from Walmart for 12$ bucks after installed everything worked perfectly.

WiFi connection problem with the App. The camera connects via WiFi the 1st time. If for some reason the phone has to break the WiFi connection, the phone will NOT reconnect unless the FC106 is reset.

OK app which seems to only work on old devices. Will not connect to my iPhone XS but connects straight away to my old nexus tablet. Camera wise is OK not the best quality but wasn't expecting it to be for the price, doesn't really pick up number plates it's a bit blurry.

Total waste of time and money. Managed to connect it once and went for a road trip thinking it'll take videos of the road but nothing. . . Couldn't even connect to the camera again.

Connection reliability between the App and the Camera is poor. Password change did not work. When a connection is made it takes several minutes to get a successful link.

App crashes when you have two cams installed. On a single cam can set to English and you need to slide the time line to see your videos. Easy to use. Please fix the WiFi bug.

This won't connect to my dashcam. This is the app suggested I get for it. It looks like it has the right settings but it's useless if it can't connect.

I have had it awhile it does record, good footage but i do not see how to connect to computer without removing sd card. how do you use wifi if it only works in flight mode to app. need app to suit win10 so video's are easily downloaded. help

When trying to connect to the wifi block, I only get that the device is already in use by someone else. Reinstalling the app does not help. is there anything else that can be done? The added "manual" is not a big help.

Unable to connect. It seems it is incompatible with Android 10.0 When the camera was sold to me nobody said a word about. Absolutely useless. Wrote to Company but no answer received.

Worst app. Feels like stuck after buying these dash cams which are only connected through this app. And this app never works, always crashing when trying to open. Highly disappointed.
