1943 Deadly Desert - a WW2 Strategy War Game

The deepest but fundamentally worst game in the series. Has the grindiest, least strategy based combat. Objectives are broad and basic but still confusing somehow. Infantry gets left behind. The new tank classes are cool, but armor is unfun to use because you run out of gas constantly. It's the most open ended game, resulting in constant, unpredictable ambushes. Air combat is expanded, but is as annoying and skilless as ever. Has the least missions. Still a great strategy game though. 3.5/5

It's a great game to pass the time, strategy and all that, however sometimes the game, for whatever reason, crashes in the middle of enemy activity. When I relaunch and try to continue that mission: it crashes in the same spot, this is a big inconvenience if you used some of your gold. This can be fixed by restarting a mission but it may reoccur even after that, which is very annoying, it is an issue I have never encountered in my time playing this game across multiple different devices.

I had the same experience as some other reviews on this page. The game will occasionally not let you advance past the enemy turn film and kick you out of the entire app. Even if you go back in and try again, that level is unplayable. This is really upsetting because you invest your time, gold, and money (if you chose to buy extra gold) into a level only to then have it thrown all away. It is really sad because this is an amazing game otherwise. Please fix this devs!

This series works better as a multiplayer game. As a single player game, the monetisation is quite bad. Gold is used not only to recruit units, but also to use tactics. In the mp mode, the amount of gold is chosen at the start. It's a hot-seat mode only tho, with a limited amount of maps. Gameplay-wise, this series is fine. It have some interesting design, like the aircraft and the ship layer. Here, they remove the transport truck, infantry & artillery are equipped with a vehicle mode instead.

The heavy tank, the Tiger is bugged on my matches. The Tiger doesn't shoot from the front of the cannon ,but from the side which is really annoying. Also, fix the mission "Strong Winds". When the game says to retreat to the eastern line of defense, the game crashes completely, becoming unplayable. Fix your game devs

Great game, completed it without paying for anything, which proves it's not "Pay To Play", although there are not a lot of missions, I could see you adding more and maybe a Scenario Creator? That would be cool to see. Anyways, great game, so keep it up! Also, looking at some other reviews, they are problems, but I'm OK with these problems mainly due to the fact this game keeps me Alert when playing it, which is something I really like.

I love this game from the variety of units to the missions. However, ever since getting past the first few objectives of the third German campaign, the game freezes and closes. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it carries over to other missions as well. This is a great game, I simply can't play it.

On campaign, mission: strong winds. the order was given to fall back to the eastern barricade, i took 2 turns and when it came time to let the enemy have a turn, the game froze and then brought me back to my phones home screen. it did this 5-6 times, it wont let me progress further. Also every mission you start out outnumbered and under equipped against the A.I., seems like it forces you to pay real money to equally if not outnumber the A.I. you go against.

It would be great if you could fix this game.. it keeps stalling and pausing then cuts out.. I have tried re-downloading it but it doesn't make a difference..

This game is awesome! I would say maybe even the best mobile strategy game I have ever played! There is only 4 things that would be great to ad into the game. 1st. Allow players to make their own custom battles for PvP 2nd. Allow engineers to make trenches 3rd. Ad the paratrooper planes from burning bridges(also awesome game) 4th. Make the maps a bit larger. These ones are ok but I have a feeling that for a multiplayer epic giant battle we would need a bit larger maps. Anyways great game.☺

If it could be lower it would b try fixing your game it turns it self off every time u try to switch turns and has been doing it forany days now why don't you fix it or take it off the market besides your other gamesvrvdoingvthevsamevthig fix it and they will not let you keep your prodress they keep going wayvbac to stuff u have all ready pass and completed fix it or get rid of it it's usless

Absolutely LOVE the game series on a unreal level, if more missions can be added for Deadly Desert, Pacific Front, and burning bridges I would be absolutely happy and grateful, more units, different scenarios, different environments. Please don't forget about us gamers!!!!

I rate it five stars, because I enjoy the strategy even though I'm bad. I often find myself playing on it on a long drive. It has one add at the top of your screen, but isn't in the way. No forced adds, and let's you play offline, I rate it 5 stars. I've had this game for years, and unlike one or more comments, it's only kicked me out once. And it even got me back to where I was.

Wonderful WW2 series but too many bugs that severally influence playing experience. Don't let your landmine in shadow area, or you will get kicked out once enemy units step on them. Then there are always Google cloud sync problems waiting for you, which completely cripple the function of uploading progress, though it ridiculously shows you "Downloading(?why) error".

Love the game and it's concept. My only complaint is that the game crashes in certain scenarios on certain maps and it typically is when I am doing very well and about to steam roll the opponent. Plz fix asap!

Best in the series, and ive been a fan since frozen front's first release. Some quick ideas(seen as your running out of time for ww2) 1940: the war in france. Then perhaps a ww1 series. Or a single game for the whole war. On a stretch maybe even a cold war series, in iraq and soviet invasion of aghanistan(maybe modern wars as well but i think you cant do after a certain year for political reasons) and vietnam war. Just quick ideas

This is the best of the whole series fielding 7 different types of Allied Tanks 6 different types of axis , 5 different types of aircrafts (please add a transport one too) and 3 different types of artillery pieces. I woild like to request the Devs to add more stages per missions. They are only 3 compared to pacific front 1942 which has 6 stages. Thankyou

I liked the graphics and the resupply system but thats it. I disliked the fog of war and the fact that the computer seemingly always knows where i am moving my units. Also that add constantly hanging above the game is super irritating.

When it comes to strategy this is one of the best games I can find, the amount of units can get confusing but a honest challenge for stratigests and I was able to beat the whole game without spending money so it's not pay to win.

Really!! I love handy games! I've played four of its games and all are amazing : deadly desert, burning bridges, frozen front & Pacific front! The different types of troops in it really makes it fascinating and you feel like you are a real ww2 general! Well! It should be given a 10 star if possible! No problem! No worries, just play!!! 😇👍🙂

Gameplay and controls are all great. But the game always crashes at a mission called Strong Winds. This happens when I try to end the turn. Please correct the error.

Good, interesting idea of the game. First stage too hard and too long, required donate. In same time lot of comercials. So i spend 2 hours to pass 1st stage, and i lost, all over again. No, better uninstall.

The game crashes too often especially the multiplayer maps which I play. And it gets frustrating as most times I can't complete the scenario's I've created. This should really be worked on.
