The overall features of this app is fine. But, when I open the app it goes fine but, after about one minute it automatically shuts down and takes me to the home screen and also If I try to record a video it records fine but when I open the recorded video it shows only a black screen on the video player and the audio of the video works fine. Please release another update of this app and fix all the issues I said on the update of this app. Thank you.
I would give this app 5 stars but sadly I have to give it a 1 why? Because if I film with the normal filter it only last 15 seconds before freezing and crashing and if I but in a different effect it only last 3 seconds when I film before it freezes and crashes please fix it and I will give it a five stars.
having lots of trouble with this app. every time I try to import video it doesn't work. it just says "an error occured! please try again." and every time I try to record video it doesn't record any footage. it just shows a blank screen with nothing. the only thing that works is taking pictures with the app. I really wanna give this 5 stars but it doesn't function properly at all. I feel like I wasted my money on this
I bought this app cause I loved developer's vintage camera apps paid version and loved it. I chose this app over another trending VHS app. I wont say this app is perfect cause it's good, here are some suggestions and lacks that developers should focus on to make it perfect. There should be more detail on sharpening and colors should be bit more brighter, more filters should be available, exposure should be adjustable and grain as well noise options should be available, then its perfect.
Nice filter app for a cheap price, but customization is lackluster and the app crashes if you record past about 9 minutes. The import process crashes the app if the file is large. One star. For 99 cents, you get what you paid for, if you know what I mean.
hello everyone! the new update fixes the import issues that said in previous reviews, i downloaded it when it was on sale, definitely worth it! no ads and in app purchases!! you can change the filter (original, b&w, red, bleach etc), spoof date, add title and you can choose turn them off as well!
Shooting videos works fine, and the effects are cool. There are multiple effects like a red tint or a "bad tv" effect. So that's fine. But every time you try to import a video it crashes.
Tried converting 3 existing short videos ranging from 11seconds to 1.30 and they all crashed out after a lengthy delay saying "Processing". Can't use phone whilst it is doing the conversion. Not great, sorry. Uninstalled.
I bought this simply for the nostalgia. A great cheap app with simple minimalistic controls. Has still images (photos) and motion (video) capturing with eight filters. Keep up the great work.
The app fantastic works perfectly fine. I just want to say that i recorded the video and the date was 1984. It would be a good thing if we can have a option to change it to present year.
The effect of twitchiness gives a really realistic feel. However, the white lines just don't look that great, and you can't remove them completely.
It's pretty good, but... If I tell it to make noise at negative numbers, I would expect the noise to be gone. It seems they there is always noise on screen, even if I choose a number lower than zero.
This app was perfect until I found it that it was NOT saving ANY pics and vids I took! I exported them numerous times and tried different directories but to no avail. Please fix this as soon as possible. thank you.
its good but what i would really like after trying half a dozen of these apps is to record a video only with a retro timestamp WITHOUT and effects on the video itself, so i can post process it on pc. that in an update would be most appreciated.
Simple but effective little app. Doesn't have all the features of the more expensive apps but does the job it sets out to do. Quick, intuitive and great fun!
Oh wow, what an app! Great for making old skool videos. Only problem is you can't change the time on the video capture just the date! Recommended for anyone who's ever owned or watched VHS !
Effect is cool! If only there is an option to control the number of lines. I remember videos from my old camcorder were mostly clean except when the head was dirty or i had reused the video cassette too many times
Shell: Galaxy S5 Rating: 0/5 Looks great on the surface, has a level of warmth to the color that rarevision lacks. The main issue is that it doesn't export videos properly, rendering it useless frankly. Fix it and I'll consider buying it.
I am not sure how often I will use it, but it works great and looks authentic! Good for paranormal activity spoofs. My only improvement would be to allow date and time format option for those of us living outside the US.
I need help. There is no audio on the videos you transfer. It works great and all but when I make videos or transfer to convert, there is no audio.
Love the visuals, and it really does feel 80s/90s VHS retro. The graininess of the video quality, the scratchiness, all of it was done right.

really nice app great for capturing moments and another nice feature is being able to play music while videoing and you can then hear the music in the video afterwards :)
Using the import video option just results in an endless 'processing. . .' message. The app is a waste of time and battery.
Great effects! I love them and the recorded video isn't too heavy! Awesome! I'd love a easiest menu to change the effects, like a list, instead of show us many screens
I downloaded this app to try it out, and it doesn't look like it's working, because all it does it shows a black screen. I try to import a video and still a black screen. So in conclusion, this app doesn't work for me.
It's super fun. Looks just like the old VHS camera footage I grew up with. The zoom buttons even zoom slow and smooth like the actual old cameras. I do wish there was an option to get rid of or at least reduce the wavy and vertical glitches. They are a bit much. How about it devs? Can we make that happen?!
