At the moment have to give it 3 stars. I can see the benefits of the app for frequent travelers, even paid up front as I would need the unlimited check-ins. BUT, on my first check-in, the app did not do its job. Everything was set correctly and ready to go in the app, 5 mins go by and nothing. The app stats "Check-in in progress, but watching and refreshing the airline website I can see that nothing has happened. For the particular airline in question, it is imperative that check-in happens as soon as possible to avoid getting pushed back in the boarding groups. I manually checked myself in after 6 or 7 mins of waiting for the app to do its job. After 13-14 mins I got an email from 1Checkin that I had been checked-in, which I already knew since I was the one who had done it. If the app\service allows you to select the time of check-in (which matched the airlines policy of 24 hours advance check-in, then why will it not perform the action at the specified time? Long story short, I paid for an app that doesn't truly "auto" check me in at the desired time when I could have saved the money and done it myself like I always have. Automation isn't always the way to go.
The app certainly checks you in at the earliest opportunity, but for Southwest, I'm fairly certain the Southwest system recognizes it's technology checking you in...because I got C5 and that never happens when I've checked myself in at the first opportunity. That makes it a bust.
