I've been playing this game every day but suddenly, today, the game screen has ZOOMED IN to the point where there's a whole column I can't see. Needless to say, I can't continue to play this way. I have fiddled with every setting I can think of to fix this, un/re installed, and restarted my phone. I've seen replies to other reviews like this and they are not the only ones having this issue. Please fix this bug so that o can give the 5 stars this app should have.
Updated the app recently and game became unplayable due to "zoomed in" effect where only a 3x3 section was visible on-screen. It became necessary to scroll up/down or left/fight to the rest of the board. Tried device resolution settings, uninstall/download, etc and couldn't fix issue. In the end, uninstalled 2048 for the final time.
Really addictive and satisfying game, even though it feels like it's rigged to spawn new squares in the most inconvenient places sometimes lol. Since you're making so many updates, can you add arrow buttons to use instead of swiping to make the game more accessable pls? There's probably more than enough space below the grid for 4 arrow buttons, just a suggestion
I also now have the super-zoomed in version. This is very disappointing as this is one of my favorite games. I'm relieved to see it's not just me, but sad that it means the app is busted. Uninstalling & reinstalling did not work. If they fix it, it will get the 5 stars it deserves. Update to include response to the developer: Thank you for that info - I didn't even know that was a setting I could adjust! However, my screen zoom was already set as low as possible so this didn't work for me. :(
Great simple game as always. Skippable ads throughout the game. I will admit it does get frustrating/annoying after awhile with the ads but since the app doesn't ask for permissions to your phone I'm okay with that. Most apps nowadays want all your data to sell so thank you dev! I appreciate that.
Greatest app I own I love this game with all my heart can the game developer please email me because I just love it so much it makes me a happy man. At the humble age of 32 years young it makes me feel alive and down with the kids. Can't get enough of it need a second game would give it a 50 if possible. Need a second game or update ASAP. PLEASE PLEASE. PLEASE. This is the highlight of my day.
I loved this game but it updated yesterday (3/17/2022) and now I can't use it. it's super zoomed in, I can only see a 3x3 box. I see a lot of developer comments saying to update the app but there's no additional update for Android/Google play. I'm very disappointed and hope it's fixed so I can update this review to 5 stars.
this game is absolutely amazing and pretty addicting but also pretty hard; haven't been able to reach the 4096 tile yet but that's the fun of it, cuz it wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't a challenge. anyways i hope you have a great day:)
You know what would be interesting? A version where you just played by colours, minus the numbers. Should be easy enough to roll out.
Great implementation of the game and develeper is quick to fix any issues. Works perfectly on my older OnePlus 5, but I'm having issues in Galaxy S22+ Exynos variant, the game studders too much.
A nice, simplistic game with few ads. It won't change your life, but it will pass the time and won't bombard you with ads. It's a fun game and I'd recommend it.
Very fun game to compete with my friends with. It would be nice to have google play achievements for even more competition, like reach the 2048 tile, do this in that many moves, or beat the game under 10 minutes, and more really!
please remove the ads after you "finish each level", they appear way too often+theres no way you want to make money off something that simple
I received the 4.8.2 update as advised to do and after that update the zoom is forced and I have lost visibility on an entire column. Had no problem until then on my new Motorola device.
It's a little laggy, which doesn't make sense for this type of game. Popping an ad between each game is quite shameless.
It was ok before ur update. I don't need you to tell me change my device. It says compatible with my android and you ruined after the last update. Fix it or change the android compatiblity.
Awesome game with weird zoomed out issue. Been addicted to this game for a long time and after the latest update the game is zoomed out. It's still played, but much less comfortable
Would've been 5 stars until today's update, which added video ads. Love the game, hate the ads. Would gladly pay a few bucks to get rid of the ads.
On Android 12, the screen is zoomed in and can't zoom out, blocking an entire column. Was a 5 star app, not anymore.
It has ads now unlike before but still super good. I hope there will be no ads in the middle of the game
App randomly changes display setting so that the entire board is not seen on the screen. Please advise.
I Iove this game 1 it has little to no adds 2 it is a really good and a simple game this is also one of the only creative and original game.
Short, sweet and simple. What you see is what you get. If I could make a recommendation to the developer - having the option to pay to remove ads can only expand your consumer base. I'd rather pay a dollar for an ad-free game than be subjected to ads for free. (That said, the ad placement is perfectly balanced as it is IMO, but I'd still like the option to stop having commercial programming broadcast at me)
I've always loved this game and come quite addicted to it. until the ads started popping up. if anything, no one likes ads. but especially on this game they're more annoying. it practically crashes every time I get one, and freezes up the screen. I used to love this app and play to calm myself down. the ads ruin it. :(
Ads can be slightly obtrusive but aside from that, it's fine. Classic 2048.
As per developer reply, I tried playing around with the swipe settings. There is still lag in between swipes. It takes a fraction of a second to even a whole second for the numbers to combine or for the boxes to move. The lags break the flow of my swipes, and defeat the purpose of playing the game. I really wanted to play this specific one since it's the original, but I'm disappointed, for now, because of the lag.
Simple and fun and no ads between games. What more do you want from a free game? Edit: I have no idea what happened but the game is unplayable now. It has zoomed in for some reason and there seems to be no way to change it. I even uninstalled and reinstalled but no change. Hope its fixed soon so i can change back to 5 stars!! EDIT: ITS FIXED LETS GOOOOO
