2048 Original

After playing a game, you'll watch an ad and be allowed to play again. Except that at this point the program freezes and everytime you try to reload, it will play another ad. Sometimes I will have to watch 6 ads before it loads a new game, sometimes I get annoyed and don't bother playing. And this last time I just decided to delete the app, I have better ways to waste my time!

Twice now my 8x8 board has reset. High score and all. I didn't do anything but close and reopen the app. Same as I always do when I'm finished playing for the time being. The first time it happened I had a score of over 4mil. The second time I had a score of over 6mil. None of the other boards are affected. Someone please fix this!! I'm not the only one this has happened to.

Fantastic game! Quiet addicting. I had played 4x4 before but now availability of bigger canvas is very alluring and refreshing too. Only one thing if could be dealt differently - once the game is over, it got me clueless how to get out of it and try again. If there could be some instruction page, it would definitely be a nice value add. This is just a suggestion on a lighter note as it is no way a bug. Great efforts! Keep up the great work. 🙏

It's a great way to pass time without it becoming so involved in how many lives or how much time I have left to play. At your own pace. Very easy to get caught up in it that time seems irrelevant. The reason for four stars is it doesn't save a game. It'd be nice to be able to pause/save a game to come back to it later or just to see again how high your score was. Suggestion: keep the 5 highest score in the "bank/vault" memory.

Edited review: I was up to 524,288 on the 8×8 board and had been playing for MONTHS but I opened the app today and all my progress was gone. The board was completely clear. I'm so annoyed. Original review: It used to only have an ad after finishing a game, but now it interrupts the game with ads while you're playing, every 30 seconds! Ridiculous.

Interesting how every time I get a really high score this game mysteriously resets itself to the beginning. Kinda annoying outcome to an addictive app. Tried reinstalling but just keeps happening. I'm done with it.

i love how much this game involves and challenges the brain. it's great for when i'm struggling with anxiety or depression and it even helps when i have flashbacks from my complex ptsd, which isn't an easy thing to do. the only issue is how many ads there are, but that's not really avoidable; gotta make it pay the bills somehow.

On 2 separate occasions I have spent months building up a fairly hefty score only to find the game wiped clean on the next day. Once reached over 6 million and on the next day I had a clean board with a high score of zero. I tried again, got to 2.6 million when the same thing happened. Not happy.

Had it for about a year. I mostly play 8x8 and let my kids mess with the other boards. I got my score up to almost 4 million and had a 131072 tile when it restarted my game. Months of casual down time gone. That happened once before, also near the same score and tile (I think the first time I may have had a 262144.) Google play shows my high score, but the 8x8 board now says high score is zero. Very frustrating, don't feel like I can trust investing in another big game.

Fun, but there are annoying glitches...once you reach 2048 and want to keep going to 4096, the "tap to continue" function does not really work. Sometimes it takes several minutes for the game to unfreeze and allow you to continue.

This app is addicting! I find it to be a really great mental exercise. The reason I only gave it 4 stars though, is because I would really love to have some more things to do in it aswell as more settings. It is pretty repetitive and after a while it can get pretty boring. Other than that though, I find it really relaxing and fun. Great game!

A few times my game reset on me high score and everything. A few times I won the game and when it said tap to continue and I tapped it didn't continue it froze until the app closed itself. These are the main reasons for my one-star review and uninstallation of this app.

Nice simple little puzzle with few adverts, no music and is relatively easy to win ( reach 2048) but to double it again (4096) is quite difficult: I've come close several times but only done it once. A good trick is to keep hitting the undo button until the right tile ( a 4 rather than a 2) comes up. Would be nice too if the undo allowed one to back up further than the last move.

The game is a bit buggy. After losing a game, it plays an ad, then pulls up a new game, but is frozen. When I try to reload, it plays another ad, and starts a new frozen game. It seems the only way I have found to consistently start a new game is to completely closed the app, start it again, get an ad, and then hope it works.

If you like brain teasers with a challenge this game knocks it out of the park! Super easy to learn. You can play for a short time or a long time. Ads are non invasive. I'm super addicted. I play every chance I get.

The way you can cheat in-game is using the following swipes repeatedly: Right, Up, Left, Down. I really enjoyed using the game and would recommend it to anyone that plays this, and no pop up ads are to be spoken of in this game. 5/5.

Was playing 3 by 5 game for weeks. Had the 65000 and the 32000 so not far off completion. Just went on it and it has reset itself and not even saved the score. Now says my high score is zero on 3 by 5 board, all the high scores for other boards have not been reset though. Really annoyed me and that's on the quickest board. Imagined if that happened on a big board after playing for months and months. Not worth the risk

Doesn't save progress. It's addicting enough so you can play for hours on end, but I've been using the 8x8 box and any time I've built up past the 524,288 box my game will get reset. I've gotten there twice and the game resets before I get that beautiful 1 million box. Deleting this game. Absolute waste of time.

The app reset my game several times when I had a very high score. I reinstalled app and that game was magically back to where I was. Then the last time it happened again I tried that again with no luck. Super glitchy...makes random moves that end up losing the game for me

Good implementation of this game. Could be a little smoother movement wise. Would like an option to adjust the colors. Also would like the ability to mute ads by default as they can be obtrusive depending on where I am.

Very fun game that you can play while you have some extra time (like between classes or something). Simple idea, but can take some actual brain power and focus if you want a really good score!

When getting high scores (100.000+) sometimes the game just resets even ig you havent lost and the record isn't saved. I dont want to keep playing if all my effort gets deleted.

So the game is glitching for me. The glitch happens when I swipe too fast that when I try to swipe once but the tiles moved thrice/twice. It made my strategy go messy and make me lose the pattern that I am going for. I can't reverse it since it moved twice or thrice. I am sad it ruined my high score.

The app is smooth and works great but I have it 3 stars because of the autoplaying ads with sound. It's a free app so I don't mind ads. But to have it automatically start playing sounds in an otherwise silent app is obnoxious.

Beat the hardest level on my second try. Everytime I swipe left it plays an ad then kicks me out of the game. Accidentally clicked on the award button in the menu and it wiped out the game board I've been playing for a week. I was at 1,400,000. Uninstalled. No point in playing anymore.

It's a good time waster but there are lots of ads. I mean it's to be expected but i find the amount of ads to be annoying. They happen when lose and when you start a new game. And are at the bottom of the screen as well. That all being said. It is a challenging puzzle game and I enjoy that part of it.

Sometimes registers double swipes, which can ruin the game (you swipe once, but the game thinks you swiped twice, in two directions). The undo button can be abused to get new blocks exactly where you want them.
