23andMe - DNA Testing : Health & Ancestry

The app takes ages to load every single screen. The family tree building is super wonky. In general the product offers good insights and they look reliable, I'm satisfied on that. But the way the expose them is not intuitive. Oh and the chat really needs some work. The user experience is poor in general, I would rather use the browser. My critique is only regarding the app, the web version is great and the product is one of the best for sure.

The app needs a little more work. When switching tabs for new information it's often slow in loading but it has a beautiful UI. I'd just like to see the pages load quicker if possible. Thanks to the team that made this app possible and designed it.

The app overall is very useful,highly recommended.There is a learning curve concerning navigation within the layout of the application,however,it's not overly complicated.Ive never experienced any crashes or being booted from the 23&Me app. I've yet to utilize the desktop site and have had all my needs met through the use of the application.

Tried registering a kit for like 20 minutes on multiple devices, kept getting stuck on a preferences screen after giving consent....ended up giving up and doing it online instead, can't recommend an app that fails at letting you register

I was told 23 and Me was the best overall to learn about my genetic history, so I paid more for the deluxe program for life. I've been happy to contribute to your medical research, however I would expect this should be available to me without an additional $29 fee every year. While I like to help with your survey. I am 80 years old and on a limited income. It seems this should be available for free as I bought the initial program this was to include more health info. I'm very disappoi

I HATE single view apps! I prefer to view items in landscape mode, especially when viewing on a tablet and hate it when an app only allows you to view it in portrait mode. I'd rather uninstall the app and access the website in Chrome.

This app is great for quick views and showing folks little highlights, but you still need to get on a computer to see the finer details. After all, there is a LOT of information generated with this test. Have fun, learn and share with those worthy.

Easy, clean, and simplified very well. Only issue is that some reports fail to load. Not sure what causes that but it eventually worked.

Being curious by nature, this app has been very helpful to trace back to my ancestor's genetics and what I have acquired from them. Each time a research update enlightens me about myself. The tool asks simple questions for the analysis purpose and the results are terrific, thank you.

Great app and no issues. Nice UI but kind of disappointing it's horizontal scrolling for reports. It's probably personal preference but it seems more intuitive to be vertical.

The 23 and me app has a lot of options for exploring your personal data and reports on health and relatedness. It's fun, and easy to use, and the views are pretty well optimized for mobile. It's not just a simpler version of the desktop site. My only complaints are, it's a bit slow. And the family tree quickly gets useless, a few generations back, because it can't handle cases of consanguineous marriages, double first cousins, or other kinds of multiple relationships.

The app is nice, a wide range of features. Sometimes I wish the algorithms could produce more information or hypothesis for those of us who are searching for relations.

Good app for finding the details on relatives and genetic timelines. The specificity of the regions could be improved a lot. It's too general.

having this app has been sensational! It has allowed me to be able to go straight into my 23 andMe acct to get any and all info that I need to get. It also just makes it alot easier and convenient to access the info. The setup is alot easier to find anything your looking for compared to the website. My Uncle, Aunt, & Cousin bought the 23 andMe Kit it's a gift that keeps giving! I LOVE it! AND it's a alot to take in on learning about yourself. So be ready to know urself well & ur fam, it's GREAT!

2 issues: I get notifications of a message when I tap the notification it takes me to the home screen and the bell icon does nothing, it doesn't work. Second issue is that shared matches don't show the percentage of DNA shared between them. So you have to go to the website on a PC to get all the information.

Amazing, i have always wanted to know my background and family background. It was so cool learning about this and even finding out i have Neanderthal! 10/10 recommended doing this and keeping the app. They have so much information on how things work and how even simple things can come from genetics.

Simple fast interface. There was an update a while back that was confusing at first but after thinking about it, it made things easier to find

Update: issue was fixed, I do not know what was done but the app is no longer kicking me out or forcing me to uninstall/reinstall. Latest update seems to have focused on assisting a more diverse pop. Can not wait for the next update! Might want to partner with Living DNA or M&A

Fairly easy to use, sometimes I forget where certain things are. It took a lot longer to get my results than other people. I wish you didn't have to get the health upgrade to get the plus upgrade. There's just more I'd like to see, but I'm sure you guys will get there in the future.

Good experience. I use it to view my results. There are areas in the app where you can go to read more information about different topics and it's all organized.

I like using this app. It gives a basic breakdown of my ancestral origins as well as a few basic conclusions about my potential proclivity to certain conditions. I think one thing that could make it better- continue to release more reports on health predisposition at maybe 1 or 2 reports a year (esp for users who periodically complete surveys but didnt buy into annual+ subscriptions). Just an incentive.

Displays my genetic information in well organized, fun and easy to read way. Has a lot of useful information about DNA, genetics, health, lifestyle. I am a little addicted to answering genetic research questions - it is fun and it relaxes me.

Super easy to navigate I was emailed everytime a new step was completed and always updated on the progress. Met and connected with family I never knew 🤗

The Android app is a complete waste of time when trying to set up your account apparently you can't get past certain parts of setup because it gets stuck .. not a good start with me here 23andMe

There are many glitches when trying to register the kit and complete profile. Once you get past that step, it's much better.

This app is wonderful! You get notifications about new relatives, you can take part in research questions on many topics and they keep updating and adding new information! And they answer questions when you need help! Very impressive and helpful information!!!

Easy to navigate and the results are interesting enough it makes me want to do research. Just wish it was easier to figure out who my father's, father.

APP 8S GOOD, BUT... I wish I could set up a separate account. We tested as a family, and it would be nice to have my account separated out.
