2G-3G OnOff

2G-3G OnOff
- simple widget(1x1) for changing network mode
It's shortcut(blame google for that) for network system settings which allows you change 2G-3G and data roaming mode with 2 clicks instead of 4

How to add widget:If you on HC, ICS or Jelly Bean:Open All Apps -> Select Widgets tab -> Find widget in the list

For older versions:Long click on empty space on your home screen -> Widgets -> Select widget from the list.

If widget doesn't appear on the widget list:it is a bug in launcher, try to restart it:Settings -> Apps -> Running tab -> Click on Show Cached Processes -> Select Launcher From the list and click Stop.Try to re add widget

NOT FOR CDMA PHONES

The app is great but it brings a bug after taking it in use. Whenever a mobile call ends the mobile network settings screen pops up, not the main screen as it should. If this bug could be fixed, then I would give five stars. The phone is Sony Ericsson Xperia arc S.

After switching to LTE on my LG G3 phone my phone service went on to disabled and i couldnt even change it back to another network, but 2g 3g on off helped me out really... Thanks so much

For people like me, who have very limited data plans, this is a godsend for letting me switch 3G on and off. I'm glad it doesn't take up a lot of space on my phone, too. (And no, not all phones have a handy switch like this, which is exactly why it's useful.)

It's unbelievable Android still doesn't support quick 2G-3G switch, instead you have to do 5 clicks and swipes, which is completely retarded for so often used command. This little widget solves this problem.

I'm on ICS and all this does is install an icon which leads to a help summary telling you how to install the widget. The problem is that no such widget can be found whether you follow the provided instructions or check your widgets list. Waste of time.

On Jelly Bean 4.2.1 (Nexus 4), this takes changing this setting from 1 swipe and 5 taps, to just 2 taps. Since 3rd party apps can't change this setting directly, it's just a shortcut to the specific settings screen when you can check/uncheck the "Use only 2G networks" setting, which is perfect. Thanks!

After lollipop update 2g 3g switching it's the only thing missing. This app for perfectly.. //Old//This app basically creates a shortcut to the mobile data settings. It is useful. After installing power toggles app which does this and lots more, I'm uninstalling this app

I wanted to give 5 start, but not now bcoz its not working for my sim-2 in dual sim phone. while its working fine for sim-1. please make this short cut automatically open network connection setting for selected sim. Will come back to rate 5.

Usefull but not as good as it is supposed to be. Needs 3 clicks... i stead of being a one click switch

Lesser clicks to do the job but the change screen appears after every call on its own. Very annoying.

Useful one to quickly switch to 3g. Would have liked more if it directly turns 3g on and off (not sure if possible) instead of redirecting to settings and me turning on and off from there again.

I don't have nothing but data enabled or disabled this app is useless especially when I have straight talk and my internet is only 3g but I went over my my data limit so I am now only getting 2 g data and it's showing 3 g at the top of my screen now if y'all could make 3g go to 2g that would be great.

Does not work on Highscreen Boost IIse. It can open one of two settings pages, but none of those has the 2g/3g switch in it. Android 4.3.

A very helpfull app. Dont have to go to setting anymore. Just one click and there you go to switch your network data

Is a must have if you spend some time within poor coverage areas. No do what promises with a simple click instead of several touches and swipes... Cyanogen includes this feature as quick configuraciĆ³n button!

Good app but with the option to get to the mobile data settings from the notifications, it makes this app redundant. It was a great app but I won't be needing it anymore!

Not as good as a 1-click switch would be, but still saves some time.

Used to work on my old phone. In my Xperia E running ICS it just opens a help page and nothing else.

One of the must have app. No ads, not heavy on the battery usage, user friendly and best of all, got the job done. What more can we ask for...

Does what it's supposed to. Very helpful. I wish the widget would change color to indicate either data on/off, or global data roaming on/off, at the user's choice.

Sup. U. Dec 13, 2016

it just opens android settings where you can change 2g or 3g as preferred network type, i thought it would change 2g<>3g in one click...

A. G. u. Nov 10, 2012

It hits the spot, at least for me. It could be better if its an off/on switch, anyway, you deserve five stars.

His. H. May 27, 2015

This app simply opens the mobile data screen. It does not automaically change the network mode as that is not allowed by google api. For some phones, it might be usefull, but for me, I can easily access the same screen by long press the mobile data icon in my window shade.

Jas. Apr 26, 2013

I know this works on other phones but this doesn't work on my note 2. I can only turn it on and have 4g, I guess its providers option. So 5 stars haha!

Easy and quick shortcut to Network mode and 2G/3G settings with one click. Good for powersaving 2G mode when fast 3G internet is not needed

There is a bug, its taking 2x1 space on my home screen on my moto g5. Possibly because resource size is little too big for the specification.

Alb. B. Feb 23, 2014

Its purpose is limited by Android's system itself, but other than that, it's really useful to go instantly into network setting and switch between 2g and 3g. I hope in future they will be able to make it a one-tap action

A. G. u. Oct 21, 2012

since I use Android 4.1, I don't need it anymore, but was a very good helper all the time before.

Jos. D. Jan 9, 2014

It basically just takes it a few steps for you. A one click toggle from 4->2G would be nice.

Vis. S. Dec 17, 2013

It should have been just a switch on/off button instead of taking it to another screen. But overall, very simple and handy...
