2ndLine - Second Phone Number

This app and Text Now use to be the best ones available. Idk what the developers keep doing but they both become so unreliable. I use them for business to save money. That's what they are made for right?! Don't offer a product which people rely on if you can't keep it working properly. It's not loading now. I can't receive text or calls no matter if I uninstall and reinstall and clear the cache, etc. Please fix this!

We have been using the paid version for about a year now, and it's awful. Calls don't ring half the time. Call quality is unreliable; I can hear the person on the other end but they can rarely hear me.. even with an excellent wifi connection and elastic calling enabled.

Calls come through, but I'm not notified of most texts. Ads are frustrating because I can't pick up an incoming call while the ad is playing (missing calls). Suddenly the app says I've violated the terms of use and my acct is frozen, and my number has been disposed of. No indication of what they think I've done. Customer service is only available by email and hasn't opened mine (according to my email tracker) that I sent 2 days ago. Uninstalling.

Free app! At times I have connection issues and I can't receive text messages at times. Maybe the paid version is better. Honestly I can't complain 2ndLine the only totally free second line app around. The others make you pay upfront $40 and some are not any better and you may not get a refund. I'm just saying you get what you pay for. In this case it's free so I cut 2ndLine some slack with a 4 ⭐.

Pretty easy to use. Love the service so far (new user). Sometimes calls take a minute to ring the phone being called. The only thing I'd like to see in a future update is separating calls from messages into different tabs and ability to change incoming messages notification tone/sound.

Started off working ok but this experience has changed and the experience is awful. In order to keep it, you have to be active, sending texts, making calls, receiving calls, ect , however, even after doing all this, my number if over 2+ years was reassigned. This number was given to medical providers, businesses, ect. Its impossible to contact a real live person regarding issues and only replies that are given, are automated, unexplained, robotic replies. This app doesn't reasonably accommodate

If your into waiting this is the app for you. If not ... you may want to go with a slightly different app. I understand the advertisements and so forth but the number of times the adds pop up is just ridiculous. And thank God it wasn't an emergency, I'd still be waiting

If I could give this app -1 stars I would. I use it as a second line and it NEVER works properly. Calls dropped, cant hear people most of the time, keeps freezing, and takes forever to open a message. I'm so over this app. Its totally useless...and it costs $14.99 per month now. It use to be $3.99. Just a suggestion....Fix your app with the extra money you're fleecing people for.

I'm paying for this yet every time I make or receive a call, when it tries to connect I get a beeping noise. Texts work fine. If this isn't fixed, I'll cancel my sub and find another service. ETA: as if the time writing this, there is no update available

You got to be where to take off your scam guard on your phone because anything you forward from this number will come up as scam. It's best to forward the number because the second line has a hard time connecting. Unfortunately I'm now locked in with this number and I have it on my business cards but when my cards run out I will not be renewing with second line I have downgraded my rating to one star because this app does nothing but freeze.

This used to be a great app but has progressively gotten worse with each update. I can't even answer calls because the app won't ring I just get notified that I missed a call. The there's the adds that completely take over my phone. Seriously thinking of uninstaling.

This is a great app. I am a Canadian currently living in Mexico and needed a Canadian phone number for multiple reasons. This app provided me that number. I've never had any issues with texting. I did have problems initially with calls as I was using a VPN, and when I reached out to customer service they responded within a day and informed me that I needed to turn off my VPN when making calls through this app. They were very helpful and responded quickly.

I'm having problems disconnecting after I make a call through this app. How do I hang up the call. It Interferes with my phones sounds. They go on mute and when I check my phone sound in settings it says I cannot play sounds while call is in session.

Just started this and 2 big problems: 1) I cannot receive the confirmation code from FB, which is why I got this number 2) The "email us" when pressed is just an error code. Definitely can't recommend this service, and would never consider paying for anything, obviously.

Horrible! They care closing the accounts without giving any reasoning and just saying you have violated our terms. This is the worst service. I was using the 2nd line number as my primary number and now you can imagine, with me having no access to that number. This is a scam! I was their customer with hundreds of credit in account that all is gone without any reasoning. I am taking some legal actions against them and I hope you guys remove this before its too late.

Until today I would have said five stars but today I got a new phone and tried to download this app again and I am now stuck on a frozen screen which will not actually allow me to finish getting my number. Please if somebody knows how to get past this it's a little pop up that goes over list available local numbers with little bullseyes besides them which I would imagine I'm supposed to be able to click upon before any pop-up comes up but I do not seem to be able to do so. Thank you

I have tested at least 12 similar apps. This is by far my favorite as it relates specifically to overall call quality, being able to text, send MMS, Block unwanted calls, etc. I use it primarily for online dating to protect my identity, selling items online, and so much more. Don't recommend using it for two-factor authentication, as many companies will not recognize the number as a carriers number. 4.5 stars out of 5 for me.

The app is great, clear calls, etc. But when I tried to log back in, it required to check box of service agreement which wasn't possible because instead of check mark, it opened the website as if I clicked on the agreement. There was no way to contact support or anything!

I have had this app forever with no problems, now I can't log in and forgot password option is not working. It started wigging out about 2 months ago when I was getting calls on my phone....I keep thinking how do these bill collectors have this number now (looking for Angela Finks for the past 5 years) so I called the apps phone number and boom it went right to my cell phone. They say free but they told me in my state they have to charge me for credits because it's a 605 number and there's nothing they can do about it. Because it's the way the numbers are set up here? Hahaha yeah right that makes no sense. It's their numbers so they can decide to allow access and the price regardless of WHERE the number is from! Greedy lieing company that makes half of it's customers pay and half not just so they can advertise free on the app store!

Don't bother downloading this app because if you have any problems you can't even contact them to inform them. There are certain numbers that will not be blocked no matter how you try because they switch the number every time and this app cannot catch them

Ads are incredibly annoying and intrusive, it also sucks how often it reassigns your number. I am using this backup phone number in case of unwanted contact with a creep I know. If the phone number keeps changing, they'll know something is up. Changing the phone number on people like this without warning is potentially very dangerous for their safety.

The app works well but its disgusting how it keeps showing ads for only the apps I currently have on my phone.... seems like a waste of time showing ads if you are just advertising my phone to me ffs

Just needed it for a temp phone number to use for YouTube verification. Only app that allowed it and didn't tell me I had to pay for premium. Pls keep it that way 🙏 Besides the obnoxious ads, this worked great.

Oh my! I'm not sure what's happening here, but my 2ndLine number keeps ringing on my main line. I've already informed customer service before and they fixed it, but now it's happening again. I'll just have to delete the app and find another one that works. I'm using 2ndLine as a work number and being able to keep work and personal calls separate is very important.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I tried to sign up with my email and a password with more than 8 characters, uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols and when I hit the "Sign Up" button it highlights my password and says "An error has occurred." Completely useless.

Omg! What's with the ads. There's already quite many ads. But 3 back to back fullscreen ads after every single call is a big overkill. And 2 of these being video ads. Certainly not an ideal situation. ---+++--- Most recent update has made the app painfully slow.

Signed up, no problem. Went to use it 5 minutes later, I have to sign in again. When I enter my username and password, it says "this account has violated our terms of use, and the account and number are no longer available." I never sent a text or made a call, what did I violate?
