3D Fox, Printer/CNC Controller
3D Fox is simple to use, has a clear and meaningful log screen and works great on small/inexpensive devices as well.
Developed with a Reprap Prusa i3 with Mega2560 + Ramps + Marlin/Repetier + Slic3r, Wifi module ESP8266 and BT module JY-MCU, it should work with many other HW/SW combinations.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
• Web interface to upload and print files from your PC/Tablet browser over the network.
• Take back control of SD card printing jobs after losing connection with the printer. You can use this feature to manager several printers with the same device: start a print job on printer A, then do something else on printer B, finally go back to printer A and take back control of the pending printing job.
NOTES:
• You must put your G-code files in \3DFox directory of your Andorid device. Use a file manager (we recommend ES File Explorer) to move files from their original location to \3DFox
• 3D Fox does not work with MakerBot or other printers using a proprietary communication protocol.

Very good app. my use case is that I have my old phone (with wireless debugging turned on) connected to my printer with USB. For Skr it also mounts the printer SD card as "removable media". When the printer starts, the phone turnes on and the adb turns on. I connect to the adb over network with "scrcpy" so I can control the phone over internet. I start an FTP server on the SD card from the phone. And move Gcode file to the print r SD card Go to 3d fox and start a print from SD card
I just started using this with my MP Select Mini and it is working great!!! I was able to connect to my printer, select a gcode file from the SD card, and start printing it. It uses my home WiFi, so I don't have to sign up for anything or buy anything to get it to work. ( I will most likely buy the Pro Version). I am going to connect the printer to an Alexi enabled outlet. Then I will be able to turn on the printer, select and start printing from a different room or away from home!
1st app that has successfully been able to connect and control my RepRap using android. Good for testing printer functions. If this could someday control everything like my actual printer control screen this would absolutely be amazing. You could turn your old android phones and tablets into a full color touch control pad for Printer builds
I bought a cheap CNC off ebay, tried all afternoon to get my PC to control it. Then I tried connecting the CNC to my phone to see if I could get it to work with it. Tried a few apps they didn't work. Then I tried this app, and it worked first try. AWESOME APP!!!
Great app! I can control the printer with my phone, via BT or WiFi. Super convenient for printer setup and tuning. Custom buttons are very useful. Webserver is simple, but does a fair job.
This app is rad. I use it to diagnose and work on my printers. Really useful. Pretty much anything you wanna do with a printer you can do it. Built in webserver is a great touch.
Perfect! I do not use any other app or program to control my printers. Been using this app for controlling me 10 printers for last 3 years. I would give it 10 stars if possible.
*Connect* button should be shown like a button, not plain text on top. It took me 40 minutes to realise that it's a button to start connection. Over all very good app.
Been using it for more than 4 years. I would not use any other app. Actually, don't even use printer's own HMI, only use 3D Fox. Perfect app.
Keeps crashing with monoprice mini select with pro version but apparently it isn't compatible with my printer.
This is a great app! Unlike other apps, it connects to my Monoprice MP Select Mini no problem and works like a charm!

Excellent for adjusting printer amongst other useful things on my Marlin Anet A8. In need of a facelift though. UI feels aged on my S8 Plus. I have now purchased the property version.
Seems like a good app. Just doesn't work with Bibo 3D printers. Hope it may one day though.
Super easy to use and is pretty straight forward!
Wanted to use an old Transformer (Android) tablet with keyboard dock to control my new Tarantula (Marlin) 3D printer. Worked a treat! Connected a USB hub to the single USB port on the tablet keyboard dock as I also want to run a USB wireless mouse off the same port. No problems! App detected the port and Marlin and controlled all aspects of the printer functions. Was even able to access the gco files on the printer console's SD card. Unlike other similar Android apps the developer has a generous "try before you buy" policy, in case the app won't work your particular 3D printer. Very impressed.
Great app, very useful for sending G-code to printers with my tablet. Very responsive developer. I fully recommend this app.
Love the app so much, but how do I make a custom start/end gcode for my printer, so it starts and ends as it would using cura???
Love it! Love love love it. You did a fantastic job coding this. Found my printer immediately and had zero issues whatsoever. If I had one wish I would ask that when you issue a Gcode or Mcode command that the screen would immediately switch to the console page and when you came back to issue more commands, the text just entered would have disappeared instead of stayed there. (Maybe you could make it where you issued commands right on the console screen?) Best app I have found in the play store!
