3D Geeks makes browsing Thingiverse a pleasure. It adds missing features such as the ability to move items between collections. The only complaint I have is threading in comments a somewhat awkward to see and click through. Otherwise it is better in every way. The premium version was worth the cost to me both to support the developer and to access the extra features.
First off, the app is true to its word and is a great browser for Thingiverse. However there is a bug that is currently a problem that, when tapped, the notifications that "[User] started a [Topic] in the [Group Name] group" just take you to the home page of the app rather than the topic or even the group page. If this could be fixed it would be great!
I have the paid key for 3d geeks. The app used to work well. Now I can't find the downloaded files. The app is saying it's downloading but when I check the folder it's always empty nomatter what I download. I have tried contacting support multiple time without a single reply.
Search no longer yields results, and only about two pages worth of models load in "new things" or "popular things". I know Thingiverse's site is garbage (which is why I purchased this app), but now this app is even worse than the site. Pixel 3. Update: The issues persist. I sent an email to the address listed. Feel free to contact me for follow-up.
Everytime I use the search bar the app crashes, even after reinstalling it (several times). I don't know what has been done to the app but it has been made far worse!
Loved this app, but now it crashes can't even transfer a file I've done what they have said and it still crashes! Hoping they get it fixed! Then I'll give them back a 5 star.
The apps is great, but it feels a bit weird that the adds are not disabled when the premium version is purchased. Also; is it possible to disable the "posted from 3d geeks app"-message? This also feels like my every message is an add for this app. is there a way I can disable these comment messages? EDIT: Developer responded quickly and told me how to disable the sigmature, great! Changed from 3 to 4 stars. If these settings wouldn't be enabled by default it would be 5 stars.
It's an alright app for viewing things from Thingiverse, only bad thing that is really annoying is sharing a link from thingiverse.... it doesn't share direct thingiverse link but it makes itself an advertisement by linking to their own page first, with only a small link on the bottom leading to the thingiverse page.... shameful.
got free code in maker box, was kind of complicated but i eventually got it, makes the app so much better. edit: when I put in the code normally it only brought me to the page, and i did that a few times until i found a button to redeem the code from your page which worked. edit 2: i followed the instructions on the leaflet, but it brought me to the problems above. Thanks!
This is ridiculous, the app doesn't even hide the ads... (Edit) Answer is quick and concise, doesnt make much sense to disable ads manually but hey, you can do it Would be nice to have a top menu with quick main categories
Not sure where the problems are app loads just fine pictures come up. If I were to ask for anything it'd be ability to modify/upload using the thingiverse account.
After latest update in main up getting banner saying "tired of seeing ads? Upgrade to premium..." I've already done that...unless there's premium premium? [Edit: and just like that it's been fixed, can't fault that kind of responsiveness!!]
Purchased a key and everything worked great until the latest update. Stays in portrait view and crashes. Very disappointed.
Asks for the Thingiverse browser, then sends me to a "Item not found" page on Google Play. On top of that, I already have Thingiverse installed. Guessing it's due to an out of date link...but this completely blocks use of the app.
So far so good, definately works better than Thingiverse itself. Is there an easy way to login to Thingiverse with a Google account. I keep going to the thingiverse login and it won't let you.
Used for quite awhile accidentally Uninstalled. Now unable to login with my Google account. I was able to quickly click the Google login button before it disappeared and I get a. Error 403: disallowed_useragent
The support app is just fine and seems to work okay, I just wish they would give you the option to hide it from the App Drawer like SD Maid and other apps do.
Great App for better access to thingaverse. I don't purchase many apps but happy to support this one and unlock premium features (as well as remove ads)
Fantastic app. Well worth supporting the devs for the experience. I always have more projects in the queue than I have time for because of this app.
Was working great until i went premium. No it has a lot of trouble loading anything to even view let alone print.
I bought this to be able to print using my phone but it says you dont have a sliser on your octoprint. When i searched, it says that slisers have been removed from latest octoprint releases!
Love this app, but the latest version just constantly force closes. Hope it gets fixed in a future update.
Used to be a great app, but now every time I tap on the search bar it crashes. So far no response from the developers
Beyond poor, avoid. Search does not work, app is basically non functional.very regrettable purchase based on empty promise of the app being repaired, refund window closes and nothing
Since January i cant download anymore files they just dont load and doesn't appear anywhere try contact support but never answer
Since update does not work does not download files
It's great app if you get Premium, but you need to disable the ads, signature and watermarks manually after installing premium, which is a bit shady. Other than that, the app is great. Edit: I just wish I could change order of items in collections or change the size of the grid icons. Edit 2: I understand the need for advertising one's product, but it seems a bit excessive to me. Like above mentioned manual disabling the stuff, but also sharing a link doesn't just copy the link but also mentions the app with the emoji in its name, which kind of bugs me a bit too. So when sharing I have to delete that text before having a functional direct link.
