3G Watchdog - Data Usage

**Update** no longer actively developed** some inconsistencies compared to emui 8.1 OS native statistics, mostly google services and tethering. App serves to analyze usage, not to sell a service like most others I found, also it doesn't try to route traffic through a vpn which is just a bad idea. I didnt find a single app that came close to the pro layout and features. Only wish it had metered wifi option!

Have used this app for years and it works wonders. Trying to install on a new phone and giving error that it is built on older version of Android and may not work properly. Unable to open the app after this. If this issue is resolved, this app definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

3G watch dog is no longer capturing facebook data usage. FB does not appear on list of app usages. Recieved message about excessive FB data usage from ??? but nothing in 3GWD Makes the app kinda useless now. Worked fine until I noticed it not getting updated with FB data today Galaxy Note 8. App has not been updated since 2018

UI can be improved, but in terms of functionality it works perfect. It's smooth, precise, accurate, versatile, overall, excellent app. Just was I was needing. Great job dev team. <3

Vert well designed app. One of the best data counters. With Android, it needs to manage additional options : Different data plans for two SIMs, free data during weekends, different options and data plans for roaming, data widgets...

I've used this app for a long time and really liked it, but with the recent upgrade to Android 9 the data counter seems out of whack. It indicates far more usage than my service provider does (3G Watchdog 2.1 GB, Service provider 1.3 GB )

Basic, very easy and simple to select settings. As soon as I open the app, the 2 visual bar charts tell me everything I want to know.

The app used to work pretty fine for me until I upgraded my phone to Android 9 ,since then the "Real Time Traffic Display" feature has stopped working even though I have given the app all the permissions it needs.

Good app, one of the few with a working widget. However, the widget options are very limited, it would be good to have a 4x1, 2x2, and perhaps more.

It was working in a great way when I was using single sim. But when I inserted 2 sims, it was not showing the data log even though I was using data from only 1 sim. Please check this issue. Otherwise the app is really great.

I'm also seeing overcounting with this app (around 30% too high) with a Nokia 3 and android 8. I tried emailing the address in the known problems section of this app and that email bounced (website doesn't seem to exist either)!

I'm sure this app is great for those who want to study the metrics of EVERYTHING on the phone, but it's impractical for the rest of us who want to see what app is using data, or yet alerts about apps that suddenly use a lot. It should be simplified like Google mattress their apps.

I used this app with my first android phone. Now, when i need data usage meter app, this app is the most useful. The GUI is not changed since first i used it and felt bit old compared to other app with more eye catching GUI. But regarding functionality, this app is the most complete app compared to the others.

Good App. One critical issue: When Mob-Data is used on PC via Hotspot; it counts it as 'Uploads' only. Whereas Carriers consider it Download. kindly add option for this.

So far not working on Android 10. Hope there is an update soon. Been using this app for about 8 years. Hate to uninstall it. Really good app. Just not for Android 10 yet.

Looks good but that's all, if you are using this it's because you need to know how much data you have used, in which case you need an accurate reading - this app gives totally false readings so no point in having it really.

BEEN USING 3G WATCHDOG FOR MORE THAN 6 YEARS, I MUST SAY THIS IS THE BEST MOBILE DATA USAGE APP IN THE MARKET, NO REGRETS SUPPORTING THE DEV WITH PRO VERSION. 👍 THE 3 STARS IS TO LET THE DEV KNOW THERE ARE SOME ISSUES FOR SOME DEVICES (INCULDING MINE) AFTER ANDROID PIE UPDATE. AND ALSO PLEASE ADD THE OPTION FOR MOBILE DATA SHARING PLAN THAT THE SIM CARD IS ON ANOTHER DEVICE. PERHAPS LIKE A CODE THAT LINKS THE INFO BETWEEN TWO DEVICE, LIKE ANOTHER APP IS HAVING.

No longer usable... I used to have this app for years... Out of the blue, it keeps crashing and not functioning anymore... It's truly unfortunate...

The app crashes after I get android 10 upgrade on my nokia phone; till date was working good, but was counting data for next day from 11:45 p.m. onwards (instead of 12:00 a.m.). Right now the website no longer exists. (showing 404_error).

Version 0.44.4 on Remix using Android 6.01. This application worked as expected, which was not the case of 2 other applications that I tried (My Data Manager -Data usage, and Glasswire: these 2 applications were showing no data usage)

Flawless experience for 3-4 years. Love it, love how you can costumize the info it presents you on the widget. Stopped working with android 10 though. :-(

Doesn't work on Android 10 (4g / 3g), only on wifi. Does collect usage data but will only show you if you're on wifi. Previously a great app.

Fails to understand that dual-SIM phones exist. So it's useless because it can't do something that Android's settings can do by default.

Did work brilliant. First Android App I ever got in 2011. Now it just doesn't work properly, doesn't measure the data right. That's all is supposed to do! Fix it please please please!

Thanks for watching me for 2 years- none of problem until last 3 weeks, sometimes I got ghost number, 3GWD tell me I waste 2GB, but when I check it only 700MB used Its happen frequently and f*#k- its annoying because I'm so relaying on this app so much. Not anymore-

Absolutely useless, but was good. I stopped using my mobile data when I saw that I had apparently used 3.7 GB out of 4 GB. When I checked my mobile phone site, I saw that actually I had used only 1621 MB. How way out can this so-called counter actually be? Uninstalling.
