3G Watchdog Pro - Data Usage

Amazing app and works very well with Android 8 and below. Works on most Android 9 devices, but not all (e.g. works with LineageOS and "some" Samsung). It is useless (broken) on Android 10 and above. Check-out "Data Counter Widget" which has similar functionality, features and so far appears to work will all Android versions (as of the date of this rating). Personally, I prefer 3G Watchdog and hope that the developer updates the app at some point to work properly with latest Android versions.

Hi, Have been using the app for several years now, delivers the best results. Yesterday, after an Android update to Version 10, the app has started to misbehave, it keeps crashing every time Mobile Data is activated. Have uninstalled and cleared data too, yet the issue persists. Kindly look into the matter. Regards,

This app has worked like a charm for me for years. However, it no longer works on Android 10 unfortunately. If an update is released I'll reinstall, but I can't justify the process running in the background when it just crashes on open. Worked great on Android 6 through 9.

This app was very reliable but it has failed to count my data usage per day for the 2nd time now. It shows zero. I think your app stopped working properly. The first time this happened, I just reinstalled it and that was just a few weeks ago. Can't be reinstalling this over and over again. Please let me know what I can do or what help I can get from you, if any. Thanks

Absolutely awesome! Love the detailed breakdown of the data usage especially per app/daily. Really helpful if you need to keep a watch on your mobile data usage. Especially when traveling to maybe change the habits on a trip or change settings for some apps.

I Like the fact you can select certain apps from global totals. However widgets need some work as very basic. Option to have a data notification with upload/download and total used/remaining in the dropdowns and on top bar alerting you immediately to excessive data consumption by certain apps. Thanks.

While I don't have to use this app now because of my unlimited data plan when I needed it, it served me extremely well. The reports were well designed and relevant, the exclusion list worked life a charm, the developer was responsive. Thank you for building a useful program like this!

Since android 10 the app fails to record usages, and consistently crashes FNAR. ANR's have been communicated and appels for a fix have also been made to the developers... And still nothing... So much for paying for a Pro version. Used to be a great app. Trust has been now been lost... Poor comms!

I like this a lot. I'd like it even more if I could choose what usage is shown in the notification. It shows usage against plan- but this never helps me. I always look at Day usage and the budget available for the day- these figures are far more meaningful to me and I'd like the option for this on the notification.

Been Using For Years! Amazing! It's saved me several times from going over my data cap as I still am capped unlike some plans that are unlimited. Regardless this app is definitely stable and is easy to allow you to quickly see what is consuming data!

No update for very long. Doesn't work as before on Android 9 and other comments indicate it doesn't work at all on 10. Switched to another up since I 'm going to get a new phone with android 10.

I have also used this app for years, it was one of my favourites and felt like an old friend. Unfortunately it seems the dev has gone - hasn't been updated for a year, website is gone and the app no longer works on my Note 8 😢. I'd like to thank the dev for this great app, wherever he/she/they may be now.

Was a fantastic app, lots of configurable notifications and handled roaming well. But since updating to Android 10, it's utterly broken and looks unmaintained.

Been a great help for years, however after the last phone update it now crashes on trying to open. Doesn't look like the app is being supported anymore as developer website didn't open.

Doesn't really work. When I press on the widget, it takes me to the app but then i keep getting the spinning busy icon and nothing happens. Very poor for a paid app.

This used to be the best app to help with data usage. Since the move to Android 10, it no longer works which is a real shame. Seems to have been abandoned.

This app no longer works with the newest Android versions. Apparently the developer has abandoned the app as his email address is no longer valid. I paid for the pro version.

No longer suppprted? I've loved this app for ages, but there are issues with notifications on Oreo (notification requirements have changed for Oreo). I tried to check the author's web site but it no longer exists. Shame, have to look for another app.

I am cross. This used to be a very good app so and I paid good money for the pro version. However, since Android update it no longer works and the developer appears to have abandoned it.

Great app but does not work properly with the newest android. Calculates amount of data used but does no longer differentiate between apps. Groups everything as one

Was happy with this app while it worked. I switched to Galaxy S20 and it doesn't work anymore. The reason for 1 star is the fact that developers didn't respond to any of my messages.

Abandoned? Not working on Android 10, no recent update. Web page doesn't appear to have any content either.

paid. a month later started messing my phone, ended up uninstalling. app starts going into a loop, cannot close it, slow down phone, ... no use at the moment.

Dated design. Probably abandoned app (last update 1.5 years ago at the time if this review). It still works too' for my device. But needs some improvements.

i have used this app since 2013, worked great. App has stopped working since android 9 update, I have emailed developer, no reply.

Was the perfect tool, now useless. Don't worn with newest Android versions anymore. Another abandoned project, and I stupid Idiot purchased it 🙄

Having unlimited traffic now, this app became obsolete. After 10 years of use I can say it's pretty damn good.
