This has totally gone downhill. 1. They used to be decent about updating the map with new areas. There are numerous areas I have mapped for two carriers, that haven't shown up for months. 2. This app does not consider band, which means that a high band signal that is prioritized by the device will artificially depress the signal strength on the map for that area. for example, if you have concurrent band 4 and 13 signals, the phone will use band until it becomes weak, then change to band 13.
Used to be a great app but as many others have commented data you collect no longer gets added to the map. No twitter updates for months either so app appears to have become a zombie. Not much point collecting data if it isn't shared via the map so perhaps it is time to try cellmapper. Hopefully their adverts or subscription model will continue to finance the servers and bandwidth required to share map updates.
It kept alerting (text alert) when I started a trip until I ended the trip. One after the other with no gaps. So for that reason that part of the app is unusable. I've had it work on another phone a while ago, so don't know if the update is broken or my phone doesn't like the app.
App's speed test has completely stopped working since moving from T-Mobile with the Note 8 to AT&T on the Note 10 plus. Upload and download both fail every time. It's also never added data to the map from either T-Mobile or AT&T. Terrible app but great concept. Unfortunately it only works conceptually.
Mapped over 1200 miles in Alaska on GCI and NONE of it - repeat NONE of it showed up. Same with local coverage near me on T-Mobile. I get they purged stale old data but why are new datasets you submit not showing up even 2-3 weeks after submitting. Utterly useless - don't see the point in gathering the data if none of it is now shared. The old sensorly app and website took data samples and added them the maps NEAR instant or within a day or two. Why even bother?
The app used to be good years ago, but they updated it and it doesn't report your signal to the server anymore. This is acting more like the limited iOS app. Many other useful features have been removed. No updates in 6 months? Looks like this has been abandoned. RIP Sensorly.
Maps no longer update with user collected data. That was the most important feature of the app, but stopped doing so a few months ago. Not useful without this feature.
Can't unlock my phone after mapping a trip with the screen off. Can't tell when uploading scans has finished. Samsung Galaxy J1. Used to like the older interface on other devices.
Looks like backend stopped rendering any uploaded data since middle of 2018. Cannot see any uploaded data sicne summer 2018, developers do not comment anything neither here nor in facebook. Very sad, it was very good service for years.
Installed Sensorly again to see if they fixed it. Nope! Nothing! It maps the coverage but does not upload permanently to the coverage map.
Uninstalling due to not updating the maps. I have submitted my scans several times over the past months and the maps still do not update. please fix.
Ever since the last update rollout nothing seems to work. Never see anything updated on the map in 3 months. uninstalling it today, defeats the point of crowdsourcing
The app tanks my ping when it's open, going from around 50 ms to +1,000 ms. Took me forever to figure this out, especially since I was using this app to test my ping.
it doesnt seem to update its routes any more. seems like there is no point in having the app waste my battery plus if it is not updating it is old info.
Mapping updates do not happen anymore. Sensorly has not updated maps since some time last year.
The data you submit does not show up on the maps anymore. Useless. Used to be a great app.
speed tests are nice. but it never loaded my own trips and tests to map. after weeks of checking.
Get a dark mode for this app! once you do that then i will rate 5 stars and re-install. It's 2019 every app should have a dark mode for those of us with AMOLED OR OLED screens
had this app now for the last few days on my new phone dont think its working as nothing is being uploaded to the map, when uploading Trips and Speed Tests,
This app provides nothing useful to the end user. Just data collection with no value delivered from it. Uninstalled.
I've had this app installed since July 16th 2019 and no area I've been too has been updated on their map.
Don't waste your time with this app! Your collected data will not show up on the coverage map.

Doesn't upload data, ever. The old version of this app/platform (pre March 2018) worked flawlessly. Since the release of the "new and improved" version, map upload times lagged severely and since July of 2018, ZERO data I have uploaded to the servers has been updated on the map. This was once my favorite mapping app and after no customer service and 6 months of waiting, it's lost a loyal client. Don't waste tour time downloading this app. Doesn't work for any network. Cellmapper, here I come!
