You never need to look at that boring old wallpaper again, or search for hours for a nice new one. This app will show you quality photographs from all over the world
- different ones each day!
The feature (popular, editor's choice, fresh, etc) and categories displayed are of course configurable, as is the refresh interval and the brightness of the images.
Please note that high resolution imagery and animation takes quite a bit of memory, so obviously this app is aimed at high-end devices.
If you are a Muzei user, 500 Firepaper also presents itself as an art source to Muzei.

What does buying Pro get me?I've already made all the features available to you for free. Supporting my developments is optional, but certainly appreciated.
Why is there no save feature ?Not allowed per 500px API terms.
Three finger tap to go to the next image doesn't seem to work, what now ?On some devices (like the HTC One) you need to put down your fingers one-by-one.
Why can't I pause indefinitely or show an image for longer than a day ?Per 500px API terms the app cannot keep an image around for longer than 24 hours

Why does this use so much RAM ?High-resolution imagery takes a lot of memory in uncompressed form, and multiple buffers are required. But fear not, should your device need the memory while the wallpaper/daydream is not visible, the memory occupied by the app will automagically be released and repurposed.
Can the cached images be put somewhere else, like on my sd card ?No, they cannot.
Do you want a balloon ?No, but thanks for asking.

This application is completely dependent on the availability of 500px and its APIs. 500px can remove the APIs or revoke this application's API keys at any time. This will cause the application to stop working.
Due to 500px's API usage conditions, the application cannot cache images for longer than 24 hours. As such, if you are not connected to Wi-Fi while either charging or having a near-full battery for more than a day, the application will run out of images to display.

Updating my review for 2020. I still absolutely love this app and it seems like there's a lot more new wallpapers. I am always amazed with the photography and it's breathtaking. Using this as a daydream screensaver is just the icing on the cake. As I said before, a wallpaper app cannot get better than this.
Don't waste your time installing this app!!!! It's been 3 years since this app was updated, so obviously the developer has abandoned it. There are plenty of similar apps continously being perfected and updated. Install one of those apps unless you prefer older images which use outdated, under-performing technology...
this app used to be five star. but since the change to reddit r eartporn as the only source of images the variety of images has been sorely reduced. before you had a multitude of categories to choose from now youre stuck with one. since theres been no update for almost a year i assume no fix to come which is why sadly i give it 1 star.
It's more than few months that I can't use the app because on all my devices I get a message that "the app is not installed" when I try to choose 500 firepaper as wallpaper. This happens on all my devices with android 7. And strangely, developer haven't fixed the problem.
Sorry, hate to, but I have to change to 1 star due to the only images being /r/earthporn, instead of the MANY images we could choose from in the past. Dev, if you read this, you have to find a way to get the old way back, or this app will die. This used to be so good but now it's lame af.
Used to be my favorite wallpaper app but now they only have scenic pictures. I've always been a fan of the greyscale feature.
Was in love with the app since 2016, however for some strange reason categories section is missing and not restricted to the wallpapers of certain category. Kindly bring back the categories section back.
New wallpapers are not coming. Daily wallpapers app is good than this. At least that can give me all new wallpaper everyday. Set the time and it will change wallpaper everyday.

Free and Exactly what i was looking for when i searched automatically changing wallpapers. Can't figure out if I'm able to do the same to my lock screen though
So far one of the best, only if it was able to change the picture right when going to sleep not after it, it would be the absolute best
I know it's not the developers fault, but I've got to remove one star for the reduced image variety after 500px's API-change.

Please bring back the options to choose other genres of wall papers. Not just earth. After sometime it gets boring

Works much better than muzei's Reddit plugins. Ability to choose own subreddits and multiple subreddits would make this a solid 5 star app.
was a good app wben i bought it i iunderstand why but not happy none the less if itqould have stayed would have given 5 * but not feelin it an was worth tbe money when i bought it but yes i am unstallin it now
