BUGS everywhere on this APP, which leads to a close APP pop-up sign constantly, on top of that this APP offers no "Dark Background Option" which is extremely important for your vision, some people continue to read long novels on white bright background screens, learning the hard way from your own stupidity can cost you irreversible eye-sight damages, .... UNINSTALL immediately!

App will not open. It used to work just fine. I have written several times to the developers, got useless bot response about tiktok each time. Too bad. It was a good app for several years. They somehow managed to ruin it.

Could be better though the thing is, I can’t for some reason open the app, everytime it would load then back to my homescreen, it used to work just fine but now I don’t know what’s happening to it, it's always not responding. Pls fix this.

Used to love this app, but it just doesn't work anymore. Crashes every single time upon starting. Seems many people have problems with it nowadays.

My favorite app for reading books on my phone, but rated low because it doesn't work anymore! New version doesn't work. No longer opens any epub files on my phone & no longer shows them in the folder when trying to open. I've checked all settings and app permissions. It also doesn't access storage the way it used to, so only access the main internal storage.

Good selection of older, public domain, and classic books. Sometimes has a jarring LOUD ad at launch. LOUD ads make it impossible to use app at night while others sleep. Ads are very LOUD. Don't mind ads but should have ability within app settings to mute the LOUD unnecessary music.

I have been unable to open the app. Not sure what the problem is. I have enjoyed for the last 3 years with no issues. I did recently get a new phone and reinstalled all my books. I also uninstalled and then reinstalled on my new phone.

I gave Oodles a1 star rating because oodles ebooks keeps stopping and not responding at all. I'ld enjoy Oodles more if the app doesn't keep stopping.

I've been using this since 2016 and never fails to amuse me with its stories and ability to open my files through it

The book that I read on this app was generally well done with few incidences of typographical errors, and missing/transposed words. I will happily continue to use Oodles for further enjoyable reading.

I would have rated it 4star when i first downloaded it, but it had gotten worse. It used to be you had to watch 1 advertisement to download a book. Now you have to watch 1 advertisement each chapter. If it's a 50 chapter book that's 50 videos. Then alot of advertisements you can't click away from even after they are finished. Then if you minimize the tabs you lose all your download progress and have to start over. They should have made it where you can view how much you have downloaded to finish

I love the app. Quality idea and I've used it off and on for years. I'm fine with ads but the amount you have on the app makes it unusable.

Just installed a few minutes ago and it keeps on crashing.

Almsot perfect IMO. Its simple and easy to use, and has a ton of options. The main think I would suggest for future updates, is a tagging system. It has tags for genres, which is great. But I wish I could have a list of books I wish to read. Instead, I have to download it, which then takes up space on my phone. Cause just scrolling though, I've found sooo many books and audiobooks I want. If I could just have a wish list, then I could just go through that every time I finish a new one.

I've used this app for years and it always worked very well until recently. The bookmark function doesn't work on my Lenovo tablet: I click on a sentence I had bookmarked,the screen goes black and the app crashes. Minor detail but the color picker also doesn't work anymore, I can't adjust it, the wheel shows up but clicking a different color doesn't do anything. Besides that, I'll always be a loyal user to this app 😇

Used app. for 1 book left and went to Google Audio etc. Big Mistake!! Narrator's were absolutely Horrific! By 3rd page had pounding headache!! After checking out many other options I had only one option left, return to the Best!! Thank you for the Best Read, and most of the Wonderful Soothing Voices that you have manage to find in this Hectic World! Kudos to them and to Ya'll! Thank you and Happy New Year!🎉🎆

I have read so many books on this app! I find it super useful as some of the classics can be thicker in physical form and harder to carry around during the day. So this app makes it easier for me to read during the day while at work or commuting and then pick up where I left off once I return home. I've never had issues reading directly from the app at all and will continue to use this app for a long time!

The app keeps crashing whenever I use it.

I had this app for years ad free. Now we get ads and to stop them they ask for payment of $13,99 which I paid, but guess what? I still get ads. Don't bother.

I hope that there will be a constant update to its content. More books, more poetry and more collections of other literary pieces. Suggestion: I would love to see an improvement to its UI. Its too plain and stale. Plus, I wish users can backup ones' data through sign-up on Google account or Facebook. Otherwise, great job.

Amazing! So many great free books! It had been a struggle for me to find a good reading app with a good diversity of books to choose from, but then I found Oodles and was relieved of such a problem 😊 Another great thing about the app is that I can change the background from white to black if needed, and in general adjust everything to fit my personal preferences. Now I read with comfort and all this is for free. Thank you, Oodles, I'm very happy with this app, definitely recommend it ❤️

The app was really good and fun . There was a mix of old stories and modern stories which I liked , about 3/4 old stories and 1/4 modern . The only real reason I didn't give it five stars is in the audiobook even when you delete a story it still keeps on playing unless you delete the entire app which I had to do first,but other than that the app is really nice . Oooh and something unexpected : the story still continues even when you take your device off so I really liked it! I recommend the app

I really like this app... it has both audiobooks and ebooks in the one app, and it is completely free. It has one of the best selections I've found yet. All of the books are not copyrighted and are in the public domain, so you won't find new or modern titles here, however, just about any classic you can think of is available here, and many other more obscure but worthy titles can be found.

Everything is easy about this app. Not like the previous one that I had which kept kicking me out when I was pressing on GENRES or trying to find the various books saying it was a system error unidentified, please try later, but the problem still remained. What I like about this app is that it offers a bookmark which the other one did not. And with this app, when I turn a page, I turn a page, not a whole chapter like that previous app. Yes this app is much better, five stars! 👏

So I actually really like this app. A marriage of project Gutenberg and Librivox, it has a great selection of classics. HOWEVER in the past week something has gone awry and I am no longer able to download audio books. I attempted to contact the developer directly, but they will not respond. Hopefully a 1 star review makes them take notice

Update: Doesn't work after my phone upgrade. Xiaomi mi 11 something. Please fix it 🙏 🙏 I'm really grateful for this app cause I've found so many obscure books that I hadn't found otherwise! Thanks!

Great app, phenomenal selection of great literature

I have been using this app for a while and it's very nice, however since the last update the app won't open. I've seen some other reviewers with this same problem. If you could fix it that would be awesome; other than that it's an awesome app. Thanks and God Bless :)
