5E Spellbook

Fantastic app. Has everything you could need spell-wise. At least that's what I have always said about it until I couldn't get the sorcerer spells to show up at all. The sorcerer spells are blank for every level, and uninstalling and reinstalling didn't fix it. Even after updating as the response said.

Not optimized for tablet use (How I want to use it as a DM). Lots of having to hit forward and back. Also has the nice tactic of putting ad's really close to the buttons you have to hit all the time. I dont mind ads in programs, and pay to get rid of them if the app is worth it, but I do not like the tactic of designing placement around accidental clicking of said ads. It diminishes the experience while trying out the app making me less likely to purchase it.

This is easily the best spell book I've seen. I highly recommend it despite its flaws. You can't add homebrew spells to characters and favourites, the "at higher levels" option disappears once you make the spell unless you've clicked it, and you can't customize the numbers on the ranges. If those few problems were fixed (I'm aware it won't be immediately but hopefully asap), this app would be perfect.

I really hate to say this, but the recent update has made the app unusable. I love this app. It is super up to date and easy to use. I just can't use it since the last update. I tried clearing the cache as another review suggested, but to no avail. Assistance from the developer would be appreciated. Edit: a quick response from the developer was appreciated. Clearing data and cache worked. I does unfortunately mean I lost my homebrew spells, but that is fine with me since it was necessary.

I am being fair as I can here, this app is very helpful and it has served me well for almost a year now. The primary reason I am uninstalling it now is because whenever I minimize the app, leave it on for too long, or back out of one spell to look at another even, there is a high probablity it won't show the text and I have to restart the App. It isn't that hard or time consuming to do but it just got too irritating for me and I have to try and find something better. Hope you guys can fix this.

Great resource! I use it in just about all of my games because it saves lots of page turning. I noticed an error today though, at least one, if not more, of Artificer's spells are not listed as being usable by it. I'm assuming it's just a glitch or oversight so I'm using this review as a "report a problem" button.

Amazing tool! It gives perfect descriptions for everything. You can set favorites and make lists for individual characters, and it tells you what page in the source material it's on so you can find it physically. Great free app, our entire play group uses it because it's so user friendly. Definitely recommend for any d&d player who's a spellcaster

Awesome new features! Loving the characters lists and the new homebrew section is quite well designed. I have a few suggestions: enable homebrew spells to be added to Favorites and Character Lists; allow custom inputs for Range and Duration; and make sure paragraphs are preserved when displaying homebrew spells. Edit: there also seems to be a problem with the At Higher Levels function, sometimes it just doesn't show up and sometimes it disappears after first making the spell. Great job overall!

Love this App. I'm still experiencing the missing text bug after your fix. I've tried reinstalling and that hasn't worked either. Any suggestions? Re: No updates were available for either. I did disable chrome then enable and it appears to have fixed it. Ty for response.

This thing is great. I hadn't actually used it for a while, but it seems they've updated the homebrew spell system which makes it much easier because now its not all text fields. The only problem I have woth the homebrew spell thing is when I put breaks between paragraphs on the spell, upon saving it, they just vanish in the preview making the whole thing one big paragraph. It doesn't remove the breaks in the editor though, so do they just not work?

Works great on my first character in the list, but attempting to add spells to the second character results in nothing, meaning I'm stuck with one spell list. Having purchased the app i would expect something simple like this to be fixed EDIT: seems that only the second character in the list is incapable of adding Spells, but the rest work fine.

Good app, but doesn't seem to be a way to delete or edit characters once they are named. So are we stuck with 5 names forever? Edit to respond: There is no minus button on mine to open a delete dialog. Please try again. Edit 2 Found the button. Honestly that's very poor design, as the plus symbol looks like part of the top banner (which is non-pressable) and jammed between the banner and the remove ads ad. I'll give you one more star, but please make this a lot more obvious.

The app contains all the spells (well, not RIGHT now but the dunamancy spells were added quickly). For most players, that is enough. Still though, the character spell list is limited to five, it bugged out last time I reached that limit, and you can't delete character lists or even change their name. Its a decent resource, but I'll pass on a paid version.

Dude, I loved using this app I've had to redownload it because there is a weird bug making all the icons spazz out of control and after a few minutes, it makes the app completely useless as I cannot see the contents of the spell's description. I have no idea on how to fix this.

There's the occasional typo, but any complaint is honestly overshadowed by just how useful and well put together it is. It is well organized and easy to navigate, and I've made great use of it as both a DM and a player. Can't recommend it enough.

Love this app! As a DM and a player I use it all the time. Wouldn't hesitate to buy it but tbh I don't see the point. The ads aren't really a problem and you don't gain any additional functionality by purchasing it. My ONLY issue is I can't attach homebrew spells to characters, but it's nbd

Google Play is asking me questions as if this is a game lmao It's not. It's a great tool to use when I'm picking spells for my D&D characters. It's a much better alternative to just looking up a list online, as this is very well organized for you. It filters by level, types, which actions they pertain to, etc.

It's a great spellbook and has all the spells available, to my knowledge. Great to handle and can easily find whatever spells I need in a session. Only thing I find lacking is the inability to have multiple custom lists, [since the only real one is the favorites list].

Excellent product. All the spells and easy to sort and find. You can favorite spells which is nice but I wish I could keep more than one list of spells saved as favorites Edit: Upgraded to 5 stars with the new update allowing multiple character spell lists saved. Excellent app for players and DMs

This app WAS amazing and my go-to app for spells but now it's always blank for the last several months. I have to uninstall and reinstall, which only fixes if for maybe 30 minutes. It's just really Disappointing, especially since it's in the "fixed" patches notes but it's not fixed at all - Issue seems to be resolved (Edit)

A fantastic collection of just about all of the spells available in D&D. The app is organized and easy to navigate. The spells are all recorded there well and accurately. I would thoroughly recommend to any player or DM

This was a great app for a while but the latest update seems to have introduced a few bugs. Warlock pact spells just return the cantrip list, for example. Considerably less useful now.

I LOVE this app. It is an invaluable part of my toolbox as both DM and player. It makes organization and reference so much easier! And I cannot wait for the Dunamancy spells to be added. Keep up the great work folks!

Great resource! So helpful to have all spells in one place for multiclass PCs and sorted by level. It also has bonus spells from other classes available as needed. Ads were small but I paid the $2.99 just to thank the programmer. I hope he continues to update it as official 5e things are released.

Best organized spell list I've found; much simpler than flipping back and forth through the players handbook to find out what each spell does. The addition of customized spell list for up to five characters really improved the app. Homebrew is available if that's important to you.

I have really enjoyed this app. It's super handy while playing, especially when I've got a character that can change spells every day. My only big gripe is that you can't change character names once you've set it up.
